I only play zombies. I haven't played multi-player since ghost. You start realizing that every year or two, a new cod comes out and it's not worth the grind time and time again. I enjoy the zombies because it's one and done and that's it. There's not much grinding, your just playing for fun and not to be better than others.
Also, Treyarch has cared to innovate on each zombies. World at war is different from Bo1. Bo 1 is greatly different from Bo 2, specially towards the end with Mob of the Dead and Origins. Bo 3 is insanely different from Bo 2. Same goes with Bo 3 to Bo 4, when they even changed the perk system entirely. And lastly, Cold War was also greatly different and innovated on the things it had to innovate while keeping the core mechanics. I have not played Bo 6 yet, but I've seen things like the player being able to transform into a zombie boss. You could argue that it is a positive or negative addition, however, you gotta respect Treyarch for atleast trying to innovate on each zombies game ever since they started doing them. That is majorly the complete opposite with Multiplayer, you can show me different cod's multiplayer(specially the recent ones) and they will look extremely similar.
And yet, since everyone can run that speed it doesn’t feel all that fast in a chase, melee is dead in that vs in mw2&3 you had to keep in mind what you had to go faster, now just pull the knife out and USAIN BOLT appears
i'm not really sure why he said the maps weren't three lane tbh, most of the maps are still three lane maps when you look at it, payback, derelict, vorkuta, protocol, lowtown, rewind, vault, skyline, and babylon are definitely three lane, red card is as well but it's curved and is so big that it doesn't flow well, the only ones i'd really say aren't three lane are scud and subsonic

There are certain games where SBMM is required even in casual. For example fortnite. If a tryhard comes to fight you you will learn NOTHING you will see walls constructed around you and then a pump shotgun after a build edit. But games like COD where the only difference in skill is movement and accuracy then SBMM isn't exactly necessary.
@elephantwaffle5612 And don't you know that Hunt Showdown, Rocket League and Overwatch are the three top games that I play. And all three games make me want to hate myself
Sbmm doesn’t cater to every possible player it actually is only here so the new people don’t immediately get off and never play again, it’s about those people that are garbage and their player retention instead of regulars or casuals such as yourself
My squad and I have had the opposite experience with skill based mm. We’ll play 10+ games in a row where we absolutely roll the other teams 6-0 in search or win by 200 in hardpoint, but once it kicks in our guns shoot marshmallows and we die in 3-4 bullets no matter what
First words I said to my brother when we got into a zombie match, "how many years has it been since we played a good zombies co op experience", and it was good I love it so far
WHY hasn't COD done a ZOMBIES ONLY option...... I hate multi-player cause of sweats and try hards, the campaign isn't fun after year number 6 of the same-ish stuff so why not give the option, for 50 bucks, to buy zombies and that comes with all NEW MAPS when they are released. I can't justify paying over 100 bucks for a game I'm only going to play 1/3 of.
Man for me the MW campaign (2019) was SO good and then they immediately dropped that style and now they fucking broke MW with updates. I can’t even play the campaign anymore and I’m so pissed about it. I loved the more real aspects of that MW. The night raid missions were so good.
@@Youngmuniii That’s facts. They’ve been leaning harder into that zoomer fortnite style of shooter ever since but what I wanted was for them to lean more into the grit and realism of MW 2019. Such a damn shame.
Black Ops 1 and 2 are the pinnacle. Black ops should have gone a different route with Black Ops 3 with new characters and set in the 70s, Black Ops 4 in the 80s, Black Ops 5 in the 90s, and Black Ops 6 would be the last one set during 9/11 and the 2000s. Black Ops should have been a series based solely on the conspiracies behind the US government.
I personally do have a love/hate relationship with zombies. I hate that it’s not closer to BO3 Zombies with the classic feel, but I love that you can get weapon progression on guns inside zombies. If you hit a new level and unlock a gun but you have zero attachments with it you can either spent some time in multiplayer with a nerf gun. Or take it into a zombies game and pack a punch it and make it gold, get to a high round using mainly that new gun and get it to like level 20ish then jump back into multiplayer and you’ll have that brand new gun with a bunch of decent attachments off the bat. Instead of getting slapped around in multiplayer for an hour trying to get a vertical grip and scope on your new gun

Your point at 9:50 about the SBMM is sooooooo accurate. Just leave it that way with ranked and casual lobbies and stop trying to make the game "fair" for newbies.
They seriously need to stop making Call Of Duty games. It’s becoming repetitive, tiring, & continuously annoying. Activision seriously needs work on a completely different and new IP and make that into its own franchise.
There was definitely a point in my life where I would have enjoyed bo6, but at this age, I wanna play video games to chill and with this movement you always gotta be 100% focused
CoD has one game mode, ranked. With how aggressive SBMM is, every match will feel the same. Unfortunate that they took the fun away with ranked only mode because the game actually feels great IMO.

Why can’t cod gives us a game that has no player base match making, all of the top maps from all of the cods, all the tops guns, no “skins” or digital currency etc, just pure Raw FPS that we all enjoyed back in MW2 and B01
I think the problem with sbmm is the connotation that ‘ranked’ will be sweaty no matter what, when really it should just be ‘your skill level’. If they put up a ‘do you want to learn, or do you want to be thrown in the deep end?’ type message, I think it would be much better. Getting stomped is an opportunity to learn how to get better, people just don’t want to put in the work. Also, the average player is just better today than the average player 10 years ago.
Agreed the average skill level is higher. Disagree that people need to put in the work. Some people have 9-5’s or a social life and want to play the game casually. Imagine people who have two jobs, are they really going to put in loads of effort to get better? Why can’t they just enjoy the game at their level of commitment?
@@Agency_Anon oh let me clarify. I’m not thinking that the “want to learn?” side would be work. It would be the super casual, play at your level. But if you did want to learn, that’s what the ranking system is for. To allow you to start pushing yourself to high levels. If you want to go back to super casual, drop back down a couple levels and get super relaxed again. Edit: maybe it would help to change the term “ranked” to “matched”

We spawncamped an entire clan on subsonic in hardcore hardpoint until they quit because the game spawned them within knife distance to us. They should let us vote on maps we want to see return, and let us design maps for them because clearly they can't.

So one thing about the halo ranked system. 20 years ago that worked. Today what happens is after a short period of time those sweats in ranked will just go to the non ranked playlist and kill little Timmy for having the audacity to be new. Gaming isn’t the same as it used to be. No one really respects the shift in player behavior over the years. It’s not some random coincidence that it’s crept in to all games. It’s been statistically proven for years now. People just don’t want to hear it. And no company wants to sacrifice a game to prove a point they know they are right on.
Here’s why you’re wrong in just a few sentences. I’m better than my friend, when we play together he consistently goes 10-20 below positive while I go 5-10 above. As soon as we part ways he goes even and I go even for the most part.

The only multiplayer grinds I ever cared about were MW2, BO1, and MW3. Everything else after that was slop

The movement is insanely fast. I feel like im constantly on crack running around

i'm not really sure why he said the maps weren't three lane tbh, most of the maps are still three lane maps when you look at it, payback, derelict, vorkuta, protocol, lowtown, rewind, vault, skyline, and babylon are definitely three lane, red card is as well but it's curved and is so big that it doesn't flow well, the only ones i'd really say aren't three lane are scud and subsonic

Hunt Showdown is one of those games where SBMM is needed. Things can get out of hand really quickly
RL is another game where some sort of sbmm is necessary even in casual
@elephantwaffle5612 And don't you know that Hunt Showdown, Rocket League and Overwatch are the three top games that I play. And all three games make me want to hate myself
10 seconds in and he’s already answered the question
Sbmm doesn’t cater to every possible player it actually is only here so the new people don’t immediately get off and never play again, it’s about those people that are garbage and their player retention instead of regulars or casuals such as yourself
I'm liking this recent trend of Charlie answering the question in the title within the first few seconds
My squad and I have had the opposite experience with skill based mm. We’ll play 10+ games in a row where we absolutely roll the other teams 6-0 in search or win by 200 in hardpoint, but once it kicks in our guns shoot marshmallows and we die in 3-4 bullets no matter what

Black ops 2 had none of the conspiracy things though, it was semi futuristic so bo3 did feel like a logical next step. The campaign was just terrible.
@ that would be the one to stand out for being a bit different, it did touch on CIA operations during the Soviet Afghan War though and Panama!!!
Black ops 3 is perfect.
@@لاإلهإلاالله-ر8ع it’s a good game. But it should not have been part 3 of the series. It’s more of a part 7.
