That’s beautiful to hear! Walking those cliffs with your dad must have created some special memories. I'm so glad the video brought those back for you! Thank you for sharing your lovely story! 😊
Lovely to see Auchmithie featured. My family are originally from there, now living in Arbroath. The bench seen at around 12:14 outside the village hall is dedicated to my grandmother who sadly left us last year. I'm glad that more people could enjoy how beautiful of a place it is!
Thank you so much for sharing that touching story. I’m so sorry for your loss, but how wonderful that your grandmother’s memory is honored in such a special place. Auchmithie is truly beautiful, and I’m glad I could share it with others. I’ll definitely think of your family next time I visit. Wishing you all the best!
That sounds amazing! A poem set to music about Auchmithie would definitely capture the essence of the place. I’d love to check it out-thanks for the recommendation!
Oh wow, came across this by accident, but it brings ba k fond memories. I used to work for Professor David Rowley who lived with his wife Ingrid and his children Andrew and Christina a short distance outside Auchtimuthie. David introduced me to Arbroath Smokies which are absolutely delicious and also to the But n Ben who also served delicious food. Such a beautiful part of Scotland 🏴
I’m so glad you found the video and that it brought back such fond memories! Arbroath Smokies are truly a treat, and But'n'Ben is a fantastic spot. It sounds like you have some lovely stories from your time there. Thank you for sharing! What was your favourite memory from that time? 😊
Thanks a lot for your trouble, it helps me feel like in paradise here in Bulgaria, It also reminds me of all those Scotts spread all over the world, they had a good reason indeed.
Thanks so much for posting this. We use to go to Arbroath on holidays. I've not been to Auchmithie since about 2008. I absolutely love it. I always wanted to live there. I was thinking back the other day about it. This has made my day ❤

Haha, let's hope not too many! 😅 The cliffs are definitely steep, but the beauty of the village makes it worth staying on safe ground. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts!
Absolutely! The smokie pancakes are a must-try, and those desserts are simply irresistible! It’s no wonder so many loyal customers keep coming back. Do you have a favorite dish from there? 😊

Glad you enjoyed it. many thanks 😍
There's a poem set to music about auchmithie on a foundry bar band record with Jim Reid singing, would make a good sound track.
