@@BrittonFilmmaker I think the main reason people were skeptical was one of the first images we got of him as the witcher which honestly looked like ass. the hair was super shiny silver and just looked off and it looked like he had some weird makeup on and it just didn't look good. the next images they released were a huge "damn he does fit the bill" moment for many people
There’s an interview with him where he says that he literally became a recluse for 3 years playing WoW, around 2010. Only thing that snapped him out was getting the Man of Steel part. He also says in this interview that he’s a big Total War fan.

As for astartes, he engineered them himself to be servants of the Imperium, not mercenaries as witchers are. While you have a point about the mutants in the guard, you should also realize that mutants are still somewhat of a lower status than normal humans in the Imperium and you can see that in the hierarchy of the hive cities and underhives. Seems like you might need to brush up on your lore.
Benjamin Sanchez any actor or artist, appreciates a good story. The books are excellent, as is the game. Hell I even took my wife to go see Frozen 2, because I enjoy a good story. And as a novice author, you can find inspiration anywhere and from any story.

He didn't look quite right and Geralt's white hair didn't look like it belonged on Cavil's head. I think it was because they simply didn't blend it correctly. I am so impressed with Cavills grasp of the character. Having played the games and read the books (well listened to the books) he has a deeper understanding than most, if not all, other actors that could have played the role.
He probably understand geralt more than even the director of the serie, who seem to despise the games. Cavill could actually almost save the serie by himself. So I hope geralt won't have a backseat

In his mind, it's still blip blops with Pacman. Alongside that, Sapkowski is angry that he took a set amount of money for the license rather than percentage-based royalties but that is *because* he didn't believe that the games would be a success. Since Sapkowski is the one connected to the Netflix series, obviously he will do everything he can to focus on his work. So, this has little to nothing to do with Alik Sakharov "despising the games".

Like Bollibompa mentioned though Andrezej Sapkowski doesn't look too kindly on video games and feels like they can't be art and tell a story but he's a bit of an old curmudgeon that doesn't get or understand that games can be art and can indeed tell a great story if done right.
Sapkowski had last 2 years really tough. He was in need of large sum of money to save his son, who had cancer. So that was his main reason he fought with CDPR. Eventually Sapkowskis son died last year and Sapkowski says now he does not care more about money. Now it is not so important for him, I think he and CDPR got along. Hope it clers. Cavill was the absolute perfect casting choice for this because he deeply and properly understands Geralt’s character and clearly loves these stories. Absolutely brilliant for us as fans that we’re lucky enough to have someone so committed to the role and stories to bring them to life.

Throughout the entire game I imagined it to be an actual unicorn that got stuffed, like you would hunt down a bear and stuff it. It all made so much more sense after I saw that it was a toy. I always imagined them sitting atop the unicorn, doing it. Maybe the unicorn's dong was stuffed too and that played a part, idk.
Never seen the show, but just seeing how much the actor himself cares about his character & speaks as tho he is him, makes me wanna watch! Love actors who enjoy playing their characters & finding ways to portray different sides!

He didn't look quite right and Geralt's white hair didn't look like it belonged on Cavil's head. I think it was because they simply didn't blend it correctly. Perhaps it just needed a bit of mud and blood to really get the look right. XD

Season 1 Geralt is literally a player that decided to max out on Aard instead of Igni or Quen.
I had really hoped to see him cast igni tho 😕
I am so impressed with Cavills grasp of the character. Having played the games and read the books (well listened to the books) he has a deeper understanding than most, if not all, other actors that could have played the role.
He probably understand geralt more than even the director of the serie, who seem to despise the games.
Cavill could actually almost save the serie by himself. So I hope geralt won't have a backseat

Andrzej Sapkowski is *indifferent* to the adaptations of CD Projekt Red, there's a big difference. This has to do with him being too old to regard video games as an art form with weight. In his mind, it's still blip blops with Pacman. Remember that it's just in the recent times that video games have grown into an enormous cultural phenomenon that can deliver stories that captivate millions upon millions. Alongside that, Sapkowski is angry that he took a set amount of money for the license rather than percentage-based royalties but that is *because* he didn't believe that the games would be a success.
Since Sapkowski is the one connected to the Netflix series, obviously he will do everything he can to focus on his work. So, this has little to nothing to do with Alik Sakharov "despising the games".
@@RX-NoName The Director isn't the one that despises the games its the author of the books that hates the games and he's involved in the show. Like Bollibompa mentioned though Andrezej Sapkowski doesn't look too kindly on video games and feels like they can't be art and tell a story but he's a bit of an old curmudgeon that doesn't get or understand that games can be art and can indeed tell a great story if done right.
Sapkowski had last 2 years really tough. He was in need of large sum of money to save his son, who had cancer. So that was his main reason he fought with CDPR. Eventually Sapkowskis son died last year and Sapkowski says now he does not care more about money. Now it is not so important for him, I think he and CDPR got along. Hope it clers. Throughout the entire game I imagined it to be an actual unicorn that got stuffed, like you would hunt down a bear and stuff it. It all made so much more sense after I saw that it was a toy. I always imagined them sitting atop the unicorn, doing it. Maybe the unicorn's dong was stuffed too and that played a part, idk.

Iteration Fack&Shet except for the fact that it’s the same sword he used to kill the swamp monster, and renfri specifically says “magic doesn’t work on me, silver does though.” Personally I think the 2 swords, silver and steel is just game mechanics when it comes to the games, I feel that silver would work as good as steel.
