I told my wife that guys will want to date your apartment guide, with the tight dress, but we'll be smart to marry the one constantly testing the light switches! ;) She might be a little boring, but she was absolutely the one who was looking out for your best interest. That's what really matters, long-term - someone who has your back. Wife and I love the channel!
There are hundreds of units for rent in that complex. Many unit owners won't move on price. My experience is the richer the unit owner the more they will hold the line on price. But in these pandemic times when some unit owners can not afford to let their units stay empty because of a shortage of Farang renters it makes sense to see as many units as possible thru different agents in a complex you like and put in as many low offers as you can. There is an old saying "If your opening offer doesn't insult then you went in too high."
@@molonlabe9602 A caring landlord or an able tenant can easily change the direction of opening, the instructions are in the user manual that should be kept in the property at all times, the landlord can ask the tenant or the tenant can ask the landlord to change it. As fridge doors nearly always open 180 degrees it may sometimes be preferable to have it open the wrong way as you say because if there is an obstruction like a wall in the opposite side then you can only open 90 degrees so making some loading or unloading of certain items difficult especially if you have drawers.

I can’t stand the two tone tiled walls in the bathroom here. My favorite is City Garden tower with the new design throughout, large L shaped balcony, and amenities. A close second is Vee’s number one pick with the U shaped condo and amazing view. Unixx has the best view and pool area but the condo was average. Tough choices! The suspense is killing me way more than it should. Lol
It reminds me of an abandoned luxury complex in china somewhere. Who knows hopefully not....But it also has a the feel of a complex in Dubai maybe.... the fridge opens the wrong direction.
Both of those apartments are very nice.. the second looks the best value to me....I agree with you, the stairway and access to the car/bike garage is a bit weird, not going to be fun when it rains.

@Geo Geo that completely depends on what lifestyle you want, and what kind of state pension you might receive once you arrive at your pensionable age! Do you want to live within a few metres of the bar scene, or would you rather live 20 mins away, therefore not being tempted every day to throw money at that scene 24/7!

Very interesting since I am also looking for a condo. I have a preference for Grand Avenue because of location in combination with size. The Base I stayed once but 27 m2 too small for 2 persons, bigger ones too expensive

Loved the first two bedroom but wish it was on a higher floor. You didn’t mention the gym at the second unit but it was beautiful there too and a lot cheaper.
Bargain down the 17000 baht unit and grab it....higher floor is always better in my opinion I totally agreed with the carpark entrance noise in the master bedroom of the 22000 baht unit
I lived on soi 15 for many years. The convenience is out of this world in my opinion. I find condos like Arcadia nice but a bit out of the way verse being right in the heart of the action so to speak. What's great about soi 15 is it's pretty quiet when you need it to be. I've seen that condo you're about to look at and I'm curious as to your thoughts. Great series.
Hello Lucas , something that is hard to figure out is sound insulation, was told new builds can be very bad hear noise from other flats , got to choose room location carefully, ie not near elevator as will hear clack clack clack high heals 24 hrs , or what demographic there catering to 😎😎
Soz R4K not so keen on that last place (honest opinion) i think the units themselves were fine/good, bit pricey perhaps, its more the outside, just too huge and enclosed for me and looked a little too 'disney design/stylised' for my tastes. There were some plus points tho the parking like you said, the newness, the gym, cleaning facilities and prob looks a lot better in the flesh. TV size great. I think im just not so keen on the really huge complexes they would get really busy at full occupancy i think, but probably pretty great choice right now... If you could get a unit facing outwards from the complex with sea or city views i reckon my opinion would change a lot. Shame you couldn't get to view one of those. The last unit was kinda half and half and that was definately the best of the lot in this vid in my opinion. Still very useful info R4K thanks a lot for sharing! All the best from the UK 🇬🇧
Wow 22k is a lot of money for that first unit! Check out Riviera Jomtein or riviera wongamat condo apartments. For me they are the most superior in Pattaya. Especially the newly built jomtein one! Looks incredible!

Hey Bruv, Out of all the condo's we have seen the 17,000 BHT would be the one I went for. I doubt very much you will find a property with as much floor space like this one for the price. I would hope to get the property for 15,000 BHT with a long term rental. Look forward to seeing the last of the condos on your next video, decision time!
My condo that's paid off in south Florida a mile from the beach is $600 a month just if you add the HOA plus property tax and it's nothing compared to that. Wow what a vacation spot.

17,000 almost half of what most older Aussies get in their aged pensions per month (40,000-50,000/month). For a condo in Pattaya South, a bit more than I would be prepared to pay after seeing the likes of New Nordic where I was offered a studio for 10,000 per month and even this was negotiable. Like all things personal taste, budget, desired facilities, location etc .. good to see what Lucas has explored and what values are about despite the flat market given almost no farangs are yet coming back to Thailand.
Just shows how important it is to go compare, 2 condos in the same building with different levels of equipment, but you could choose the second and spec it up to the level of the first for a couple of thousand baht and pay less for the term you rent, I know what I would do, but I'm still with Vee on my favorite because of location.
I’ve had my eye (7 to 8 years in advance of my retirement) on Arcadia Beach resort, City Garden, Grand Avenue resort and the Urban Attitude! I know it a few years away, but I’ve been watching the prices drop approx 30% in the last 9 months, and it will be a long time before they start to climb. From my research, my favourite two are Grand Avenue and Arcadia, both due to the amenities and their respective locations. 14000 for a 45 sq metre condo appears to be the kind of rate that can be achieved, if my financial circumstances allowed me to be there next spring, I’d take one of those two!! Good vlog, especially for me due to my future plans, much much better than promoting your mates bars, not a fan of that at all... Cheers mate 👍👍

When you talk about the prices of units for water and electricity what does this mean? What is the average cost per month for these utilities in a condo?
I liked the size of the units but agree that it is a bad call to make you go back outside to enter your building after you've parked in a parking garage.
If the second unit you were shown is 5000 baht less than the first, and they are almost identical, I would venture to say that the owner of the second unit is simply more motivated to get the place leased and under contract. I'd jump on it as it's the best unit you've shown us thus far and the price is spot on. That said, I know you've got other units to check out.

I stayed at the City Garden on Soi 15 on a one year contract. Will not post my thoughts here until Lucas has posted his.

If the second unit you were shown is 5000 baht less than the first, and they are almost identical, I would venture to say that the owner of the second unit is simply more motivated to get the place leased and under contract. I'd jump on it as it's the best unit you've shown us thus far and the price is spot on. That said, I know you've got other units to check out.
