I’m new to the spirituality scene, but I’ve been feeling very different lately and have realised this universe has been giving me hints my entire life.
I would even have moments as a young child that I truly knew I was not my body and I was just somewhat controlling it.
I would lay in my bed before I was 10 years old just staring at my hands with a knowing I was not the body. That did fade out as time went on but at almost 38 years old I think Im coming back to it. Enjoying your channel 😊
Very interesting what you are telling. I had some conversations with young boys and girls. They were a little older than 10, but I still got the impression that they have like an innate understanding of spiritual things that we lose as we grow up. They would come up with ideas on God and the Soul that nobody told them, and they nailed it very much by themselves. It kind of surprised me at first out of such young people. Yet probably I should be more surprised of the fact that education and conditioning by adults lets all that fade away, which I find very unfortunate.
The more the disassociation,the more the ego the more the selfishness the more the me,my,mine, myself the more this illusion feels real. I came to this conclusion. You make it more real beacause you can't help. And this is power of maya even if you know this is Maya you can't get enough of it.
You will find out that guilt and regret are so much more powerful then you even considered. This power will dictate your destination in death. No matter what you chose to believe in life. Guilt and regret are no illusion.
*In 1973 the body I was experiencing was pronounced "DEAD On ARRIVAL" at a medical center... More than half an hour passed, then its heart started beating again... During that time I, "LIFE The Real Self", ( NOT The Human entity ) entered "The LIGHT", and have remained in "The LIGHT" to this day...*
*I, "LIFE The Real Self" ( NOT The Human Body ) went to "The Marriage Supper of The Lamb"... I also witnessed "The Birth of The MAN Child", ( which took about seven hours ) mentioned in "The Revelation" chapter 12... This was very helpful and easy to understand. We engage too much in worldly duality and ongoing (internal/external) conflicts instead of being just an observer and letting things happen.
Wu-wei describes it very well and there was a quote in a tv-series, where a mother talked to her abused son and she said: "The secret is, not to interfere."
It was a bit absurd but made sense in weird way. Things happen. Everyday. "Good" and "bad" ones. Sometimes we have to let them happen and be at peace with how it's going.
Zen.
This is all true. A good healer knows to take the ego out of the equation and the spirit does the healing. Out of body experiences you have to completely silence the ego, no thoughts, and let the body fall asleep while staying silent but alert, and the quiet ego goes along for the ride. The second you obsess mentally over anything you see, you get thrown back to the body. The more you do this the more you learn how the spirit thinks, conceptually. Silent witness, no judgment, just pure being, and reality opens up. OHHHHH what is that!!!!! WHAM, back to the body and the ego goes crazy.

Nameste Jason, fascinating but challenging divine principle to accept because of our conditioning or being domesticated. Once there is an understanding of our true nature , it relieves us from striving to be “Spiritually perfect.“ I guess the challenge is how do we reconcile the fact people do evil things to people? How can we find balance or equanimity in the evil acts of others? How should one approach this challenge Jason? If you can give me your perspective on this? Thanks again for another video. Thought provoking.

Two questions:
1) Why should anyone believe that, once understanding it? (Is it meant to be self-evident? Is it meant to be useful?)
2) Since there doesn't seem to be anything _prescriptive_ about it - just a statement of what is the case - why should anyone care?

You're a metaphysical spirit contained in a physical body.
The great truth is most directly translated as the Hermetic principles, once compared to Sanatana Dharma, you see there is a slow degradation and distortion which has taken place from all other branches of this occult knowledge for at least 5000 years. In India, in Persia, in China, in Japan, and especially in the west. Not to say these branches are false, they are indirect.
Allegories and riddles - Riddled with dogma, mistranslation, and superstition.
For example words and definitions keep changing throughout time. Qi Gong, only 100 years ago was called “Dao Yin”, the eternal way of power (yin = Shakti = power), stemming from “Tantra” which predates Yoga.
I think it’s time to be honest about the fall of consciousness that is written in Upanishads, which is clearly illustrated to be the very reason these scriptures were written down in the first place, to prepare for Kali-Yuga.
Semantics is the result of the followers of any one branch, and the result is mis-understanding.
Samadhi isn’t the end goal, it’s the first step into the garden. So often this is presented as the end but it is really the beginning.

Just like you mentioned in another video, all the systems for enlightenment in the public sector are only the “preliminary steps” repeated over and over, and from one point of view it’s understandable to protect the public from themselves, but I think the time has come to move forward into the garden.
The greatest teacher will create students that surpass him. So from that logic where are all the Buddhas? Where are all the “Christ’s”. Their true teachings have been reduced to childlike allegories.

It's all about awareness that the mind and its thoughts / content are external, just like everything else that the mind-itself perceives to be external. The mind can seem to be, from the perspective **of** mind, lol, to be a / the "subject", when in truth it is just another aspect of the appearance of all things in their ever-shifting forms on the waves of the surface, of illusion. How does this awareness occur? Like everything else, it just arises as it arises. Nothing needs to be done about anything. The waves upon the ocean move as they move. Peace.
This sounds a bit like "the unthinkable" that my brain refuses to stop trying to label. The unthinkable is not what can't be thought, because that literally can't be thought of, and I can relate to that. We have the things we know, the things we don't know, and the things we don't know that we don't know, and that's about as far as our mind can go.
The Tao which can be spoken of is not the true Tao.

Do scriptures assert any divinity to atman or are they neutral about it?
Its rather quite simple. You go to sleep, you begin to dream.
Destinct sections of your mind produce a world, and fills it with self willed entities.
One being become many, yet there is truly only one
As you are not the Supreme Being, you are one of created being. Made from a division of consciousness of the Dreamer.
The 'undifferentiated" shakti, devoid of gunas, equals dream energy. Yet when you inter viraja river (undifferentiated state) you are still an observer.
So this is ONLY speaking of the nature of the self.
This is NOT speaking to the nature of maya, or the nature of the Supreme dreamer

what I dont understand is how the atman is supposed to be the same as Brahman. Through meditation I can reach a form of consciousness where I am no longer sensing my individuality. It feels like I have joined a sort of universal being. But I am still sensing or being conscious of the universe, I am not actually Brahman because if I was I could answer the question , why is there existence? What I am experiencing during meditation is a symbolic representation of the unity of the universe. You could say it is only my ego asking the question of 'why'... but I do feel as though if the atman knows, why is it holding out. Even if everything is an illusion, why has the illusion being created? It would make much more sense, if there is any sense to it all, that we know when we are born the truth, which we quite clearly dont.
I often think the answer is just to identify the right problem and be at odds with Atman. I say that because we were brought here by Darwinian evolution, nature red in tooth and nail. Most of our social problems, along John Gray lines, are Darwinian game theory issues like tragedy of the commons, prisoner's dilemma, and other multipolar traps. We're dealing with a world that just sees power, status, and ultimately number of babies that survive. That's by design, and that design seems to be simple oscillators yielding complexity through what ends up being Darwinian processes. The likelihood of humanity ever 'waking up' - they'll wake up when the cutthroat 'facts don't matter - dominance matters' gene game stops paying the only dividends worth receiving unless you're some kind of permanent social pariah (which is typically what the esotericism world is made of - outsiders and 'misfits', and I say that as someone on the spectrum whose noticed there's a bit too much correlation). Humans will probably only ever 'wake up' if we're likely cyborg and living in a technological landscape that's muted us to effectively being permanent wards of an AI. We won't wake up of our own will, likely ever, because Darwinian fitness depends on being 'fast asleep' and it's the 'fit' that make the future not the great magicians, mystics, and meditators who don't put genetic votes on the future out.
I think the duality lies in its non-dualistic nature in terms of the Atman, it is not injurious, but it is not non violent so is is both injurious and non violent. If we create our own reality, the Atman feeds off of our duality, and puts out whatever it is at the time, be it positive or not. So although amoral, and non dualistic in its nature it still operates according to our duality. The final point is that it is illusory, that is ONLY based on dualistic nature of being.
Read Srila Jiva Goswami's Sat Sandharbas (translation by Satyanarayan Das Babaji). Achintya Bhedabheda is a more cohesive and accurate interpretation of the Prasthana Trayi than Sankaracharya's Advaitavada.
Better be Ego believing there is a killer and a killed than Ego believing to be Atman. The second is the REALLY dangerous thing and surely it is more common than the really realized ones.
Phew, glad there's one here. There's good reason why this teaching is for old age.

Hats off to your knowledge. Also read Uddhav Gita (Bhagvat Purana 11.28) where Lord Krishna explains Advaita.
There are two energies: one spiritual which the individual soul is a part of. And there is the temporary material energy, which goes through cycles of manifestation and destruction. A (material object) cannot be infinite - thats true. Matter comes and goes, that's true. But the eternal individual soul is neither matter or a material object. The Ahankar is "false ego", thinking in terms of I and mine in relationship with matter.... a false conception. Consciousness is the symptom of the eternal soul - without which each person reading this, could not do so. Read Bhagavad Gita, chapter 7 if you want to hear God explain it.
If you really think nothing exists, your words and teaching are ultimately nothing, so why do you waste your time and ours, telling us nothing?

Cute... There is by far no other book near the Word of God with its impact. Avadhuta Gita is known in India and in some circles of Cat women with crystals in their home, but the Bible is the place where you want to look when you seek a connection to our creator

I can’t believe people believe this or any other religious BS. This is so, so stupid. If humans keep putting so much effort and time into such inanity, there will be too few people solving real life problems.
This is sort of what all eastern religions and many more smaller traditions around the world are based off. (Non dual reality).
Don’t think of it like a dogmatic belief system that oh u r atman and blah blah. Its more of an inner experiment. If you are lucky enough to feel a strong pull toward it and try out the practices, you will realize they are not joking.
Its more like this entire body mind is just a bunch of atoms all innocently doing there thing and that there is no real thing called a “me” inside here. And this can be realized experientially, not just intellectually. The experience is 1000x more profound than anything the material world can give you.
Why, when you are addressing westerners do you repeatedly use eastern terminology? This makes absolutely no sense at all to me. And only results in unnecessary confusion. Translation from ancient languages are between tricky and impossible.
I understand all of it but I've studied the same sources for 40+ years (in Australia). More of an issue is neglect of any relevant study of Hermetics & the European traditions, or comparison, mergence, conflict etc. One of the biggest questions in esoterica is where is wisdom, when so many traditions all claim to be the sole truth? Fairly obviously this leaves us each having to work out or decide for ourselves. Failing to address the entire western half means those raised in it are left with conflict, having to reject entirely their original upbringing to accept these teachings from other cultures.
