- With monumental works by renowned contemporary artists, Giants: Art from the Dean Collection of Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys encourages “giant conversations” inspired by the works on view-critiquing society and celebrating Blackness.
Amongst artworks that are currently on view at the Brooklyn Museum, the Deans shared their approach to collecting as artists themselves, the mission for The Dean Collection, and much more with Kimberli Gant, our Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art.

Thank you for those inspiring 11+ minutes! We thank Alicia and Swizz for keep inspiring us on this collecting and advocating journey. We are a black couple in Brazil who own the "Lateral Galeria" (art gallery) and we've been working on show to the people the importance of own our culture. You are an inspiration for us! We also congratulate Brooklyn Museum for the exhibition and all the content you are producing about the exhibition. We would love to go see the show but I don't think we will get that chance, unfortunately. Anyway, we thank you all!! Congrats to the BkM team!

This is very positive, glad to see two native New Yorkers bringing black art to Brooklyn. But the cars and jewelry they post on social media? We know they're rich and do not need to know about those.

Yes beautiful....but they're California giants now.....their Cali mansion is .... beyond words.....
I'm all for black and proud for sure, black is definitely beautiful. But technically both swizz and Alicia are bi-racial black or multi-racial black (meaning mixed or black and another race) but all of their paintings seem to just be of fully black individuals. All I'm saying is don't forget about yourself. Being multi-racial black is a wonderful thing too. Cuz at the end of the day lets remember and keep it real, when your a mixed black individual, you will never be black enough for the black culture and you will never be white enough for the white culture, or Hispanic, Asian, native American, etc... So lets shine a light on our own culture of being multi-racial black as well. That's all I'm saying.

That was almost 20 years ago. You need to move on too and find your own happiness. Clearly they love each other ,they share the same interests and they work well together.
