Hi mike, You're living the dream, keep doing what you do 👌🏽 Do you happen know a little about opening a business in thailand, not online business but an actual shop or cafe. If you have any suggestions or tips for the paperwork and brokers, i would appreciate it, thanx
I entered on my DTV in late October, based on the digital nomad sub-type. I'm back here in my condo in Hua Hin that I've been unable to sell... My estate agent says people are buying houses in estates in the hills around the city, so getting a condo in town is going to be a bargain due to oversupply.
Recently approved for DTV Visa, can tell you that it is already getting more strict. You may have issues since you are already living and working in Thailand and since you are on youtube it will be very easy to verify. The intent of DTV is to welcome nomads from outside of Thailand to come and explore and spend their foreign funds to benefit the economy and the locals. 500k baht will definitely be required + a portfolio of your work which they will see easily that you are already earning from working in Thailand, again not the intention of this specific Visa. You will also need to be outside of the country for awhile as it is now taking a min of 2-3 weeks and that's if they don't request further docs or deny your initial request. Best bet would be the current 60 day tourist visa or the 1 year language/muay thai visa in which you need to be registered in an accepted program. Alternatively you could leave the country and apply for DTV using the simpler cooking class option. We can argue about the semantics, but this is something you need to attend to ASAP, the more people that get approved means they will be more strict in the future. Good luck and let us know what you decide 🙌

Good luck, I hope you get the DTV visa with a sponsorship letter
I applied for it also and I'm currently in the USA. If approved, I'll have to pick up the Visa in Dallas Texas.
Have a nice day in Samui island. 🤗😊👍❤️🎉🎊🌴🏝🏖
Good luck Mike
Thanks for the well wishes!

Hey mike do you have a link to Forrest Lee's sample contract you could share?
Sorry it's actually Paul Lee's channel. I sometimes get them mixed up. He shows the template in his latest DTV video.

I tried to get 30 days too, but they told me to come back 80k baht pension income so its more than enough for the requirements.
Sorry to hear that. Are you planning to get the retirement visa?
@@AbroadInThailand yeah. Retirement one. I saw the requirement is 50 years of age and minimum 80k baht pension every month which I fulfill.
Title is DTV Visa Update, but, actually, you don't seem to know much about it.
I was one of the first on RUclips to make videos about the DTV Visa. Check out some of my other resources.
Personally i didnt like Hua Hin, because there is a high way right through the city. Koh Samui is much better.
Agreed. I much prefer the ring road that goes around the entire island.
