Everywhere i look for help knowing that i have narcissist traits they tell me can't ever change. After buying Dr. Bradshaw book homecoming, and doing some of the therapies I can already tell how better I feel knowing that I am able to love myself and others. Thank God for this man.

I hope that is true Nico. I am in love with someone who has the disorder and hoping he becomes self aware enough to seek or accept help like with this book.

@@melaniec1882 well tbh it took me a very long time, after many split ups with my wife over the years she finally got fed up of me and decided to leave me for good. This is what triggered in me that i needed to change for good.

@@Nico-jb5ej Would you say you genuinely loved her as far as what you can say love is for you? How did you become self-aware?

@@melaniec1882 I get where you are coming from. The only reason to stick it out is to believe that the person truly believes that they live you.

This is very important work done by John. I wish I had this when I was 18 instead of now at 38.

It's always now. Be kind and close your eyes. Find the you you wish had known in a moment you wish to have known it and let that 18 year old self know that you have it now, and that you will always have it, and that everything is OK.

I was so glad I got to meet John Bradshaw about 20 years ago. His work and his books helped me in so many ways. It was a pleasure to have the chance to sit down and talk to him for about 30 minutes.

Oh gosh, those clips were so powerful. I cried throughout. You can feel so much of the pain they went through. Btw if you missed it, the practitioner is named Kip Flock. He's still around.

Yeah...I balled my eyes out. It was like she was me, or I was her. Not sure I could have gotten to that feeling without her help.

I still say that this 10-part series is the most important thing ever aired on PBS. Everyone should see it, & read the book that goes with it.

The clip about the therapy was so powerful... it's amazing how much anger she had and it's also amazing how she was able to get in touch with it and express it! Thank you for this upload. John Bradshaw is amazing.

I am just not sure why he calls humans "animals". We weep because we have emotions, a heart, a soul -- all of which were given by God to humans ONLY. Mr. Bradshaw followed his statement with "all of which are HUMAN emotions". There is enough truth in Mr. Bradshaw's presentation that many of us buy into it completely. I urge you though to critically listen to all this info.
Humans were created with a conscience, a mind, and a soul by God. Animals were not created with a conscience at all. Humans and animals were created and designed by God differently. Please stop comparing humans to any other creature in this world.

I'm not sure why you find this part the important part to make a statement on. A whole powerful talk, but you are hung up on animals being created by "god" differently. Good grief the thumping is strong.
