Very smart breakdown showing what is about to be done then showing how it is done with no detail skipped in an efficient set of static shots. A very intelligent production technique. Well done!

Hi Jim I helped a mechanic mate a while back and we did the timing but I do remember we lost a fair bit of antifreeze, recently the car is blowing semi? hot? only I can't see any leaks unless you can can tell me where to look for the common areas?I was thinking of taking of thermostat housing and cleaning it out would you recommend it?Or should i flush out old fluid and refill with brand new fluid?Any help advice would be appreciated thanks.
Great video by the way enjoyed watching and gave you a thumbs up!

Hi there, is your coolant level back at the max mark? And did you change the waterpump? These can be a pig to bleed the coolant system, in fact I had a nightmare trying to bleed this one...if the cars warm and you sit and revv the car to 2-3000 rpm do the blowers get any hotter?

@@ALLTHINGSJIM Hi Thanks for your reply back the coolant is at the max mark but drops from time to time as I think the current antifreeze is weak solution as I have added water I did however bleed the system it made a bit of difference!but before we did the timing the original antifreeze always stayed at the max mark and the heater was super hot!so I assuming the water pump is okay and the antifreeze may need fresh 5ltr which I have purchased but before I go putting it in I thought i'd ask yourself which way would be best to go bout it!
Many Thanks for your quick reply Jim:)

Well, it sounds to me like you may have a slight leak somewhere if your having to top it up, even if it was at 100% water it shouldnt drop its level, so before you go dumping out the old stuff and filling with nice new antifreeze id say give everywhere a good look over for a leak with the engine running and hot so the coolant is flowing around the system 👍

@@ALLTHINGSJIM I was thinking there may have been a leak somewhere but i'm not sure exactly whereabouts to look but i will take your advice and run the engine and thoroughly check everywhere!
      Many Thanks Mate ;-)

No problem, check all along the radiator, all your hoses, underneath the thermostat housing make sure coolant bottles not cracked and in your cars footwells for leaks 👍
