I am so grateful for Dr. Casperson!!! I can't express how incredibly informative her videos are and how much I've learned from the content she's shared. Women's health education is so important and I've become passionate about it. Thank you!
This is super helpful. I don’t have reoccurring UTI’s but just finished antibiotics for an abscess. And I got waxed amongst other things. For vitamin c, I took 3oz of fresh acerola juice and a 16oz bottle of kombucha. The next morning I felt closer to normal. I wish more doctors were this transparent and easy to understand. Thank you 💕💕💕
I have recurrent UTI's and I am NOT dehydrated. I drink constantly all day long. The first sign I usually get of a UTI is a strong odor which evolves into burning soon after on urinating, constant feeling I have to go, and a heavy sensation in the pelvis.
Hi. How did you get it treated / or treat ? My symptoms are burning and more frequent peeing. And pain in the region. It’s New Years weekend so I’m hoping to take vitamin c and cranberry until Monday. And some AZO for pain. Scary to have been infection.
This video is a blessing thank you so much this gives me so much insight as a person who struggles with a verity of women’s issues. I really can’t wait to see my urogyno on the 12th I feel like I’m going to cry of happiness walking in there finally after years of dealing with this.
I suffered from UTIs for 37 years had at least 7 a year. I was on antibiotics all those years. She discussed Methenamine/Hiprex & Vitamin C this changed my life. I researched further. The Methenamine and the high dose of Vitamin C/probiotics made the difference. I had seen countless specialists over the years and they never mentioned this. I asked my most recent urologist about it and she was willing to write it. It's the answer to solve UTIs along with some of the other obvious things. I give the Methenamine/Hiprex the full credit.
I had 10 UTIs in the last 1.5 years, probably caused by chronic constipation. E.coli culture showed a couple of times, and I got BV (also E.coli) and yeast infections when I wasn’t on antibiotics. After developing a very meticulous washing routine after sex, I saw my symptoms change over the course of the year and got less painful. I was able to manage it with D mannose, probiotics, and now I believe I need to lay off the alcohol as well as reduce flour intake to feel even better. The pooping on a consistent basis is a great reminder! I also drink lemon water and urine alkalinizers from Uqora. I avoid antibiotics like the plague, just because the pain isn’t so great anymore.
Very interesting, I'm glad your getting some better. This is the approach I'm trying to take as well. How does alcohol affect this btw? I usually don't drink but I did this week and now have a horrible uti
Calm magnesium is great at helping those with a tendency towards constipation. I like the lemon raspberry flavor. Start with a higher dose in the am (2 teaspoons) with a good amount of water once bowels are working lower dose to just what is needed to keep your stool soft. Best of luck.
What an amazing urologist. And I found simple things to try, because my microbiome wishes me to avoid antibiotics! So, lots of water, vitamin C, perhaps vaginal estrogen, and then I'll see how things go. Thank you so much. Update: my infection eventually got worse and I was becoming alarmed. I eventually asked my doctor if I could try nitrofurantoin, an older antibiotic that works primarily in the bladder, and has minimal effects on the gut microbiome. And it worked!! Such a relief. And my gut seemed unaffected. Apparently it's prescribed less often because you have to take it twice a day for up to a week. But it's well worth it for me
Does estrogen creams really work for that? I’m 15 and I’ve had non stop utis for this entire year. I’m running out of options to stop it from happening again 😭
@@Olivia-bq9rk Hi. I think the estrogen is probably more important for those of us whose bodies no longer produce much. Topical estrogen stops the shrinking of the inner vaginal lips in post-menopausal women, since those lips help protect the urethra from bacteria getting into the bladder. At 15 the causes of your UTIs could be very different. I remember the pain of that and I feel for you!!! One thing that might apply is that I'm working hard to avoid antibiotics as much as I can, particularly Cipro if possible. But I understand trying anything that might work. I hope you find a solution.
@@judithenglish I just did some research and the topical estrogen helps with the health of the urethra tissue, I’ll talk to my doctor about it and go from there. I too am trying to avoid antibiotics. I’ve found that d-mannose helps, I’m going to try uva ursi since it’s been used longer than antibiotics for utis
@@Olivia-bq9rkHi, Olivia. I'm using d-mannose every day. I can't really tell if it's helping, but there doesn't seem to be any downside, so why not. I looked up uva ursi, and it seems interesting. But I'm scared off by possible side effects to the liver. So I'm sticking to the d-mannose and making sure I drink 1.5 litres of water every day. I'm also taking 1000mg of vitamin C every day So far this seems to be working. I did manage to avoid antibiotics, but it took about 2 months for the symptoms to go away, and I still don't know if it was smart not to take them
I have crohns disease and do not like to take antibiotics. I watched this video for some tips on how to deal with reoccurring uti's. I started using the D-mannos powder form. 1 tsp (2000mg) 2 times per day. It took care of my bladder infection in 2 days. Relief 8 hours after the first dose. If you have to you may use it as a maintenance dose as well. I also drank lots of water to flush out the bacteria. It is definitely worth a try.
My mothers uti was cured by evanol cream which is s female hormonal cream. She had taken oral antibiotics and well as antibiotic injection courses but the infection would return after a week or two. Ultimately the infection was cured by just a few applications of this cream.
I like the way this Doctor minimizes the problem of recurrent UTIs and jokes about sending them out for useless procedures. She is indicative of the problem that women are having with uncaring care givers.
At least she’s honest… NOT TO MENTION she is providing information that can make sense if you are desperate enough to actually listen. Yeah she is talking to Dr’s but I don’t think it takes a genius IQ to glean self help information from this lecture. Like she said there is no way to completely eliminate UTIs from life but you can learn enough to manage them.
Excellent presentation for a 64 year old female retired nurse with chronic infections every 3 weeks (basically as the bacteria build up from antibiotics). I do all of the proactive strategies but I have a triple pelvic floor prolaps with urethral opening stretched wide and internal tissue exposed. I weigh 112lbs and always do jegal exercises. I get about 3 hours relief from sodium citrate but you can only use it for 2 days at a time. WHAT if anything can I do until covid allows for prolapse surgery? I would love for you to have made it more informative on the menopausal woman. Perhaps a second video? I use estrodial pil l in the vagina twice a week. No use. 😰 The vulval pain and bladder ache is miserable. The freezing and sweating is miserable. The relief after a 7 day course of antibiotics is sooooo lovely. Thanks
so sorry to hear. A menopause video is a great idea. thanks! I hope you have access to a good pelvic floor PT and urologist to evaluate your concerns. We can't give medical advice this way but can encourage you to see someone who can advise you. Best of luck!
Omg. 13yrs in. But I cant shake this uti for 2months. On 4th round antibiotics. Getting estro cream. Probably need it since hysterectomy. Sweats and chills are every 30 min. Especially when bladder full. Back pain. Burning. What works for you
If you have not had your surgery yet, you can always be fitted with a pessary. A pessary is a small medical grade silicon device that is inserted into the vagina to support the prolapse. It's a nice interim option while you wait for surgery. Also the "vaginal pill" you speak of is useless. You are quite right. It was a low dose tab to begin with and the company went lower dosing knowing full well it wouldn't treat moderate atrophy. Basically it was a company move to profit more from women. I would ask your doctor for Premarin Cream or Estragyn Cream.
@@stephy6199Hi it's been 10 months since you posted this and I curious how you are doing? Does the estrogen cream work for you? I suffer with extreme hit flash and then freezing cold but my doc says to go without HRT if I can because of the risk of heart disease. I also heard that sugar consumption causes hot flashes too.
I want to be empowered with knowledge! I love when doctors give me knowledge! I have reoccurring UTIs and I enjoyed this video. I don't want to take antibiotics because I work so hard on having a healthy gut! My questions are: 1. Is the bladder supposed to be an acidic organ or alkaline? 2. Is having UTI issues during ovulation give me a clue that my estrogen levels are bouncing too high? So do I see an urologist or my gyno? 3. How often is medication the issue to occurring UTIs? (I have RRMS and take Vumerity). 4. Is low bile function possibly linked as well? And I ask because you did talk about poop a bit. Low bile can cause a fattier, greasy stool.
I found that due to having interstitial inflammation of the bladder and many UTI issues that started during perimenopause taking potassium citrate powder 1/2 teaspoon per day in good amount of water which alkalizes the urine far more beneficial than cranberry juice that acidifies it. I have also found that using estrogen cream on the vulva has truly helped my skin heal where a lot of the infection started in the first place. I hope this may help you.
Have used Mandelamine for over 60 years except when the company stopped making it, then switched to Methinamine Hipp. No negative results except for me forgetting to take it.
About time it makes sense. I’m 62 years old and have a UTI for 2 months already, they gave me antibiotics, and they don’t work, I made an appointment with my doctor again to let him know is has not gone away. I’m tired of the itching and burning, can’t have sex cause it hurts so much, I wish this Doctor could be my doctor! Please advice me on what to do

I really love this video. I have had a problem with UtI since childhood. My first was at 10 and I wasn’t even having sex. It got way worst after I started to have sex and by the way I’m very clean. I always pee and completely clean myself front to back before sex and even after just pooping. Now I’m 35. I’ve had kidney cancer at 27. It was removed by partial nephrectomy in NyC. I stopped getting frequent UTI after. My UtI issue is now back at 35 after years of it not being an issue. I’m worried it might be cancer again since I have blood in my urine.
Great lecture. I came here for my annoying uti that won’t go away even with antibiotics. I’m pre menaupausal and some of the points you’ve made are resonating. Thanks for the great info. Btw, I wish I had you as a teacher 👩🏫😆

This has to be why I have CONSTANT UTI!!! I have aggressive MS and only poop every 8-11 days. 😞😭 I’ll be coming back to this video after I drop my daughter off to school to finish the rest.
I'm male and I've had two UTIs in six months. The first was pretty obvious why I got it as I had just had a catheter after ESWL with stent placement. The second I have no idea how it happened, but UA came back positive for UTI and negative for STDs.
I was given antibiotics and just leukocytes were found in urine test but they are working so it must be a UTI. I’ve struggled the last year with pain burning pressure and frequency after a severe UTI. It’s hell

Macrobid does NOTHING to me. Literally nothing. I'm not resistant because they tested for it it just doesn't work for me 😩 I'm glad I'm not alone I thought I was crazy because doctors would say macrobid is the preferred antibiotic, it's the first line of defense. Not for me though
Really great video, explains so much. Dr’s never check the area, just ask for a urine sample. Now I’ve got the mirror out pretty sure what’s causing my urethritis. I’ve already got estriol cream but never told to use it there. Fingers crossed 🤞 it resolved this recurring irritation. Already feels a bit easier.
Being post menopausal, vaginal estrogen therapy plus PACs cured my 46 recurrent UTIs as soon as I started it. And everyone I read about on UTI Facebook pages have the same experience with PACs. My urogynecologist recommended PACs. Now I am 3 1/2 years UTI free.
@@roxannacheng4309 PACs are the skin, pulp and seeds of cranberry. Proanthocyanadins. They prevent bacteria from adhering to the bladder wall. You have to start them either while on antibiotics or when once doesn't have a UTI. They PREVENT...not cure.
I've been having recurrent uti every year since school because i used to retain urine back then. It's so freaking hard. And i wish it would just go away!! I'm not unhygienic, i drink around 2.5 liters a day and im also having cranberry pills everyday at night. Last time i had uti was in may (most of the antibiotics were resistant, I was scared to death) and now it's September. I think I have one right now. Will go get some tests to check it out. Please give me some advice if you have been going through the same thing. (im 24 and not sexually active btw) I used to get many symptoms before but now i get odour and pain in my vagina at the end of peeing (hurts so bad).
@@mel__london I had recurrent UTIs for six months after a kidney infection. The antibiotics didn't work like they did 20 years previous. So asked the dr. for some estrogen creme to make the tissues in that area stronger to resist any infection.
Is there a difference between “recurrent” UTI and simply an under treated UTI? I’ve been given 3 days of antibiotic with no follow up culture, but I am old enough to remember when the doctor always had you come back and the dose was for 7 days. What about embedded or continuous UTI? Should some people be on antibiotics for a year or more?
@@icanbreathe9161 garlic is a antibiotic and antifungal. When I was a broke college student and couldn't afford monistat for almost $30 I woul get a clove of garlic wrap it in a gauze and leave a string like a tampon and put it inside my vagina. It worked but I won't recommend it for everyone I was just desperate. If you're going to eat i it has to be raw garlic cooking it takes away the healing properties.
I'm glad you're informed about embedded UTIs. I don't t think this doc is, sadly. It's very clear now that 3 days of abx will NOT cure a UTI. Docs giving abx for too short of courses is one of the things that's causing antibiotic resistance.
We need a vaccine to put an end to this horrible condition,I have uti for the past 40 years a d there is nothing I don't know to try an prevent it so for people like me please will the medicial researchers please take this condition very seriously and work on finding a vaccine
A vaccine that takes up to ten years to get approved! And with what side effects that you don’t know about?! Change your remove sugar from your diet get exercise and drink a lot of water!
Amazing info TFS it. I looked to see if there was a video about chronic pelvic pain, couldn’t see it. Can some one point me to that video if you know of it please. I have chronic pain from several conditons not normally pelvic related, so would there be a higher propensity for this condition in someone who has other chronic pain. At the moment I understand these are path lab tested UTI but I have other pain at other times that may not be.
I just found this, First off Merry Christmas, But let me say, this, I have been going to Dr after Dr, then to urologist here in Anniston, Al, (2 of them) and I kept telling them over and over again my problems, had 3 scopes sent me for 3 CTS within 2 years, I mean yes I usually have 3/5 UTIs a year ( PCR Urine Culture) I have been put on SO MANY ABX in the past 3 years, FINALLY started going to UAB GYNOUROLIST, finally put on Estrogen Cream and Tablet as well, but they still put me on an ABX before getting culture back and even if it's neg they tell me to finish it. My last Culture came back with Entercocussus F. And it was only sensitive to 2 ABX ( Macrobid and Cipro and Vanco IV) Macrobid worked. BUT my thing is and I KEEP expressing concern of not not putting me on AB if I truly do not need it. I ALWAYS feel like I have a UTI, BC I Pee so much, sometimes burn, and I'm , on Macrobid now although my culture came back neg this week and was told to finish it anyway, I was on cefidinr 2,5 wks ago for sinus infection, I'm so scared Abt all these abx. I'm 50 years old, was told by Blood work I'm Post Menopausal, and have Crohns as well. All I know is I listened to you and let me tell you I'm gonna take your advise and I'm actually gonna ask my Dr to listen to this video. I feel like they get so tired of me, bc I feel like I have a UTI so much. Like it's so much stress and I cry so much bc I get no help. Just listening to you made me feel like there is still hope for me. Ty so very much. I wished you was here to be my Dr, bc I would absolutely be ur patient and I would follow ur orders with no hesitation. I'm just setting here wondering if I need to finish this Macrobid.,,And they also tell me to take Macrobid 100 mg for a prevention. They said they may change me to CIPRO for a prevention. But I have been. On it alot as well. Idk anymore, I'm gonna ask my Dr to listen to you, I'm pretty sure she will give me the evil eye. Lol..... I'm thankful I understood this video and the medical terms .

I’ve had problem for 15 years, sometimes 3 per month, I tried so many things and cannot find a permanent solution even with prophylactic antibiotics... I don’t have any other health problems but this. 99% associated with sex, then taking antibiotics cause other infections

I also have chronic uti and I am antibiotic resistant because of it. I’m researching natural antibiotics I found oregano oil capsules. Bacteria doesn’t become resistant to it. Do your own research as to dosage and dangers of using too much.
dear doctor-- you have very poor training.... You guys prescribe medications only based on a positive urinalysis, a test that is 50 years old and wrong half the time. Secondly you assume that we are getting recurrent utis, when most patients have the very same EMBEDDED CHRONIC uti, because u do not prescribe antibiotics for long enough time...Dogs and cats get a minimum of 14 days of abx, yet humans are typically given 3-7 days. Did you know tht tens of thousands of women are either flying to the UK to see an office that deals with embedded chronic uti's and treats with high dose---long term antibiotics...UNTIL patients are positively bacteria free. Plus asymptomatic patients would never be in your office to begin with... why are you even speaking to it. You are assuming that doctors are throwing antibiotics at patients, when it is the total opposite - u are UNDER PRESCRIBING and thus causing resistance.. I urge u to restructure the way u r treating UTI's...You are saying the same old, same old, meanwhile you know what they say, - 'keep doing the same thing, and expecting a different outcome...not going to happen'. You are right about one thing, just as you have been taught wrongly about the urine not being sterile, you are beung taught INCORRECTLY how to treat a UTI and how to diagnose one to begin with......Check out Dr. James Malone Lee...and google Embedded Chronic UTI...Game changer...
@@718aviva OMG, thank you for posting this comment 🙏🏾 I’ve been doing crazy amounts of research to find out what is going on with me. I’m asymptomatic, but I know for a fact the uti is still there. It has to be an embedded chronic uti 😩 I’ve tried EVERYTHING. Currently taking vitamin C through iv therapy. I will see how that works and continue doing my research!
Amazing advice! I suddenly started getting them after taking too many antibiotics. I had never had them. I started dmannose 4grams per day, cranberry tablets, probiotics, vit c, and other supplements. I am praying I can get a handle on this. 🙏

I've had uti's every 3 months this past year alone and I am just not going to have sex ever again. I know I need to drink more water for sure but dang this sucks. I m so afraid of being resistant to antibiotics at this point
miss sabina ...I have to watch this vid later for my elderly mom (w complicated uti currently and she won’t do anything her dr don’t tell her to do anyway) but doing some research found out about d - mannose ( use Kal brand first and be aware about possible diarrhea side effect only take one to start) -or try 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar in 16 oz water. The amount of water is important to flush out the bacteria for many women even tho it may be painful at first as many vids say and the ACV changes your urine ph to ease that burn if it’s been compromised. Do some research on these things maybe, Idk if she says any of this...( side fact that antibiotics are known to mess w your healthy urine ph)
uhm...I'm no doctor, so don't take my word for it and ask your doctor, but I don't think YOU are be coming resistant by taking antibiotics a lot. The problem with you is more your overall health because yoi continously wipe out all your good bacteria in your gut. The problem with antibiotic resistance is that the BACTERIA gets resistant, not you. If bacteria mutates to be resistant to antibiotics, that is a problem in our world because we then don't have a way to treat it anymore. make sense? so if you treat a stem of bacteria with antibiotics over and over again it can become resistant..
@@jackylynllaguno7746 I take Sweet Cures D-Mannose, it’s available in the UK - not sure about world wide but I’d check online! 10 years ago when I started seeing my then boyfriend I got regular UTI’s because of sex. It was so tough to deal with. What I learned was prevention is better than cure. If you can find a routine and diet than can help prevent UTI’s you can avoid antibiotics. For me going to pee after sex is vital. An I also wash myself down with water to flush away any bugs. I try to take D mannose before an after. I sometimes take it throughout the day too as precaution. Less caffeine, sugar and alcohol if you have had a recent infection. Vitamin C an probiotics daily. I’ve gotten my second UTI this year, again related to sex. I have to restart the program I made for myself 10 years ago. Hopefully il be back with good results in no time.

Awesome! Now I know what to talk to my Dr. about. This is great information! I've had bladder surgery with a sling and had problems ever since. Also going to try estrogen cream. I learned so much!
@@judithcimino1772 I had surgery in 2008 to have my bladder put in a sling. I also have recurrent UTIs and interstitial cystitis. Recently my bladder feels like it's all the way back down again and I'm terrified of having to go have surgery again to have it put back up! Did you feel like your bladder was pushing way down when you were walking or even standing? Is that why you had to have 3 surgeries? I'm just wondering if I can deal with all this pressure pulling down on me the rest of my life or if I have to go have it pulled back up.
DaisyBlue, I did not feel like my bladder was pushed down. I had 3 sling surgeries because I had one GYN that didn't know what in the heck she was doing and that caused a cycle of needing 2 more surgeries. Basically, I view my history of repetitive surgeries as bad doctoring and I still have problems in spite of 3 sling surgeries. The reason why I continued to have UTI" S was due to the wrong antibiotic the doctors put me on. Every month or less I wound back in urgent care and they kept prescribing me Keflex. Finally, the last time I had a UTI I ask the NP at urgent care to please do not put m on Keflex. I want to try Cipro since I have taken the Keflex several times and I still have this infection. Keflex is not killing it! The NP did what I asked and put me on Cipro and it worked. I haven't had a UTI since! now I use my vaginal cream once or twice a week and I am good. Also, my primary told me that if I continue to have UTI she can put me on a low dose of antibiotic every month which takes care of problems too. But at this point, I am doing fine! Good Luck Daisy!

Please help me 😭 why is this happening? It's been going on for 6 months on and off. Can this kill me? Get in my blood or effect my nerves? Please help!! I been on hepix for 3 days
Thanks so much brilliant video. I have a question I understand what urgency, frequency and burning is but when you have a genuine infection (pathology lab tested)what do you call the feeling you get towards the end of your wee that makes it seem like the bladder is trying to push out some thing more out. At times I have given in to the sensation and actually allowed my body to strain and I noticed what looks like fresh blood in the urine after. I try not to do it but its like your body takes over pushing a child out it seems like it’s necessary. It feels so much like a punch in the bladder or something twanging on your urethras… It literally makes me groan out loud at the end of each wee, for me it’s the worst symptom of UTIs. It takes so long to explain that symptom over and over and know there must be an easier way to say it. Or just say if that feeling isn’t normal for UTIs, just like burning isn’t something that happens to me with UTis.
So I got a uti or I guess what I thought was one (I truly don’t know anymore) I got antibiotics and it didn’t help at all. I took cranberry tablets and it helped for 3 days and then it came back again. I hate it. It’s so annoying and uncomfortable
After 2 miscarriages I have a reoccurring UTI ,2 rounds of keflex and now Cipro (allergic to bactrum and macrobid) but still have mild symptoms. My progesterone is low and I'm wondering if there is a link between hormone imbalance and UTI. I already eat healthy. I am now am trying d-mannose and probiotics daily. Fingers crossed.
I m a man. Today I peed brown. I went to the hospital, they found a bit of blood in my urine (no wonder). We did a blood test. The doc said the blood test didn't reveal anything and suspects UTI. I don't feel any pain when urinating... , I don't feel the urgency to urinate. Haven't touched a woman in years. I have some discomfort in my stomach, but maybe that's not related... Can I have UTI without any pain? He prescribed antibiotics, but we don't even know what's my problem, so for now I'm not taking them. He also prescribed a visit to the urologist, but it will take long time before I can do that.
what if my blood test will shows high ostrogen? should i replace with progesteron cream instead? i dont know what to use because i have insuline resistance and hormonal problams, but i also has UTI issues for 1,5 year 😢

But that streptococcus results wow me...like...how did it get there? Your video is very informative, thank you so much!!!
Throwing my own thoughts in, here. I STAY hydrated. Period. My thought is that instead of looking to answers from the medical world, it would be so much better on our health if we look for natural remedies. Example, see what Dr. Eric Berg has to say on the subject. He is correct about 95% of the time. 1-10-2024.
I am so grateful for Dr. Casperson!!! I can't express how incredibly informative her videos are and how much I've learned from the content she's shared. Women's health education is so important and I've become passionate about it. Thank you!
As someone who is finally trying to figure out why I have recurrent UTIs - I feel empowered by your presentation! Thank you so much.
I'm just seeing it, and I'm actually gonna ask my Dr to watch it. Bc I'm so sick of every single month feeling like I have a UTI.
I like her, she’s so positive, funny and yet very knowledgeable on the matter, she talks with authority that doesn’t frighten. She’s simply amazing!
Totally agree!
Thank you 💕💕💕
Thanks for sharing that, food for thought…
Wish all docs were like this one! Self empowerment is rarely taught in a doctors office.
TRUE…
I have recurrent UTI's and I am NOT dehydrated. I drink constantly all day long. The first sign I usually get of a UTI is a strong odor which evolves into burning soon after on urinating, constant feeling I have to go, and a heavy sensation in the pelvis.
Did you manage them?
I know how ya feel 😢

Is HipreX the brand name of Methenamine? As far as I know, it is sold mainly in Australia?
Good to hear…. TY
Where can I purchase calm magnesium uquora, and DMannose?
@@robingarcia5493try vitacost or Iherb. There are lotsa places that carry this stuff.
I did manage to avoid antibiotics, but it took about 2 months for the symptoms to go away, and I still don't know if it was smart not to take them
D mannose helped me so much
I have crohns disease and do not like to take antibiotics.

I like the way this Doctor minimizes the problem of recurrent UTIs and jokes about sending them out for useless procedures. She is indicative of the problem that women are having with uncaring care givers.
My thoughts exactly
So refreshing right?
At least she’s honest… NOT TO MENTION she is providing information that can make sense if you are desperate enough to actually listen. Yeah she is talking to Dr’s but I don’t think it takes a genius IQ to glean self help information from this lecture. Like she said there is no way to completely eliminate UTIs from life but you can learn enough to manage them.
I’m so sick of having UTIs like every month. After back surgery I have to self cath and that makes me more prone to them.

Thanks

Omg.

I’m worried it might be cancer again since I have blood in my urine.

dear doctor-- you have very poor training.... James Malone Lee...and google Embedded Chronic UTI...Game changer...
there is NO such thing as IC-- unless you mean inflammation, or OAB,,,, again most likely an UNDERTREATED UTI...
@@lily942 how do you know you have chronic UTI if you're asymptomatic?
@@fanifanifunny7925 Because of the inflammation on my urethra. No problems other than that
Oh thank u for this info I did not know…….
Amazing advice!
I suddenly started getting them after taking too many antibiotics.
I had never had them.
I started dmannose 4grams per day, cranberry tablets, probiotics, vit c, and other supplements.
I am praying I can get a handle on this. 🙏
Dmannos, is the only thing I havnt tried.
I want ti dr. Again. I request exam. But again nope. I've been fighting a uti or some thing. On & off for 3 yrs. Time to switch to different Dr.
@michelle Mv has anything helped ?
I second the D-mannose advice! It’s literally saved my life and sanity
@@Lightstar99 hello what brand of d mannose u take and is it for evryday?? thanks
@@jackylynllaguno7746 I take Sweet Cures D-Mannose, it’s available in the UK - not sure about world wide but I’d check online! And yes you can take it daily (I take 1 at bedtimes for maintainace if I need to and 2 sometimes. I’d strongly suggest to not take more than 3 at a time otherwise your stomach will be making some funky noises!) hope that helps!
I discovered that taking zinc 2 or 3 times a week stopped my chronic uti.
What was the dose of zinc you took?
1 Nature’s Bounty Zinc 50 mg every 3 to 4 days.

What about pseudomonas bacteria in bladder? I have been plagued with UTIs and diagnosed with interstitial cystitis ! No relief to date! Any suggestions ? Believe me after three years have tried everything‼️😪
I am that person that mope about UTI. WHY GOD, I AM A GOOD PERSON.
Not sure being a good person equates in any way with this. It’s kinda scientific, not divinely sent.
I understand about losing hope! This video gave me new info and new hope!
Im a male who got uti that lasted on and off 1 month. I was taking biologic humira for mild psoriasis. It wasn't worth the side effect. I quit humira and will probably as a male, never have another uti
I took biologics 7 years and dealt with UTI's for a very long time, but it was worth dealing with side effects because i have like 10 years since i got my disease in remission.
What drug did she recommend at 17:27? Sentinal?
Pure cranberry juice(not the cocktail drink) has been EXTREMELY beneficial for me.
Which kind of juice ? Where do we buy it from ?
D mannose works a lot better if it is E coli.

Awesome! Now I know what to talk to my Dr. about. This is great information! I've had bladder surgery with a sling and had problems ever since. Also going to try estrogen cream. I learned so much!
I can relate to your problem about having aling surgery and having nothing but problems since! I have had 3 sling surgeries. I am so regretful!
@@moosemtnprem thank you! So glad you found the right antibiotic to knock out your UTIs! Hope you find a wonderful doctor that can fix the sling problems!

Hello 👋 do you recommend any Crems of any Brend over the counter 🤔 Plessis thank you 😊🙏👍👍
Brilliant! Thanks so much, hope this information helps 👌
Thank you so much for this video! It's hard to get education on this stuff in Canada.
Can someone tell me what she says ‘ C vitamin together with methamine?’ Is it correct?
So I got a uti or I guess what I thought was one (I truly don’t know anymore) I got antibiotics and it didn’t help at all. I took cranberry tablets and it helped for 3 days and then it came back again. I hate it. It’s so annoying and uncomfortable

I'm the problem patient lol. I usually get a zpak or macrobid because I'm allergic to everything else. But I've been taking dmannose when I get symptoms and it usually helps flush it out within 3 to 5 a days unless it is a severe case.
