When Michael Jordan drove to the basket nobody knew what he was going to do, even him, and he would change his mind three times in mid air! The guy was a cold blooded assassin.

@kush Lungs exactly correct. But I would never support this guy's shoes or anything he does these days. He has stock/investments in private prisons. While arguably the rest of the accolades from that season can be team supported, yea right, Lol. Jordan stands alone as the only player amongst the greatest in basketball history to win the scoring title and the defensive player title in the same year. GOAT really there was never any comparison, Jordan lead his team to two 3-peats and was always the best player on the court. And while some people are one demensional players, Jordan relentlessly looked to play against the best opposing player, every game. Jordan was and continues to be the highest measure of Greatness, that in itself, sadly, may never be seen again.

I never heard MJ call himself the GOAT. He just is and the one that's going to be better isn't playing basketball yet. Forget what we're seeing today. MJ was a lethal athletic assassin in any given game. He redefined the NBA.
He created his shots, no wasted dribbles and movements, contorted his body mid air, and made it look so easy to dunk against the whole team. Not to mention his steals, blocks, and passes. That's MJ. THE G.O.A.T.

MJ could've easily done the same when they switch rotation but nonetheless Pippen couldn't do what MJ did and that was to become the greatest scorer of that era and also win the defensive player of the year at the same time. I cant believe i got to grow up watching him play... It kinda chokes me up to watch, its so very special. Thanks man, thanks for letting me get lost in memories, i am smiling ear to ear :)
no player to this day looked this fluid, almost felt like watching a ballet with MJ. Ppl have no idea how mind blowing this was when you watched on a TV broadcast. It was like waiting for a magic trick that always delivered.
One of my favorite things about Mike's game was that he didn't have to beat his own chest, or do a pregame dance, or stare down the crowd like he's about to fight em (kinda like a teenager).... He just kicked everybody's ass, and kept going....maybe shrugged. GOAT.
Lmao you guys do know he's a hell of a trashtalker, right? He also teased a lot of players ingame, like when he dunked over mutombo and he did the signature finger wag
@@CallmeDaddy21 Of course. And that's a lot different than a massive physical display of dominance, like a stupid dance or beating one's chest. Trash talk has nothing to do with what the OP is talking about.
You have to watch him play to truly understand what Michael Jordan was Mj was something else Lebron can pass him on statistics but stats don’t tell the whole story
For me Michael is not only a person who plays basketball at the highest level or he is the G.o.a.t But for ME he is the Definition of "BASKETBALL" Mj is the GAME!
Sometimes you have to ask why the hell every move Jordan makes on the court is JUST SO BEAUTIFUL and PLEASANT TO WATCH. His Jab steps, his drive, his fakes and his shooting. Why nobody else can do it JUST LIKE THAT. Some other so called 'goat' player look like a big crab move around on the court and travel from time to time. :)
I know this is weird to think about especially as I am replying to this four years later, but one of the reasons is that Jordan is pigeon-toed, meaning his feet angle inward; and LeBron has more of a "duck walk" i.e. his feet angle outward. Therefore Jordan is moving more on his toes, so he seems to float. He really does move around the court like a ballerina. Oh, and it doesn't hurt that when he does get in the air he can "hang" longer than anyone because of his absurd vertical (a perhaps apocryphal 48 inches) and AND he can contort his body in midair like a circus freak. MJ has total control of his body and with his wiry-strong medium height and build he's able to slither through defenses with clever footwork and cunning sleight of hand(les) like a god damn assassin. On top of all that he's super black with a bald dome and man he's just slick as hell. He's the Black Cat!
Magic Johnson and Larry Bird are talking just the 2 of them. Up walks Michael Jordan and he says to the both of them "Theirs a New Sheriff in Town"...and neither disagrees...that's Savage at its finest! Lol

Come on people are we really having this debate in 2018 about whether Lebron or Jordan is the GOAT? Anybody with the ability of sight can surely tell that MJ is greatest!
right even a bling man can see it.. MICHAEL JORDAN At the age of 30, Michael Jordan retired after winning three titles. The next year he played for the Birmingham Barons, the White Sox affiliate, and led that league in stolen bases as a 31-year-old rookie. At 32 he wasn't playing either-until he came back. What if Jordan's whole career started at age 32 and ended at age 40? He would have still been the greatest ever because he was so old, yet so good, and the leader of the team with an all-time NBA best 72-10 record and three straight titles. Pretend Jordan is a rookie at age 32. Age 32 MJ started the season with only 17 games left. The Bulls were on the verge of missing the playoffs (34-31), but finished 13-4 with him in the lineup. They made the playoffs, barely, but lost in the second round to Orlando and Shaq. Regular season plus playoffs: 27 games, 772 points, 28.6 pts per game, which is more than what he actually averaged as a rookie (28.2). He also averaged 6.7 rpg, 5 apg, 2.0 spg, and 1.0 bpg. Age 33 Mike completed an amazing season in 1995-96 by leading the Bulls to an all-time record 72-10, 25 wins more than the previous season. He also led the league in scoring for a record eighth time and was named NBA MVP. They won in the Finals over Seattle 4-2. Regular season plus playoffs: 100 games played, 3,043 points, 30.4 ppg. He also averaged 6.3 rpg, 4.3 apg, and 2.1 spg. Age 34 Jordan led the league in scoring for the ninth time and beat NBA MVP Karl Malone in the Finals 4-2 under Phil, and he was named Finals MVP for the fifth time in 1996-97. They went an amazing 69-13. Kobe averaged 7.6 points in this season as a rookie. Regular season plus playoffs: 101 games, 3,910 minutes, 3,021 points, 29.9 ppg, 6.3 rpg, 4.4 apg, and 1.7 spg. Age 35 Michael became a 10-time scoring champion, five-time MVP, and six-time Finals MVP in 1997-98. He was the oldest ever player to do any of that. The Bulls went 62-20 under Phil and beat the Jazz again 4-2. Jordan was 6-0 in the Finals. Regular season plus playoffs: 103 games, 3,037 points, 29.5 ppg, 5.7 rpg, 3.5 apg, and 1.7 spg. Age 36 He retired again after second three-peat. The year was 1999. Age 37 - retired Age 38 - retired Age 39 Jordan came out of retirement again and amazingly led Washington in scoring at age 39. The year before, the Wizards were 19-63, and in 2001-02 they finished 37-45, an 18-game improvement. Jordan was the only new guy on the team. Regular season: 22.9 ppg, 5.7 rpg, 5.2 apg, and 1.4 spg. Age 40 He became the oldest player ever to score 40 points in a game and average over 20 points per game-an amazing feat for a guy who was the only player on the Wizards that year to play in all 82 games, and he was 40! They went 37-45 again, but the next year with Jordan gone they were back at 25-57. Wow, even at 40, MJ was a bad man, schooling little kids half his age. Regular season: 20.0 ppg, 6.1 rpg, 3.8 apg, and 1.5 spg. Summary From age 32 to 40 Jordan played in 473 games. He scored 12,888 pts for an average of 27.2 points per game and won three NBA titles with three Finals MVPs, two regular season MVPs, and three scoring titles in only five full seasons. At an old age, Jordan shot 46.3% from the field. Jordan in 1988: MVP, Defensive MVP, Led the league in scoring 35 ppg, Led the league in steals, All-Star Game MVP, and won the dunk contest all in the same year. Jordan 10 scoring titles, LeBron 1 Jordan 1 Defense of player of the year, LeBron 0 Jordan 3 steals, Lebron 0 Jordan 6 fmvps, Lebron 3 Jordan 6 -0, Lebron 3-5 Jordan 1 all- star Pippen , LeBron 5, wade, bosh, ray Allen, Kyrie, Kevin love. Jordan all defensive first teams 9, LeBron 5 Jordan higher shooting percentage for the regular season and playoffs. Jordan hire win shares in the playoffs and regular season. Jordan averaged more blocks in spite of being a guard Jordan 2x dunk champion, LeBron scared to enter. Beat more 60 and 50 win teams then LeBron. Jordan lead a team to 72 wins, LeBron needed a suspension assist from the league to overcome a 73 win team. Jordan 3 peated twice, LeBron 0 Jordan 1 rookie of the year, LeBron 1 (screwed Melo) Jordan 5 mvps, Lebron 4 Playoff records Jordan 43, LeBron 5 Jordan changed the game, LeBron changes teams Jordan 6 seasons with 200+ steals.........LeBron = ZERO! The name Michael Jordan in HEBREW literally means: ONE LIKE GOD WHO HAS DESCENDED. When Jordan was playing basketball fans AND Larry Bird called him a basketball god. We've been fortunate to observe a basketball player so phenomenal that he was fulfilling his divine destiny. Spectacular.
11:41 Lebron would have passed. “Oh No, here comes a double team.” Jordan said so what Triple Team I’m going to score. That’s the difference between them.
I'm one of many recently awoken LeBron fan who just realized why MJ is not only GOAT, he is the god of basketball, aesthetic, graceful, poetry in motion and it is not even close. GOAT debate is just for entertainment purposes.
when LBJ retire.. i dont think he will have this so much highlights..yes he is good in this era..maybe the best today but never was., never is and never will be like this GOAT.. when u say basketball and NBA.. Michael Jordan is d definition of it 🐐🐐🐐
what makes MJ better/different is in the details. A simple head fake , a shimmy, jab step, etc. He wasn't the only one, but it helps separate him from others due to his consistency. Combine that with his ability to read and react. There's been other great players that were great athletes, great athletic players with great skills, but MJ was simply more consistent at doing all of these things. It's what separated him from Kobe, TMac, Clyde, etc. Half of these highlights wouldn't exist if he didn't do the small details such as jab step, head fake etc. MJ GOAT BAR NONE
andgar923 he also had da best team eva assembled plus da best coach along wit da best defensive forward of all time dat he neva accomplish'd anythang witout
zReNAgAdE504 First threepeat, John Paxson, Bill Cartwright, Horace Grant, Scottie Pippen, and Michael Jordan. During the first threepeat Michael Jordan is the only player who was an all star. Pippen made one all star team the last championship of the threepeat. Pippen became the perennial all star and hall of famer during Jordan's first retirement. The second threepeat may be considered a great team, not the best ever assembled, but because of Jordan they accomplished more than those other great teams out side of Bill Russell's Celtics. Jordan, Pippen, Rodman, Harper, Kukoc, were a great defensive team, but Rodman was an offensive liability. Harper was not a scorer. Kukoc and Pippen were good offensive players, but not as good as many other offensive players. Only Jordan was great on both ends of the court. Celtics had 6 hall of famers. Lakers had 5 hall of famers. Pistons had 4 hall of famers. 76'ers had 5 hall of famers. Many other teams then and since, and presently had, have more hall of famers than Jordan's Bull's teams. First threepeat, only Jordan was a consensus hall of famer. Second threepeat, only Pippen and Rodman are hall of famers. Rodman didn't score much, less than 10 pts/gm. Best rebounder, and great defensive player. Pippen averaged a little over 20 pts/gm during second threepeat. LeBron has played with three players who averaged more points than him in a final series. Wade, Bosh, and Kyrie. Against the Mavericks Wade and Bosh averaged more points than LeBron. Wade averaged over 30 pts/gm, and Bosh nearly 25. Kyrie averaged over 28 pts/gm against Warriors twice. Jordan never played with another player who averaged over 22 pts/gm. Pippen did that twice during second threepeat. Many teams have had multiple players who averaged 25+ pts/gm. This current Warriors roster is probably the best offensive team ever assembled. The Rockets. The Lakers with MVP Kareem, and Worthy, and Bob McAdoo, etc... Sixers with Dr. J, Moses Malone, Barkley, Andrew Toney, etc.... Pistons with Isiah Thomas, Joe Dumars who was MVP against Portland with 28pts/gm, Adrian Dantley who won 4 scoring titles, Mark Mcquire, etc....., Houston with Sampson and Hakeem who beat the Lakers with Magic, Norm Nixon, Kareem during his MVP yrs, Jamaal Wilkes, etc... The only reason the Bulls are even mentioned with these other great teams is Michael Jordan. Without Jordan no one would remember the Bulls. LeBron joined a heat team with a player who was more dominant than himself. Wade was the best player on that Heat team the first two years. I remind you Wade had already won a championship with his next best player Shaq averaging 16pts and 8 rebounds. Wade was practically a one man recking crew. He demolished the reigning champion Pistons in Eastern Conference finals, and came back from a 3-1 deficit to vanquish the Mavericks. The best finals by a two guard by any player not named Jordan.
MJ has the "finesse" that makes his moves whether driving for a lay-up, assist, or dunking the ball look so spectacular and amazing. MJ has "IT". That's why MJ is the "GOAT". Lebron only has the power because of his strong upper body. He do not have any moves that you can consider his 'trademark" moves.
0.6 second highlights of MJ/GOAT, is better then any player career highlights. MJ moves are so beautiful. It's more than a style. It calls The real GOAT, the real greatness.
The wannabe GOAT's longevity isn't impressive at all when you consider he has practically never played all 82 games of the season and, most importantly, plays mediocre defense. MJ was an offensive-defensive machine. Both ends of the floor. That's why he's the real GOAT.
xtrasolido pippen guarded da best playa on da court not mj... pippen is da radon why mj made do many defensive teams lmao... pippen did moe witout mj dan mj did witout him 😅😅
@Adam M Technically it was both MJ and Pippen guarding him. They took turns. That's cause no one stops Magic either and MJ could not maintain that level of intense defense for the entire game while expecting to score as well. Of course no one could stop MJ as well.
@@zReNAgAdE504 Lol besides reading some media bs about Pippen guarding the best players just to glorify Lechoke, what else have you got for legit examples? MJ was guarding the best players even before Pippen could play legit defense till his year 4-5 in the league. MJ got DPOY and MVP even before Pippen knew two shits about the game. And you know who even taught him how to play defense, offense, passing and rebounding? MJ did all that shit. Pippen's stats as a rookie are mediocre at best but he listened hard at what MJ could teach him and MJ tortured him during trainings for several years, and you see his stats slowly improving. Having the best offensive player and one of the best defensive players playing him one on one day in and out, tremendously improved his game. Let's stop it with the bs MJ never guarded the best players. MJ was a guy who came back from a nearly season long injury to torch the Celtics, the top 5 teams of all time IN THEIR PRIME in the playoffs in his second year with a shitty Chicago team with 63 points, which till this day is a record. God disguised as MJ? Guess who said that. Larry Bird the similarly cocky and competitive player who willingly conceded MJ's play was god-like in that match.

@Mike Lowry I cant really call Wilt as goat, or any other NBA center as goat except arguably Hakeem...since most of them used 1 or 2 dimensions of play, size and strenght. Its silly for me to even compare any center to Jordan who pretty much did everything. Dribble, pass, shot short range, mid, long, steal...and most importantly more entertaining.
@Mike Lowry this is kind of silly. How exactly would he shut him down? Are we talking 1v1? I hope not that is a dumb argument to make. So, team play? Ok Jordan has a wider variety of skills and uses that to neutralize the big man on the other team.
@Mike Lowry Jordan is better and has the most trophies in NBA history with 22 only 6 are team trophies. Records are cool but trophies are better. That's the main thing athletes play for in ANY sport.
’93 MJ could simply do everything on the basketball court, driving to the rim, doing post-up moves, making 3-point shots and playing both offensive and defensive ends.
I like 89 Jordan. Just starting to be the killer shooter and post player. Best defender and 8 assists and boards while flying over and through everyone :)
Leon Hutchinson Nah cuz if you switch eras who would thrive the most in both.... Jordan would. The past era would take advantage of the lack of calls and actually put contact on the LBJ. I have watched basketball for years and there is nobody who can do the things MJ did. MJ was the greatest 2 way player at that time.
It's amazing Michael Jordan game is more exciting than the games that's actually being played. Extraordinary and legendary Irreplaceable.
This mix is filthy. Lots of Jordan plays I've never seen.
How soon they forget. Man was a wizard with the ball. But they never say anything about his passing ability. Played both sides of the court. His presence was incredible. Great video G.O.A.T.

It kinda chokes me up to watch, its so very special. Thanks man, thanks for letting me get lost in memories, i am smiling ear to ear :)
What still amazes me is the energy in both ends. He was a friggin machine with how he had to carry scoring duties and still be first team all defense.
no player to this day looked this fluid, almost felt like watching a ballet with MJ. Ppl have no idea how mind blowing this was when you watched on a TV broadcast. It was like waiting for a magic trick that always delivered.

EXACTLY THIS.

Crab cross the legs on dunks it’s just doesn’t look good.
Lbj ugly comedy moves 🤣🤣
How can a person think so fast while under pressure in the court like this. Its just amazing
Me: "What a 13-minute mix of gorgeous plays"
and then I realized this includes only ONE season of 1993.
Damn crazy I didn't know that lol

MICHAEL JORDAN
At the age of 30, Michael Jordan retired after winning three titles.
Age 32
MJ started the season with only 17 games left.
Age 33
Mike completed an amazing season in 1995-96 by leading the Bulls to an all-time record 72-10, 25 wins more than the previous season.
Age 34
Jordan led the league in scoring for the ninth time and beat NBA MVP Karl Malone in the Finals 4-2 under Phil, and he was named Finals MVP for the fifth time in 1996-97. They went an amazing 69-13. Kobe averaged 7.6 points in this season as a rookie.
Regular season plus playoffs: 101 games, 3,910 minutes, 3,021 points, 29.9 ppg, 6.3 rpg, 4.4 apg, and 1.7 spg.
Age 35
Michael became a 10-time scoring champion, five-time MVP, and six-time Finals MVP in 1997-98.
Age 36
He retired again after second three-peat. The year was 1999.
Age 37 - retired
Age 38 - retired
Age 39
Jordan came out of retirement again and amazingly led Washington in scoring at age 39. The year before, the Wizards were 19-63, and in 2001-02 they finished 37-45, an 18-game improvement. Jordan was the only new guy on the team.
Regular season: 22.9 ppg, 5.7 rpg, 5.2 apg, and 1.4 spg.
Age 40
He became the oldest player ever to score 40 points in a game and average over 20 points per game-an amazing feat for a guy who was the only player on the Wizards that year to play in all 82 games, and he was 40! They went 37-45 again, but the next year with Jordan gone they were back at 25-57. Wow, even at 40, MJ was a bad man, schooling little kids half his age.
Regular season: 20.0 ppg, 6.1 rpg, 3.8 apg, and 1.5 spg.
Summary
From age 32 to 40 Jordan played in 473 games. He scored 12,888 pts for an average of 27.2 points per game and won three NBA titles with three Finals MVPs, two regular season MVPs, and three scoring titles in only five full seasons. At an old age, Jordan shot 46.3% from the field.

what makes MJ better/different is in the details. MJ GOAT BAR NONE

zReNAgAdE504 First threepeat, John Paxson, Bill Cartwright, Horace Grant, Scottie Pippen, and Michael Jordan.
You can see dominant and super athletic players nowadays but MJ's finesse and composure was incomparable. Facts!
I'm very much impressed on his Suffocating defence. GOAT as Scorer, GOAT as defender.
The ultimate competitor blessed with other worldly athletic gifts and a willingness to never settle on his skill set. 🐐
People got short term memory and cant look past 2018. MJ was and will always be the G.O.A.T
Short list of things more unstoppable than a Jordan fade-away jumper
MJ has the "finesse" that makes his moves whether driving for a lay-up, assist, or dunking the ball look so spectacular and amazing. MJ has "IT". That's why MJ is the "GOAT".
Lebron only has the power because of his strong upper body. He do not have any moves that you can consider his 'trademark" moves.
True
0.6 second highlights of MJ/GOAT, is better then any player career highlights. MJ moves are so beautiful. It's more than a style. It calls The real GOAT, the real greatness.
Jordan as he drives to the basket:
"Excuse me... pardon me... coming through... don't mind me..."
That is if he's a soft player
The wannabe GOAT's longevity isn't impressive at all when you consider he has practically never played all 82 games of the season and, most importantly, plays mediocre defense. MJ was an offensive-defensive machine. Both ends of the floor. That's why he's the real GOAT.

Really? How come Jordan got a Defensive Player of the Year award while Pippen didn't?
@Mike Lowry Jabbar played 20 seasons in NBA, Jordan played 12+3 in Wizards, Wilt played 14.
What about Bill Russell?
I remember wearing his jersey when i was little, I didn't even know who he is. But growing up learning what a great legend he is and God

What you, Clutch23, and others like you are doing is important work. You may call it a hobby or just a job but this is an important addition to the archives so that people won't forget. I'm sure MJ content is on NASA's list of "Things & People of Earth" time capsule to blast off into space.
Men, my granpha says the same thing about Chamberlain.
I have watched basketball for years and there is nobody who can do the things MJ did. The quickness, the fluidity in execution, the grace, the control, the ability to just hang in the air as the defense went flying by. Michael Jordan was an athletic freak of nature unlike what we have ever and probably will ever see. I am fortunate to have grown up during the Jordan era...
I watch Mj videos all the time and never get tire of the watching the greatness of this player,
33.4ppg CAREER AVERAGE IN PLAYOFFS.
6 FINAL MVP's IN 6 FINAL APPEARANCES.
...
It is staggering how many people are not able to let those two facts sink into their skulls.
They are the two single most impressive and important stat pieces ever in basketball.
Random Palmtop Gaming indeed
Remember folks he did most his scoring with 2 pointers, if he wanted to put the 3 apart of his ge he would be the only player to teach the 40,000 point mark.well if u give Jordan 5 more years like Kobe and the other 4 ahead of him in scoring it wouldn't even be a debate he would have 40,000 plus.every scoring leader ahead of him played at least 5 more year n he still number 4 in scoring
Just saying.GOAT
ihr habt mir das zerstört....... as soon as 2011.... it is your doing not mine.............
go fuck you!
he ddnt go for stats but still got there
Kenneth Petrovic and also why he still led the league and scoring that year he can’t help it if people just can’t stop him
@Kenneth Petrovic the Jordan rules was a Detroit Pistons thing where as they was beating him up physically to try to stop him dumb ass. And he ended up getting revenge on them
@Kenneth Petrovic and by the way they still couldn't stop him from dominating
This is a top tier highlight reel. Ample context and setup for each clip. Not just the flashy dunks and buckets but all the little hustle plays and fundamentals that made Jordan great. No obnoxious music, sound effects, or unnecessary editing.. I'd love to see you make some videos for other all time greats.
Hours and hours of footage by one player...GOAT!
Man..
Never seen sports more hype then when Jordan was playing.. Those were the days ☺️
Only player ever with no weakness.
I remember when NBA Jam came out and Michael wasen’t in it. They said it was due to licensing but the truth was no gaming system had enough memory to contain all of his greatness without exploding, pretty sure they still don’t.
That game was still lit af though
His inclusion would have made the game unfair and the funny thing is that's not even a joke. The game gave all the players stats and rankings. I remember destroying almost everyone with Penny's speed imagine Jordan lol
@@joshjones9749 To make up for not having MJ, they gave Pippen Jordan's attributes.
The first time I saw him I already falling in love with him and that's before the Bulls won any competition ever.
Jordan, lethal from EVERYWHERE
Excellent music for once!👍
At first I thought this was just a simple highlight play. Later did I realize that Jordan here being guarded by 2, 3 even 4 players. That's how lethal he is.
Remember we are still in the post Jordan era.
Those off the glass reverse and under layups with spin are so accurate and good.
He is an exceptional skilled passer.
Why can't i ever get tired of watching this Mad Man! It gets better 20yrs after, i mean like wow.
