Thanks a lot man.... I had played this a bit, then left it for a few months and when I come back didn't remember WTF I was doing LOL This has helped a lot... And don't listen to the haters.... You made this to HELP people, which is always the right thing to do :-)
You do all know that you can press start and hit tutorial and go through it again don’t you? This video is a waste you are literally narrating the info the game already is giving at start. Here I was thinking I would learn some crazy mechanic to apply and create builds and shit or maybe some cool aspect about a royal arm or specified weapon I didn’t know like did you know you shouldn’t try to hit multiple enemies with your royal arms because they can make you go in danger since it is % hp drain depending on the weapon the number is different? Did you know that if you are making a magic build you should be focusing on pure magic stats and actually some weapons take advantage of 2 stats like blade of the father or scepter of the pious and combine the stats when attacking? Did you know the basics of breaking guards on enemies to make them vulnerable if you want a no magic build or just not rely on it as much? Sry man but that is just some lazy shit you just did and a waste of space in RUclips
I'm laid off for Covid19 and realized I never made it through this game. But I really do not want to start back at the beginning. This was great. Thank you uploader.
Wow bunch pre teens in here. Nice vid dude. This is actually exactly what I was looking for. A Step by Step guide of how the combat works. I am in the middle of deciding of whether i should buy it, so I wanted to know the combat basics. Thanks again, this video stated exactly what it said it would :)
I’m up to Chapter 3 in this game, and all I’ve been doing is just exploring the map, because that’s what I like doing in open-world games, and I’ve got the combat down, and it’s probably one of the best parts of the game for me, even though how to do it is really simple
Man, nothing in this video was not even remotely explained in the game itself. Let alone to an extent that would help the player. Awesome video, it was more than useful.👍
Thanks for the video, I got to watch it in my leisure time, where I didn't feel like going through any of this in my gaming time, which is limited... Great work, you got a like and a subscribe from me
You're likely reading these comments through facepalmed fingers. Yes, it really is a complete waste of time. 27 minute video to read you the controls at a third grade level.
On the fence whether I want to buy this game, just finished FF7 Remake and I haven't had my fill of Final Fantasy. Although, I'm not crazy about this combat system. Spells are limited? That seems really, really stupid. No other FF games have a limited number of times you can use a spell, you can use them until your MP runs out.
Yeah felt the same way. I have lot of trouble in this game meanwhile, im doing fine in ff7 remake. Played this game within an hour and then i just gave up
frasieredwards there's a skill you can get through the ascension menu that will let you know weaknesses, but it's not consistent. Not sure if that changes later down the skill tree or not
This game’s combat sucks so much. Not even due to its design but rather due to how finicky and unresponsive it is. Often when the dodge icon appears, you can’t actually dodge even if you press it well before the icon disappears. And often when I’m holding dodge and doing nothing else, just standing there, Noctis randomly just… doesn’t dodge. Plus, normal attacks deal almost no damage to some enemies even when hitting a weakness, and even when they’re way below your level. Stop wasting my time, game. Not to mention how slowly you recover after being knocked down in a FAST-PACED ACTION GAME where enemies love to swarm you. WTF?? The worst part is that the combat is never difficult, just frustrating, tedious, and annoying.
God knows why they didn’t just use the ff7 remake combat for this game. Would have been dope. Dodging, parrying and comboing on time is so much more satisfying than this odd feeling combat system that was used in this game.

Ha I’m just getting back into the game after 1.5 years. And I have no fucking clue what I’m doing
Seriously! I haven't played the game in years and literally just needed to remember what the heck the buttons were.
Same situation here, play the game for the first time in 4 years and i cant remember a damn thing except the attack button lmao

I didn’t even know you get just hold it down till I finished, all my fights consisted of spamming potions and elixirs
I'm laid off for Covid19 and realized I never made it through this game. But I really do not want to start back at the beginning. This was great. Thank you uploader.
There's a tutorial button when you pause the game. Doing the tutorial again won't restart your game.

Same reason I am here
i agree mate! god knows why so many dislikes
Pre teens being here matters how
nice video dude, don't mind the negative feedbacks.

I feel like its really deep tbh, i still struggle with it
cant stop replaying this game
Thank you for this now I know how the combat will be if I buy this game
I skipped the tutorial (boo!) and I just watched this on my way home. Can't wait to jump in again, thank you for making this!
Did it work?
Haven't played this game since 2016. Just tried to play it and forgot how to fight lol. Getting my ass kicked
Same here

Man, nothing in this video was not even remotely explained in the game itself. Let alone to an extent that would help the player. Awesome video, it was more than useful.👍
Thanks! This was way more helpful than the in game tutorial!
It is the game tutorial
"Noctos"
"Gladios"
Promptiolus
You're literally reading the actual tutorial..... ~_~
He added some things i guess.
whylekat he was a little more in depth and I learned some things even after being 5 hours into the game
whylekat also I didn't pay very much attention in the tutorial but still I learned a little
whylekat soo it did a marvelous job/perfect creds to this guy
I want to learn before I buy it
Very well explained tutorial. Helped me a lot!
I’m not a beginner but I love this game and it’s combat
Thank you. I didn't know about wait I haven't been using. Also haven't gotten very far in the game.
That really helped me. Thanks for the video, much appreciated.
Thanks for this. I stopped playing the game for a long while and needed a fresh reminder on the gameplay.
You could've just replayed the tutorial
Thanks for the video, I got to watch it in my leisure time, where I didn't feel like going through any of this in my gaming time, which is limited... Great work, you got a like and a subscribe from me
Dont understand all the dislikes. This was very helpful.
You're likely reading these comments through facepalmed fingers. Yes, it really is a complete waste of time. 27 minute video to read you the controls at a third grade level.
That's the fcking point lol. A visual, easy guide
Why do they always switch the buttons why not make circle phase/ dodge
Combat Tutorial: Equip Ragnarok, hold R1 and press triangle. Recover MP and repeat.
Thats cheese though

Truth: XV has a much better combat system than XIII
wait who is noctal?
Main character i think
Bruh
I had just forgotten if the purple meant reduced damage or not....That's all I wanted to know....
LIKE and FAVORITE!
thx man
Thanks dude 👍🏼
Great video. Informative
Thanks for the awesome explanation man, helped alot👌👌👌
i have a problem here . is it a graphic problem or what. there's little and pixelized
I love the combat system. I dont know what yall are on about
Great video thanks
can you find out the weaknesses without the wait option
frasieredwards there's a skill you can get through the ascension menu that will let you know weaknesses, but it's not consistent. Not sure if that changes later down the skill tree or not
The tutorial says tilt but u say hold, so which one is it. Also can you « ^ » and tilt/hold back on the left analog
Alot of dislikez..... i can see why
Thanks for narrating the in game tutorial. Your bro voice made it unbearable.
22:29 what happened to cure, cura, and curaga?
Plz tell me how to roll...tell me button to push?
Any tips on if your out of potions in battle
this video could have been 30 seconds long
I'm trying to figure out what the rightmost icon that looks like a star is or means. Anybody know?
Okay I know this video is 7 years old but these content creators and their "buddons" Holy shit the word has 2 "T"s not two d's!!!
see there is my problem great god BTW but you said you hold the L they say tilt so which is it
why the fuck is his name GLADIOLOUS? (when trying to be different goes wrong)
Thanks. I did not want to read all of the prompts.
Is there still blitz and firaga's in this FF?
Kinda? The magic system’s flawed like a lot of things in this game. But I love it nonetheless
This game is basically Kingdom Hearts III, and Jump Force lol
except this game came out before both of those
to zanarkand .. the best ost of the series .. thumbs up if you agree
The combat is kinda tacky, cheap, and chaotic.

???
Break appendages to do more damage
hmm... its literally the tutorial from the game xD why should anyone need this, when its literally the same in the game?!?!
God knows why they didn’t just use the ff7 remake combat for this game. Would have been dope. Dodging, parrying and comboing on time is so much more satisfying than this odd feeling combat system that was used in this game.
Yeah I love the world , the characters, the music is great and the story is engaging... but the combat is horrible
Yeah but I’d rather a full on hack n slash game than a half turned based. DMC combat with an FFVIIR parrying system would be awesome.
I'm gonna go with "because this game came out 4 years before the Final Fantasy 7 Remake".
