It is even for me to but you cant let them always do it so I try to pick the best time to interrupt them so they don't get free mix-ups in your face all the time
Took me MONTHS to get this down in Tekken 7 with Jin. Because of all that effort, I want to focus hard with Mishima's only before thinking of other characters.
Took me a long time back in TTT2 days to and the P1 side for me was the toughest but I actually prefer P1 now because I forced myself to play on that side constantly when learning it
Yeah same, I could do right side fine but I couldnt do it consistantly on the left side and was confused as to what I was doing wrong. I guess I was just inputting forward too fast after the initial dash so sometimes my dashes werent chaining. Great video Dia.
Played mishimas for 6+ years intensively and now i got wrist issues as a result. Take breaks lol, once you notice wrist issues it's usually too late so be careful.
This is such a simple yet informative tutorial for new players. Great work bro 👍🏼 It’s also pretty good to know the wavedash gameplan hasn’t changed in T8, it feels a bit odd from the demo compared to how much time i’ve sunk into T7, but i think once i get the game and decide which Mishima is for me, that’ll smooth itself out.
I made the mistake of picking Kazuya in Tekken 8, the only Tekken game i've seriously put time and effort into learning. Kazuya in T8 feels like wearing diamond armor in minecraft while fighting Netherite Armored players. Everyone else is just more optimized
@luislu8615 I would just practice linking 2 crouch dashes together at first on both sides and no more! Just make sure you can do two together at first without input issues. Practice chaining the two crouch dashes together slowly at first, you need to give your hand time to learn the muscle memory! It might feel like you are getting no where at first but you'll see little improvements over time! Once you can do two together practice adding in one more at a time going forward
I got it in practice mode but it’s so scary to try online with spammers. Edit: Oh shit I can’t do it like this guy maybe three good looking one on a good day
Nahh.. Wavedash is actually a counter-blocking, so dont wavu against mashers only do it on takedown situation to realign with opponent. make a aggresive gameplay until they decide to play defense and thats the time to use wavu as timing control.
I would show it with pad but I play on stick and my pad wavedash isnt that fast on pad. There is plenty of people who can on pad but they dont make a video of it
Can this even be done on Pad or Hitbox? Before people say "yes of course" immediately, then tell me why I never see these tutorials done with them? You'd think it'd be hella easy to do on leverless with the button inputs right?
It can most certainly be done on hitbox and from what I have seen hitbox can be crazy fast! It can be done on pad and the reason I think there is not a lot of pad tutorials is that a lot of mishima players move to stick early on. But there is some pad demonstrations of wavedash on youtube as I have seen them before Nowadays I think hitbox is the way to go for tekken in general!
Yes, of course. There's enough tutorials on RUclips. Leverless on P2 is where the difficulty is at though. You'd be hard pressed to find a leverless Godfist player that plays that side willingly 😂
I played on pad and can do wavedash but a bit slower and not janky but unfortunately I only play on p2 so if there's someone switching me to the other side I lose
I have seen some people use the middle of their thumb and just wiggle it back and fourth between forward and down and they get a pretty fast wave dash!
As a non mishima player, wavedash is always terrifying to look at. It's a way to assert dominance
It is even for me to but you cant let them always do it so I try to pick the best time to interrupt them so they don't get free mix-ups in your face all the time
Wavedash pressure ruins you at lower ranks if the opponent doesn’t know shit they just wack you every time 😭
@@vergil3800 true 😂
the most helpful wavedash guide by actually showing us ur direct hand movement on BOTH sides. TYSM
Glad you enjoyed it!

@@DianatrodaI’m trying to learn ewgf with kaz and it’s difficult af.
@fettsackmitbandana4632 keep practicing it will get better and better over time!
I take turns on P1 and P2 just to be good at both sides. @@Dianatroda
@@fettsackmitbandana4632 I'm on that same journey. I'm sorta getting there, i hit 3 in a row last time i did some practice
Always got confused with this. Never tried the neutral part after the initial dash. This helped a lot lmfao. Now I got it down.
Good stuff glad it helped!

Finally someone who explains how to do the dash consecutively
While the wave dash is definitely visually appealing, I do find it funny to look at 😂 especially with Devil Jin.
ahahaha he looks like a chicken flapping
Nice slow mo there. Lots of guides out there don't slow down and going mad when showing how to do it. Nice video and thanks
Finally someone who mentions that it also looks cool af!
More Mishima tech let’s boys
There is plenty more on the way 👌

I'm still ok thankfully but I have been thinking about trying hitbox
Got out of Bushin thanks to this. Much appreciated
Glad to hear :) I want to get back in to ranked but trying to work on content for RUclips as much as I can!
Gotta pick up devil Jin after this again thank you great help as always
He's really strong at the moment and thanks for watching!

Yeah thank god they didn't change it, they tried to do that in Tekken 4 and people went crazy and thank you very much :)
@@Dianatroda Seriously? I’ll have to check that out. Haven’t played much T4 haha
A very useful tutorial, thanks

I’ve been practicing right side for a few weeks now. I can get 1-2 of 10 ewgf and can WD but gave up and just mapped a button for it through steam 😂
Thats a bit controversial I think 😅
How much I want that Jin tekken 4 costume!!
I have a feeling we will get costume DLCs over the lifespan of the game so I can see it coming
When you say quarter circle, is that clockwise or anti clockwise (if on left side, facing right)
If on the left side (P1) it is anti-clockwise
If on the right side (P2) it is clockwise
Nice tutorial! How long did it take for you to develop this level of fluency?
On stick it probably took me 3-6 months! Everyone is different though and back when I learned it I had a lot of free time!
@@DianatrodaDo you have any tips on how to practice/train effectively? Or just do what you did in the video over and over again?

Playing on xbox series x with the razer wolverine chroma v2. So hard wavedashing on Dpad, but it‘s possible
Thank you for this, man. paul has something like this but not as good, hehe
He does have a crouch dash but cannot link them together 😅

It can be difficult to use against people online at times alright 😅
Yeah my homie is a tekken spammer. I only use wavedash against him on knockdown lol

Please teach how to perform a wave dash on the keyboard or hitbox on player 2's side
Not an easy task 😅
just gotta develop a stronger ring finger. it sucks :(
With d pad is the f df f or f d df f? Are we skipping d? Thank you
Its f,n,d,df,n,f. Its the same for any controller!
They never show it with a game pad.
same principle, but just with ur thumb
It's super easy on pad. I got my wavedash just in 2 days before I started optimizing it
I would show it with pad but I play on stick and my pad wavedash isnt that fast on pad. There is plenty of people who can on pad but they dont make a video of it

Backdash tutorial please?
I will look in to it
Please do a tutorial for pad
Stick is my primary controller so my pad wavedash isnt the best but if I get enough requests I will try to do one!
Is a fight stick required for maximum efficiency?
No I don't think so, I have seen fast wavedashes on pad and hitbox/keyboard!
Whats the Arcade Stick do you use :)

Okay it’s fair gas listening to a fella with an Irish accent on about Tekken

How do it on ps5 controller?
Looks like a toddler who just found a penny on the ground
i can do it as Devil Jin, but as Viktor he don't crouch dash, dunno why
only for mishima
@@bananaxz444 ooooh
I can’t chain more than 3 on p1 cuz I end up doing f n d df instead of f n qcf
While on P2 I can do 15 !
P1 is difficult, I just had to force myself to play on it for a long time before I got good on that side!
It’s so much harder to do on pad considering it being one big button

It is possible my primary controller is stick so my pad wavedash wouldn't be that fast!

I still don't have it yet anyway 😂
Is this even possible on keyboard?
Its possible on all types of controllers it just takes time and practice to learn
Yep it is definitely possible on keyboard

I am not from Brazil if that's what you are asking 😅
Doing this on controller breaks your thumbs 😂
It does but they will become more resilient over time😅
