Hi, friends! It's been awhile since we uploaded a video, and we're really excited to share this one with you (it's a bit different than our usual videos)! All the recipes are linked in the description box :)
@Howard Kurgan Barry is arguing a straw man. You never said that the reason for not consuming dairy was because cows have their milk extorted from them, but rather because of the animal cruelty involved. Plus, Barry is being intentionally misleading and condescending because he thinks vegans have "precious attitudes." Your post was anything but "precious." It was factual and explained the specifics of animal cruelty in the dairy industry. He also assumes that vegans are so because they think they can change the dairy industry simply by abstaining from dairy. You also alluded to no such thing. Barry does not consider, for example, that it could be a personal moral choice to not participate in cruelty. Based on his actions, Barry is a troll. He's intentionally not listening to what you are saying and hoping to spread negativity on the internet. He's not worth it.
Not bashing vegans.. but good arguments exist that cheese helped spur human brain development. Hard to argue with a super food that helped create us, or at least that is my opinion.
Two of my favorite vegan RUclipsrs - one from Toronto where I used to be and one in SD where I currently am. But purely coincidence. I’m not 100% sure from where but my sister-in-law found some good bagels in SD. I want to say the French Bakery, but that doesn’t make sense. Didn’t try them, but I doubt they’re as good as Montreal or NYC bagels
I watch these kind of videos, showcasing vegan products and local restaurants, a lot. The production effort you put into this is impressive, it looks so good.
Oh my word! That was the best explanation I have ever heard to the question of giving up a food and yet needing to eat an alternative. I shouldn't have to give up a food i enjoyed just because i gave up cruelty. Wow. I will be using that.
Your queso recipe is a regular staple (and my favorite of all the plant based nacho recipes I have tried). As a former cheese addict, I didn’t think I would ever be able to live without “real” cheese. Whelp, it’s been over a year now so it IS possible. But…my main reason for commenting on this video today is because I finally, finally made your fermented cashew cheese & it just finished today. OH MY WORD. This is better than any artisanal hand crafted high end vegan cheese I have bought in the last year and trust me, I have purchased many. Sooooooooo good! Thank you for yet another winner.
Your vegan queso recipe is SO incredible. I was so blown away when I made this! We’ve been making frequently ever since you posted it and it never gets old.
I grew up in Wisconsin where cheese is basically it’s own food group. I also suffered from eczema and nose allergies due to eating dairy since I was a kid. I gave up cheese a few times, and learned to make my own vegan cheeses, but always went back to dairy intermittently. It is so addictive!! It has now been several years since I’ve eaten dairy/cheese and I even have my own company making and selling vegan cheese here in Malaysia. I love my own vegan cheese, but I still do have that lingering craving for dairy cheese. I won’t eat it again, but I have to admit that it has a lingering addictive quality that probably will never totally go away. But no worries, I fully enjoy all the awesome vegan options out there, especially my own line hehe
I love your dedication to providing so many options for vegans. I’m not even vegan, but I consider it more and more whenever I watch your videos!! Thanks for your creativity and inspiration:)
I just wanted to share something I’ve discovered when making pizza. I put on after the tomato base I add guacamole and then add the toppings and of course vegan cheese. I know it sounds really weird but if you just give it a try the guacamole gives it that Tang that I’m always searching for that vegan cheese just doesn’t have.
I made the marinated vegan feta today and it’s amazing! I’m using it in a salad tomorrow but I can’t stop stealing pieces out of the fridge, it tastes delicious!
You can partially melt the cheese slices in the pan before placing them in the bread - then cook as normal. Works well to melt the cheese and no need for the microwave 😊
I recently went dairy free due to my severe lactose intolerance and found Violife cheese and I’m OBSESSED. I love cheese and it was such a hard decision to go dairy free but because of Violife I don’t crave cheese (as much😅).

I used to crave it a lot. Trick is, to stop the dairy cheese for one month then introduce your tasters to the vegan variety. I couldn't stand vegan cheese or vegan mayo years ago, but now it's improved a hell of a lot!. Violife is probably my favourite brand, had it on toast for breakfast this morning and it was satisfying :-D nice on pasta too!. I am loving your recipes!!!
Violife also has some fantastic options. I really like their parmesan, cream cheese and mature cheddar slices. Love the grilled cheese tips. Thanks Nisha!

Some other places to try (i just moved from SD): •Purple Mint (Vegan Vietnamese) •Native Foods (burgers, wraps, bowls etc) •Plant Powered (vegan fast food) •Breakfast Republic (breakfast place with vegan menu. My favorite is the jammin bennie) •Tired Eyes Coffee (all drinks made with vegan milks, their bakers latte is delicious) Thats all i can think of on the top of my head will edit when i think of more 😊
Oh my gosh, if I lived anywhere near Donna Jean I would be there in a second, that pizza looks so good! Thanks for all the great cheese recipes, I'm definitely going to give them a try. xx
Oh how I wish I lived in a big city like San Diego so I could visit vegan restaurants. I live right in the middle of dairy farming country in rural Australia. It's very hard to find meat-free options in restaurants here and its almost impossible to find vegan options.
A big thank you for exploring vegan cheeses! I also have been craving GOOD flavored vegan cheese. I so appreciate the vegan cheese reviews. I do love your herbed tofu feta recipe...spot on for flavor!
Thank you, Leslie! So happy you love my tofu feta recipe and so nice to hear you enjoyed the video! The blog post (linked in the description box) has a blog post with my recommendations for store-bought options :)
Nisha! I have no clue how your videos are even higher quality than they were before because they were so amazing before, but this video is BOMB. Seriously like a Netflix episode.
Will definitely try some of these. I'm not vegan but your videos and your approach in not judging non vegans have inspired me to eat less meat. I even ordered your instantpot cookbook and I'm excited to try some of your recipes. I have made your red lentil curry and naan bread last week and both are to die for!! Thank you again for a non judgmental source.
She is so adorable! And so beautiful! I made her potato salad yesterday. Yum! This morning-since I am fasting- I blended the potato salad and added lots of water and a dollop of vegan mayo for soup! Devine!
This is cool when you made Cashew Cheese that I've never seen and try it before. I wish I would have all the ingredients to make that type of cheese, thank you so much for sharing!
I love that too! If it‘s the nutritional yeast you‘re missing: At least where I live I couldn‘t find it in a regular supermarket, too bad. But I eventually found it at an organic market.
@@Alina_Schmidt I use nutritional yeast in my homemade cheese always. I sprinkle it on tacos, salads, etc. I buy it at Trader Joe’s market (closest store is a 3 hr drive round trip, so I stock up when I go). In a pinch, you can find decent brands of nutritional yeast on Amazon. 👍🏼 R🍀
I'm a professional big rig driver who is currently away from home... soooooo, WHY DID I TORTURE MYSELF BY WATCHING THIS DELICIOUSLY AWESOME VIDEO!!! I especially like the part when the master vegan cheese maker stated about why does he have to give up the tastes and textures that he loves just because he gave up cruelty!!! And BTW, your mom is too precious! All those vegetarian options in San Diego are outstanding! I'm slightly tempted to move back there, but my family and I can't stomach the politics in California. However, I sure wouldn't mind paying a visit to some old shipmates there and enjoy some excellent food as well. Thank you young lady for opening my eyes to more possibilities!
Love the video! I also thought I could never give up cheese but actually stopped craving it - and as you point out, vegan cheese has come a long way! The one that blew my mind the most was a brie made by Dare Vegan Cheese in Asheville NC - I swear it was nearly identical to good dairy brie!
I had issues with it until I realized I needed to eat fat when I craved cheese. Avocados, nuts, nut butters. Still it took like 4 months to stop missing it.
My six year old goes to *town* on some grilled and/or cold chao sandwiches and I love grating mykonos vegan mozzarella for pizza. So Delicious and Daiya have good shreds for salads or burritos/quesadillas, too!
Your videos are sooo good and uplifting! You're definitely "basically a saint" especially to the animals 💚✨💚 Your face when asking Max for stuff made my day 😂
Daiya Mac n Cheese. Cheddar one is great. I add salt, pepper, and pickled jalapeños. Sooo good. I have trouble finding a good cheese to use when I make nachos or pizza. The Daiya works ok for pizza using their shredded mozzarella but it's a let down. I bought some vegan pizza which is the best vegan pizza i have had. I'll update my comment when i get around to looking at the box.
@@MrBKings pretty much anything! Hummus of all kinds, home made vegan ranch (even topped it with Nisha’s seed sprinkle from another video - it’s fab), pizza sauce, straight up garlic if I’m feeling social distancy, pickled onions, lox without the lox, herbed olive oil, slightly melted chao cheese, vegan butter when I want to psyche out my cholesterol sensors, jelly/jam/preserves, and I’ll even use it as the bread for any kind of sandwich.
@@avinashtyagi2 so THAT’S why I can’t stop eating it. 🤔 Sorry you had to give them up! Are there any store bought options without added sugar that you’ve found?
I make cashew cheese with rejuvelac from sprouted whole wheat grains and let it ferment in room temperature for one day. Nutch, Italian seasoning and pepper flakes give it all the flavors I need. Very appetizing.
I really love violifehard parmesan it is amazing when shredded and hard just like the dairy one. I also really love their feta, omg it's so good. Chao original slices are awesome just to reach in and snack on alone. Daiya makes a good cheddar, and follow my heart makes a good feta crumble. I must try your recipes those looked great. Never have been a fan of goat cheese, so don't miss that. But just like you, I gave up all animal products for them but still love the flavors, so am very grateful to have something cruelty free. No animal should die or be tormented for my pleasure, and eating is a great pleasure. So glad to have chefs like you to show the way. I have been without for 20 ish years. Thank you
Thank you for sharing your favorites :) I just tried the feta crumbles from follow your heart recently. I agree, it is wonderful to be able to eat delicious food without having to harm animals! Thank you!
This video, in addition to making me crave a grilled cheese, reminded me that it has been too long since I last made your Buffalo chickpea quesadillas. I know what I’m having for lunch tomorrow!
Love watching you and appreciate how you try vegan cheeses for us. Most soft vegan cheeses Are satisfying but I’m Italian and there is no cheese I’ve had that’s even close to Parmigiano Reg., ricotta or a real good mozzarella. So I’m sad and vegan.
Ooh i wish you lived in San Diego and could try the vegan parmesan and mozzarella Donna Jean uses in their pizza/pasta and sell to take home. Closest and most convincing alternatives I've found!
I’m also part Italian. I’ve discovered a decent tofu ricotta cheese recipe (on RUclips) that allows me to enjoy ricotta cheese flavors & not miss the “traditional” ingredients. 🌱🍀
Dave's Killer Bread Bagels have been my favorite vegan bagels!!! Soooo good, not thin and skimpy like other vegan bagels. I'm personally addicted to the plain bagel they offer, I also put butter on it dry and then toast it. Because it's not a skimpy bagel it still has enough dough to be soft and crunchy.
I've been vegan for 6 years and I thought I'd miss cheese a lot more than I do (which is not at all). Greek yogurt is what I still miss. You can find some great vegan cheeses but nothing that comes close to Greek yogurt.
Yesss it's just all of the fermented/aged dairy products for me. Nothing can replace creme fraiche or yogurt or cheese. I very rarely eat it now but the soy versions just do not come close.
The only vegan yogurt that actually tastes good and closest to regular yogurt is the SO Delicious brand. Not sure if you have tried that, but the texture is more like regular yogurt not thick like greek yogurt but it's still really good none the less if you have the craving
Kite hill has a pretty amazing yogurt . Don’t get their Greek yogurt it’s disgusting lol but their normal yogurt functions as an amazing substitute for Greek yogurt
I've been fermenting my own home grown chillies into hot sauce. Definitely going to try that fermented cheese of yours! But have to admit that as a 2yr vegetarian I still haven't given up cheese even though I'd like to. I haven't touched alcohol in 2yrs also, so cheese is really my one last guilty pleasure!
Try and take small breaks then go back to it. If you want to anyway, this is a judgment free channel! I find that the less I eat it the harder it is on my body when I do. Also it gives me acne and I'm vain haha. Good luck my fellow vegetarian!
Your recipes look great! I had been a dairy-free pescatarian for 3.5 years before I was pregnant. Although I enjoy dairy cheese once in a while I am always down to try good vegan cheese! Your cashew cheese looks similar to what I used to make with miso and homemade saurkraut juice! I will definitely try your version. Thank you for sharing your recipes😍
I came to the US for vacation and tried the Violife and omgggggg. Also, thank you for your thumbs up on the chao cheese, as I bought it to take back home !
This video is sooooo necessary! I have been a vegetarian for over 20 years and the only reason why I haven't become a vegan is because I haven't been able to give up cheese but if I can find the right vegan cheese, I'd become a vegan in the heartbeat. This video makes me think....so much. Thank you once again! 🙏🏾
If it's hard to give up cheese, then leave everything else and just eat cheese. What I mean is become as plant based as you can and only eat things which are hard to leave, and try to leave them too slowly
It sounds like that’s what OP is doing (the main non vegan vegetarian products I can think of are cheese and eggs - I consider fish to be meat because it’s animal flesh lol).
I love this video I've been a vegetarian for almost 2 years and one of the things that's stopping me from going full vegan is cheese. I do try to eat mainly vegan meals but this will for sure help me out some more 🥰🥰🥰 yummy
@@alisiademi eh, who cares. A lot of people say it’s for ethical or religious reasons or whatever but God gave us animals for a reason. Meat and dairy is delicious. Not to mention filled with essential nutrients that are difficult if not impossible to find in vegan foods. I can assure you our ancestors definitely didn’t kill animals humanely either.
Cheese is a huge thing keeping me from going vegan. Thanks for the video! I have been trying to reduce animal products (even if I cant commit to getting rid of them entirely) and this was very helpful!
I was talking to my mom about this yesterday. I didn't like cheese when I was young. The tangy sour flavour tasted weird to me but as I got older I started liking it. Probably because of pizzas and also because I moved to the US and there was cheese in so many things. It's so addicting. It's so good. That's one of the things I had a hard time giving up. The other was chocolate. But for chocolate at least there's dark chocolate. But I don't crave it as much as I used to when I first became vegan.
I used to eat lots of cheeses ... My shopping cart / refrigerator was never void of cheese. Since becoming vegan, I no longer crave animal milk cheese. I was Vegan for several months when I decided to eat a whole foods sample of one of my longtime favorites, Rum Runner, & my body rejected it. Itfelt like acid in my chest. My body learned via the absence of dairy, that dairy was harmful rather than beneficial. I'll never go back ... only forward . . .
Will be making all cheeses soon for me am a vegan too i can find vegan cheeses in Singapore like violife missed your videos on youtube perfect for my after office meals love your recipes making me hungry Thanks Ramya
thanks so much for trying out these vegan cheeses! I live in south texas not near any fancy stores but there is a cute neighborhood organic food stores and am happy to see that they carry violife cheese and I use it when i want breakfast tacos and put in my tofu scramble and it is actually really yummy! I also have tried vegan feta crumbles from follow your heart i believe! I've seen that fields cheese and wondered if it was yummy...hope your tummy didn't hurt from all those cheeses!
Nisha, thank you for contributions to the vegan community! I absolutely love that you tried multiple cheeses, went on a taste adventure and even gave us your own recipes. 😭😭😭❤️
Thank you so very much for sharing your tip on how to melt cheese for cheese sandwiches on the stove. It worked!!!! I didn’t even have to used to microwave.
Heh. "I gave up cruelty, not flavor" is probably the best retort to the whole question of "If you don't eat these things, why do you try to make substitutes of them?" I know some vegans who honestly don't like the taste of animal-based food products, but I know far more who miss the flavors but aren't willing to destroy an animal's life to get them. (I'm not vegan myself, but I do cook for someone who regularly flirts with veganism and your recipes always look fantastic.)
Here in the UK where I live we have amazing vegan cheeses available, they melt, they taste like dairy cheese. There is Greek Feta from Violife which is soo good, Vitalite cheese block tastes like Gouda and melts very well, Applewood smoked vegan Cheddar is really nice as well, there are so many brands making vegan camembert and brie (has never been my jam though, not even the dairy version)..... I've been Vegan since September 2014 and not craving anything animal related, I just eat a whole plantbased balanced diet. How can someone crave animal fat all the time ? I don't get that. I remember 7 years ago the options for vegan cheese were horrible.
Vegan cheese was actually disgusting when I first went vegan. There’s so many options now! So exciting. I personally love Violife, my all time fave. Epic mature is delish.
Violife is the best. While I enjoy Chao, Violife mature cheddar is better. I recently tried their mozzarella shreds on pizza and they get super creamy and melty.
I craved fish when I was vegan; a temptingly placed plate of salmon brought me back to the dark side after two years. I still love eating vegan though, especially with meat as expensive as it is now. I love your channel!
The complete opposite happened to me. I was a huge cheese lover, even planned on trying most cheeses in France. When I went vegan, my cheese craving just. . .poof! I will definitely try these though, they look amazing!
That restaurant looks so good though!!! But Miyoko's pepper jack slices are the BEST for grilled cheese. Melts super nicely, doesn't taste weird or overly fake. Definitely recommend it.
Thank you for sharing I’m vegan and I’m always interested to hve new recipes Amen to all vegan people and let’s get better environment together better world and NO CRUELTY WHATSOEVER🙏😀
I'm also in San Diego. Love Donna Jean too! If you haven't been to Kindred yet, you are in for a treat! The food, drinks, and ambiance are spectacular! As far as bagels go, I like Nomad Donuts bagels, but Ben & Esther's Vegan Jewish Deli has my favorite vegan cream cheeses. Trader Joes has my favorite store bought cream cheese and feta (brine-y and salty). But hands down favorite vegan cheeses come from the farmers markets we have here: Double Batch Vegan Creamery...they sell an aged parmesan, brie, a bunch of other cheeses that are flavorful and melt really well. So tasty!!! Ok now I need to go to the farmers market this morning to re-up :D
Plus cheese isn't even vegetarian. To make it, milk is treated with rennin, an enzyme extracted from the 4th stomach of murdered calves. It curdles milk by converting soluble caseinogen to insoluble casein. But to my huge disappointment, I found this out months AFTER I went completely vegan.
Vinegar mother ferments alcohol. You need bacteria / yeast which ferments protein, sugar or cellulose. Cabbage or sauerkraut juice is a easy source. Or use a bit of bought fermented vegan cheese.
I've been vegan for 3 years and a half, and I still crave egg ngl and that's really hard to replace, and yes, I use black salt already haha I was also vegetarian for like 4 more years before the transition and sometimes I still crave chicken or meat as well, but yeah I wouldnt eat it
The vegan cheese game has been on a rocketship ride these last few years 🚀Yours looks amazing! Donna Jean is one of our FAVORITES in SD 💚💚💚That watermelon salad w. feta looks 🔥Great video!
I'm just gonna live vicariously through you since here in the Balkans we have very few vegan options and I hope we can expect good vegan cheese in the next 5-10 years 🙄😅

@@Wasabisaurus08 thanks so much, this is awesome!
"Do we have any red wine?"
"Do you wanna bring me some?"
It's like you peeked into my house!!
The little happy squint on her face when he brought it!!! 💚
Mine too!
You can tell you put a lot of love and effort into this video! I always enjoy your humor and look forward to your uploads ✨
Aww thank you Allyson! I’m so glad you appreciate the videos (and humor)!
Go online; Miyoko"s creamery. Delivered in cold pack.
Omg thank you for this!
Giving up meat many years ago was honestly pretty easy, but giving up cheese has been so hard!
You are so good! Every time I watch your videos I want to get into my kitchen! Thank you so much!
Nisha! I have no clue how your videos are even higher quality than they were before because they were so amazing before, but this video is BOMB. Seriously like a Netflix episode.
Thanks so much, Laurel! We worked hard on this one and I'm so glad you enjoyed it.
This was so great! I loved the interviews with the vegan chefs 🌻
So glad to hear it. It was so interesting to speak to them and hear how they make vegan cheeses!
Nisha’s cashew cheese recipe is delicious. 👍🏼 I’ve made it several times. 🍀
Ooh thank you for sharing! Will keep that in mind if I ever make at trip there. I've never had vegan brie!
You did an amazing job on your cookbook. I for one appreciate the hard work you put in compiling it all.
Thank you so much! glad you enjoyed it!
I don’t crave it anymore, strangely. I stopped craving it a few months in. I was a massive cheese lover! Didn’t think I could give it up for anything!
Same here!!
Likewise! 🌱 Since being vegan, making my own tofu “cheese” is fun & it tastes better to this former dairy cheese fanatic. 😉R🍀
Same. I loved cheese, but after 2-3 months not eating it my cravings for it stopped and never returned.
@Mary U I like what Nisha said about craving the umami flavors that you can replicate in vegan cheeses. It works. ☺️🍀
I had issues with it until I realized I needed to eat fat when I craved cheese. Avocados, nuts, nut butters. Still it took like 4 months to stop missing it.
Made this. OMG!! sooooo good! Thank you!
Of course good on brea. But delicious on cucumber slices.
My six year old goes to *town* on some grilled and/or cold chao sandwiches and I love grating mykonos vegan mozzarella for pizza. So Delicious and Daiya have good shreds for salads or burritos/quesadillas, too!
Check out her newest insane creation- liquid mozza for pizza!!! Crazy good. Often sold out online.
I admire your determination and trying to use your talent to make positive influence in the world 🌱
I’m having a wine tasting soon so I’m excited to try these out! I normally get vegan cheese from Trader Joe’s they have vegan cheddar and parm! 😊
Ooh such a fun occasion to make these cheeses! Enjoy!
This is an amazing video!!!!!!!! Belongs on food network or travel channel I absolutely love this! You should feel so proud of this one girl!!!
Aww I appreciate that so much, Julia! I am so happy you loved this video.
Your videos are sooo good and uplifting! You're definitely "basically a saint" especially to the animals 💚✨💚 Your face when asking Max for stuff made my day 😂
Aww haha you’re so sweet! Thank you, Diksha!
This made me cry. Thank you so much. To everyone in this video.
I love these cheese recipes!! I would love a video with more homemade hard cheeses, like vegan fresh mozzarella or cheddar! Love your videos
"Dave's Killer Bread" makes the best bagels I've been able to find.
Was coming here to comment this. I keep a stack of Epic Everything on hand at all times.
@@fluidtoast Yum. What’s your favorite spread(s) for those?
@@MrBKings pretty much anything! Hummus of all kinds, home made vegan ranch (even topped it with Nisha’s seed sprinkle from another video - it’s fab), pizza sauce, straight up garlic if I’m feeling social distancy, pickled onions, lox without the lox, herbed olive oil, slightly melted chao cheese, vegan butter when I want to psyche out my cholesterol sensors, jelly/jam/preserves, and I’ll even use it as the bread for any kind of sandwich.
I love Dave's Killer Bread products, but they have added sugar, so I had to stop eating them
@@avinashtyagi2 so THAT’S why I can’t stop eating it.
I've made the vegan nacho cheese a couple times...amazing! Can't wait to try the other two vegan cheese recipes. This channel is awesome!
I love the face she makes when Max brings her the crackers and wine 😂 You are so relatable and funny!
Feeling you 💕 One day soon 🤞
Ooh i wish you lived in San Diego and could try the vegan parmesan and mozzarella Donna Jean uses in their pizza/pasta and sell to take home. Closest and most convincing alternatives I've found!
I’m also part Italian. I’ve discovered a decent tofu ricotta cheese recipe (on RUclips) that allows me to enjoy ricotta cheese flavors & not miss the “traditional” ingredients. 🌱🍀
Prova il Gondino
Dave's Killer Bread Bagels have been my favorite vegan bagels!!! Soooo good, not thin and skimpy like other vegan bagels. I'm personally addicted to the plain bagel they offer, I also put butter on it dry and then toast it. Because it's not a skimpy bagel it still has enough dough to be soft and crunchy.
Dave's food might be good but he's still a killer
I've been vegan for 6 years and I thought I'd miss cheese a lot more than I do (which is not at all). Greek yogurt is what I still miss. You can find some great vegan cheeses but nothing that comes close to Greek yogurt.
Come to South Korea where we have vegan Greek yogurt :)
Have you tried the Alpro greek style?... I find it really nice.
this video was so compelling and well-made! love this and the effort you put into it! i would love to see more videos like this!
Thank you so much!! We learned so much when we made it. Will try to do more like this in the future.
So first, at 0:26... too cute! Thank you so much for the thorough, succinct and inspiring information, as always Nisha.
Good video thanks. It's good to see the variety of textures available in carnivore cheese is being taken and expanded on with vegan cheeses.
Definitely! It's very exciting to see how far vegan cheese options have come!
I love Donna Jeans!! Welcome to San Diego. We have so many great vegan restaurants!
However, I still love cooking your recipes at home!
I’m so thrilled you love cooking my recipes at home! And yes Donna Jean is fabulous!
Cheese has Casein in it which is addictive, that's why it's the hardest thing to give up but once you do you'll never look back!
I love this video I've been a vegetarian for almost 2 years and one of the things that's stopping me from going full vegan is cheese. I do try to eat mainly vegan meals but this will for sure help me out some more 🥰🥰🥰 yummy
Please watch DAIRY IS SCARY on RUclips.
Perfect timing! I was struggling to research this just yesterday.
Cheese is a huge thing keeping me from going vegan. Thanks for the video! I have been trying to reduce animal products (even if I cant commit to getting rid of them entirely) and this was very helpful!
I am OBSESSED with Donna jean , I can't wait to visit them
Dairy milk consists of a thing called casomorphin (yes Morphin). This Opioid makes u hook on cheese and its very difficult to let it go.
The quality of your videos is always glorious. Definitely have to try some of these recipes
Will definitely make those recipes, thank you for the inspiration 👌🤩🤩✨✨
You're most welcome! So happy you enjoy my recipes!
I'll never go back ... only forward . . .
I've been using Violife sliced cheddar flavor cheese slices to make toasted cheese in my George Forman grill. It melts pretty well.
One day I marinated/ fried some Tofu with the leftovers of a classic cashew-cheese-recepie (close to Nisha‘s). I was really proud of myself ;)
I love your supportive parents.
Great video! Yummy!
Thank you for sharing I’m vegan and I’m always interested to hve new recipes
Amen to all vegan people and let’s get better environment together better world and NO CRUELTY WHATSOEVER🙏😀
Ick no! Too many plant based alternatives that are yummy. Just thinking of what goes into making cheese makes me feel sick.
So many great alternatives, indeed! You’ll just have to see what I mean 😉
Why you dissin coagulated pus of tortured defenseless animals? SMH /s
@@voxtur__7 totally true!!
@@voxtur__7 technically you can get rennet sourced from microbes, but I have met few vegetarians who actually cared about where the rennet came from
I too miss cheese the most so highly enjoyed this. Really appreciate your time and efforts
This is an amazing video. We need innovations in vegan cheese and you did a great job. 💜💜💜
Vinegar mother ferments alcohol. You need bacteria / yeast which ferments protein, sugar or cellulose. Cabbage or sauerkraut juice is a easy source. Or use a bit of bought fermented vegan cheese.
I've been vegan for 3 years and a half, and I still crave egg ngl and that's really hard to replace, and yes, I use black salt already haha I was also vegetarian for like 4 more years before the transition and sometimes I still crave chicken or meat as well, but yeah I wouldnt eat it
Candace from the edgy veg made a video on homemade "Just Egg"
Id recommend u to check it out 😊
This was a really good video! Thank you!!
The vegan cheese game has been on a rocketship ride these last few years 🚀Yours looks amazing! Donna Jean is one of our FAVORITES in SD 💚💚💚That watermelon salad w. feta looks 🔥Great video!
So happy you’re a Donna Jean fan too! The vegan cheese game certainly has come a long way, which is amazing!
This is really amazing!! Thank you.
SO fun!! 🍷 🧀 Love this posting so much! 🍇
I'm just gonna live vicariously through you since here in the Balkans we have very few vegan options and I hope we can expect good vegan cheese in the next 5-10 years 🙄😅
