In this episode, I'll be demonstrating the amazing things you can do with a hard-modded OG Xbox. you can upgrade the console's HDD up to 16TB, allowing you to store and play countless games and DVD movies. You'll also have access to a vast library of classic Xbox games, and can even upgrade the RAM to 128m (not recommended).
Not only that, but you'll be able to enjoy multiplayer games with your family and friends, as well as play a variety of exciting homebrew games. With so many possibilities, there's no doubt that the hard-modded OG Xbox is an incredible gaming console that you won't want to miss out on!

Playstation games on Xbox actually do run pretty damn good. All it needs is the correct settings/disc image(s). I've done a video on my channel for more details.

It's kind of incredible how good these online multi-player restoration projects are. The other day I was playing metal gear online 2 on rpcs3 and it felt just like I was playing it on the console back in the day.
Honestly can't wait for it to evolve even further beyond. Especially for the moment Mortal Kombat Deception gets back Online via Insignia...well, hopefully, anyway.
Not to mention that PC handhelds are starting to get extremely popular so maybe in half a decade we'll be playing Metal Gear Online 2 in bed in insane quality! (Sure, the Rog Ally can run it but it ain't exactly smooth, hah)

maybe you can buy a pre modded one, make sure its mod chip is able to flash cerbios
It's actually not that bad, depending on what board revision you have. The main game used to exploit the system is the first Splinter Cell game (do NOT purchase the platinum hits version). That game is readily available and very cheap.

Have you noticed any issues with watching movies on the Xbox? Have you got anything on there at 720p?
Mpeg2 480p is about the max you'll get without a cpu upgrade. Having said that, I re-encode all of mine to mpeg2 480p to the max quality settings I can while keeping the files under 4gb (Fat32 limit) and they actually look very good on my 4k tv with an hdmi adapter. If you aren't just a pixel snob you can't tell much difference in playing them from the Xbox or playing 1080p movies from my plex server. I take mine with us on vacation and crap so we have 1 box to do everything.

I believe that finding exploitable games online and softmodding your Xbox should be relatively easy. If you have soldering skills, the TSOP method is also a viable option, be careful and good luck!

Only of the reasons I modded my og Xbox was so I could go back online and play the games I didn't when I couldn't during the original xbox live was up
I got a 1.0 last month also. I put in a modchip and got a 8tb hdd. I haven't done any memory upgrades yet. I did however convert my games to cci format for Cerbios. I am having a great time with it! A tip for the modchip, if you choose any place for the D0 point to solder too, i suggest the top of the motherboard. When i tried the bottom it would Frag red/green on the eject button. Happy gaming!

@@rabbitgame Congrats. It's a really good price. I though you should have mention a jailbroken xbox can play xbox games that got cancel and never released officially (I can't tell you examples but I know there's at least one).
