United Airlines has been troubled news lately, with customer care and satisfaction being dragged into the spotlight. From boarding to deplaning (thankfully at the intended destination :), this 9 hour domestic service is the perfect opportunity to test drive exactly how the United experience plays out these days. United needs to have life on flights 6 or more hours and complimentary sandwiches maybe not hot but 10.00 bucks is a little high
Great Trip Report! I Just Flew On The AC 777-200LR From YVR-YYZ, And As Much As I Like The New Cabin, It Was Very Tight, And Uncomfortable

LOL! Overfueled! I was on a United flight (it was a B-747) from Chicago to Honolulu a number of years ago, and we were late departing because massive rainstorms had closed all but one runway at ORD. It took us nearly two hours in queue before we could finally take off, and once airborne the captain announced that we had burned so much fuel on the taxiways while awaiting our turn to depart that we were compelled to make an unscheduled stop in Los Angeles-LAX to refuel, before heading out over the Pacific.
Wow! We were lucky we didn't have such extensive delays on this flight!
I sat at the same gate 3.75 hrs on flight 219 due to aircraft issues awhile back. My first and last time I fly United to Honolulu. The longest most boring 8.5 hr flight without personal entertainment screens and such a cattle car feel to the cabin. I fly Delta now.

United should at least provide complimentary meals for such a long domestic flight. Furthermore the portion for those buy on board meals seems pretty little and expensive.

They do take credit cards! That's how I paid, but I'm not sure if they take cash

There are a variety of different access options. I believe a hour pass is $7, and a day pass is $19. Hope this helps!

No, there is a fee for the WiFi. However the personal device entertainment is free

Thanks showing the sandwich. I did look good. Their cheeseburgers were always great but they heated them up which made the sack sweat and the bun get mushy. Yuk.
Anytime you fly united and don't get beaten bloody is a good day
TIP: for the same price, you can fly Delta a330, 772, and 764 nonstop, all have tvs and free food from ATL, MSP, soon seasonally DTW and seasonally JFK
