They never release their best songs as singles. It's a tradition by them. Some of their good songs are only B-sides, it's also a typical PSB phenomenon.
@@tamasjuhaszi2808 That's really interesting. I haven't listened to too much PSB and I don't like a lot of their well-known singles, so I was curious which songs you think are their best? If they're not singles I might not know them yet. Give me your list of favorites :)
Not many comments!! A wonderful song. The Johnny Marr guitar through to the anthemic chorus. I truly love this song. The verses are so deliberate, such perfect lyrics and rhymes. The chorus, the pulsing bass. It's so perfect. I love this song, it's such a celebration.
I just had a WOW!! moment at the chorus. 😊My father used to show me Pet Shop Boys when I was 5. Now I'm 19, discovered this song by chance and have a nostalgia rush❤❤ holy cow I haven't heard this beautiful song IN 14 YEARS OMG I'm so happy I found it again😭
Is this a riot or are you just pleased to see me? Why aren't we holding hands and talking sweets? I love you really, though I know no-one believes me There's chaos every time we meet Oh no, look what you've gone and done You're creating pandemonium That song you sing means everything To me, I'm living in ecstasy The stars and the sun dance to your drum And now it's pandemonium! You're crashing everywhere, it's like you're smashing china Skidding on an icy road You're major trouble since you were almost a minor I sometimes think we'll both explode Oh no, look what you've gone and done You're creating pandemonium That song you sing means everything To me, I'm living in ecstasy My world's gone mad, what did you do? Telling perfect strangers that I love you The stars and the sun dance to your drum And now it's pandemonium! I can't make sense of anything All I know is the party's in full swing If we both just stopped for a minute I declare war and then you'd win it To tell you the truth, I thought I was shockproof Until I saw what you get up to When you think about it, it's quite an achievement That after all I still love you Oh no, look what you've gone and done You're creating pandemonium That song you sing means everything To me, I'm living in ecstasy My world's gone mad, what did you do? Telling perfect strangers that I love you The stars and the sun dance to your drum And now it's pandemonium!
When I first heard this song, I thought it was written for Doctor Who, and was sung to the Master From the Doctor. The release date is close to the episode "The End of Time" which featured the Master, but the sense of the song is more appropriate for "Last of the Time Lords", in which the Master dies in the arms of the Doctor. my reasoning: First off, the intro chords to the songs are very reminiscent to the actual Doctor Who theme. Second, It always is "chaos every time we meet" the Master Third, the Doctor and Master are rumoured to be brothers (this was set up in the 70s before Roger Delgado died, but never made it to the screen) and so the Doctor does love him dearly, though no one understands why. Fourth, the Master is haunted by "the sound of drums" and the line in the song is "The stars and the sun, dance to your drum" which is close enough for me. Fifth, "I sometimes think we'll both explode" sounds a lot like Regeneration to me, if you remember what it looks like in Nu Who. Sixth, let's face it, it really is pandemonium whenever the Master appears.
It still boggles my mind that this was never released as a single. This was my favorite track from Yes.
If you read the booklet contained in Yes/Further Listening, Neil agrees with you :)

That song you sing means everything, to me, I'm living in ecstacy
i love the fact that tonight int the live stream Neil said this was done specifically for Kylie Minogue but they ended up keeping it for themselves

Sweet, pure pop bliss! One of the very top tracks off the album, easily! ✌️
Красивый голос 👍💋💋

ooo oo hoooooo hoooooo! Best song PSB have done. This need more remixes. DO IT!!
Every time I look for PSB videos, You tube sugests me to watch something related to 1982 UK- Argentina war over Falklands. This remain as a mystery.
крутые пацаны,супер.
Пет Шоп Бойз - лучший поп-дуэт всех времён!
Solid! 😃🎶🎵👍
What an ingeniously subtext! /about society? Okay .... let this song be about a girl ..... pandemonium in the brain. Awesome!
To the BBC, please consider 0:09 - 0:17 for the introduction of a new series of Doctor Who once Jodie finally leaves
Her regeneration can't come quick enough
@millieoshie I concur, it would make cool more up beat version
Show! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Headcanon that this is about the same guy who’s in “Will o’ the Wisp” but takes place decades earlier or days later
Pandemonium in over the world good bye from chile 2020
