I was born 1999 so never really saw him physically play but I had my family who did and after I grew up with them always telling and making me watch his games i always keep seeing his videos no matter what he always will make me be in aw of his gameplay. And that is to me what makes him the GOAT
Jordan was the GOAT just based on the eye test alone. I don't know how anyone can watch his countless highlights and not say he was the best. The way I see it, sometimes God uniquely designed certain humans to stand as THE emblem or the quintessence of their art-medium / sport / discipline: clear examples would be Bach, Nadia, Newton, Leonard Euler, Michael Jackson, et al. This montage should be put in the basketball hall of fame and played endlessly on a loop. I grew up at the perfect time to watch the real, undisputed GOAT. The beginning of cable TV, live worldwide sports, and the beginning of superstations, like WGN, that played all the Bulls' home games. I loved, cherished, and appreciated every single moment. Watching His Airness makes it difficult to watch today's sissified games with players that wouldn't die for The Game, like MJ. He was a different type of human.

Nobody in history has ever been able to do the things MJ has done. Look at the way he palms the ball, adjusts his shot mid air, maneuvers through traffic. It has never been matched!

He knew how to get the best out of his teammates and when to precisely attack his opponents during games. His style of play was so graceful and majestic to the point as if he was a ballerina on the court cause he displayed such beautiful footwork and knew how to put on a performance while captivating the audience. Yup. Somebody did an analysis of how he was able to do this. He releases the ball AFTER the apex of his jump rather than at the apex as most normal humans do. You have to have incredible strength in your legs to be able to do this. And MJ did it all the time, even on his signature fade-away shot.
Yep, and the only player I have seen that could perfectly release his shot on the way back down from the hangtime, and also completely change his shot in mid air, others try to do it, and some can some of the time, but not on the same level as MJ and as consistently.

The way I see it, sometimes God uniquely designed certain humans to stand as THE emblem or the quintessence of their art-medium / sport / discipline: clear examples would be Bach, Nadia, Newton, Leonard Euler, Michael Jackson, et al.

I grew up at the perfect time to watch the real, undisputed GOAT. The beginning of cable TV, live worldwide sports, and the beginning of superstations, like WGN, that played all the Bulls' home games.
I loved, cherished, and appreciated every single moment.

To simply put if you watch all the free throw line dunks, almost none really dribble the ball and take off. they were running with the ball (travelling). the grip Jordan has with his palms are second to none. His control and awareness in the air with the ball is also an art that no one came close. they might be stronger ,faster, higher...but none has the do it all package.
The invincibility, the artistry, the improbability..........how can you watch MJ and not think he's the GOAT? The clip at 7:04 was a perfect depiction of how smooth MJ's game was. The man was a true artist, a contortionist, an assassin, the ultimate competitor and was extremely tactical. He knew how to get the best out of his teammates and when to precisely attack his opponents during games. His style of play was so graceful and majestic to the point as if he was a ballerina on the court cause he displayed such beautiful footwork and knew how to put on a performance while captivating the audience. Michael Jordan was the definition of Poetry In Motion during his time.

Yup. Somebody did an analysis of how he was able to do this. He releases the ball AFTER the apex of his jump rather than at the apex as most normal humans do. You have to have incredible strength in your legs to be able to do this. And MJ did it all the time, even on his signature fade-away shot.
His anatomy and spring in his younger years is insane brought back good memories of seeing some of it live
Yep, and the only player I have seen that could perfectly release his shot on the way back down from the hangtime, and also completely change his shot in mid air, others try to do it, and some can some of the time, but not on the same level as MJ and as consistently.

Mat Murk - it's those huge hands. He could lay the ball up from 5 feet out simply because he's gripping it like a tennis ball. Kyrie has some impressive layups but it's not on the same level.

It's different styles, Kyrie obviously doesn't have the enormous hands and Michael Jordan had this luxury. Kyrie would be more efficient as a finisher but since MJ has a better body, his lay ups seem cooler

I've watched a lot of videos on "His Airness", over the years! I was fortunate to be alive and kicking before he graduated High school. Grew up watching basketball, and playing that game fervently. This is the GREATEST short film on Michael Jeffery Jordan that I've EVER seen. If only it could be digitally enhanced! Also, some of the contact that guy took going to the hole would be classified as "assault" in today's pansified society, let alone that soft assed league dubbed the NBA (Never Basketball Again)..
