It starts as a slice of life parody of mafia stories, then turns into an actual shonen when real mafiosis take stage. The anime didn't adapt last 2 arcs.

actually it was supposed to be a pure slice of life and comedy series with a mafia theme but the anime didn't do to well and that's why it turned into the typical superpower kind of anime.
reborn is my favorite anime, it has a bit of a slow start, but once it gets started, oh man once it pick up the pace its top tier.

Flash Facts:
- The manga is complete BUT they have NOT adapted the last arc. Just like what happened with Bleach.
- AJ doing random guesses but he caught a couple of important things like the rings and the chibis BUT he completely r/whoosh something EXTREMELY important.......
- Like people have mentioned already, this series was supposed to be a comedy action BUT the mangaka(which If I am not mistaken was a woman) decided to change it to more action and shounen-like. The transition is when the person "with the Uchiha eye" shows up.

this was the first manga i have ever read because the rest wasn't animated (and thank god cause the art style is amazing and its what made me transition from anime to manga). funny thing mans can't even say like bleach anymore cause that shit is getting an anime for the final season wooot wooot.

100% am up for you watching this series 😂, my top 3 favorite most underrated Shonen. It came out like same time as Naruto so 2000s. It starts off as a comedy slice of life anime, but then gets into the more serious and storytelling aspect of it, the characters are amazing and loved it so much, hope you watch it 😂

katekyo hitman reborn is on my top 10 animes of all times i would recomend watching it but just like black clover its a little slow at the start i would say more slow than black clover because is more of a slice of life type of anime the first like 15 episodes but after that it gets pretty good you should maybe try it to see if it interest you man

Looking at this video in my notifications gave me such a nostalgic feeling. KHR was the second anime I watched when I became a weeb and one of my favorite shonens, a pity that was canceled. Such an underrated show :(
This deserves a reaction more then most reactions out there, it’s a great mafia anime.
The anime and manga are both done, but the last manga arc was never made into an anime as far as I'm aware, which is a shame cause the last arc of the manga was my favorite.

The show is technically over, there are two more arcs in the manga but then never got put to the anime. 2 more war arcs.
Don't like the anime finish first before the manga just like Fullmetal Alchemist first anime and they just have to create they own story for FMA. Edit: it me from the future and i have no idea what the actual fuck i just write 2 months ago

This is one of my favorite animes although is so underrated. It starts slow but it gets better and better as is goes on. There are good fights, good characters and it's also very funny at some points. I would love to see someone react to it.
I would really love it if more reactors got into or at least tried Hitman Reborn. It's so underappreciated and definitely underrated in all of shounen. Make that readaptation please 🙏🏻

Dying Will Flames are graded according to their purity, which has a direct relationship with the strength of an individual's resolve, this makes the purity of a flame basically a reflection of the strength and size of a person's determination. Among other things, this rate of purity serves to indicate how much of the special characteristics of the Flames are being drawn out. According to Fuuta, flames with a high level of purity are clear and bright, and that the greater the purity of the Flame, the more power can be drawn from it. Each Flame's attribute has its own special characteristic.
A person's Flame attribute is determined at the moment of their birth, and although there are individuals who possess more than one type of Flame, it is not possible to learn to use another type of Flame through training.

Chibis are called The Arcobaleno is a group made up of the world's strongest seven. They are the I Prescelti Sette, lit. "the chosen seven"
The rings are the Vongola family rings

There are 7 rings, one for the boss and 6 for the guardians. Sky, cloud, rain, sun, mist, storm, lightning.
Animals came from box weapons they have one of each from their elements.
One of the guardian, lambo the chibi with afro hair. He has a 10yrs bazooka and if he enters it it will explode and lambo from ten yrs will come out, 25 yrs old lambo came out in one of the episode of hitman reborn. The story is about the training of the 10th generation family.

I'm SO happy you did this, KHR is one of my first and one my fav shounen, you will really enjoy the anime and the manga has 2 more arcs that never got adapted.

Nice guesses. U got many points covered. This anime/manga started off as a proper Gag manga, but after few episodes is started to shift towards action. Series is complete but there was still one arc left which in my opinions was best and many of the questions were answered.

I really like your blind opening policy combined with how perceptive you are, I suppose mostly due to already being into anime to start with
So this show is actually one of my favorites, but there are some problems in getting people into it:
-first, the 203 eps amount can be quite intimidating (about 1/3 more than hxh)
and specially for a reaction channel, since many do a once a week thing, they would take almost 4 years to complete it
-secondly, because the manga started as a gag manga (so school life with comedy) and then turned into a battle shonen manga
because of this, the people that give it a try are looking for the battle shonen but are met with the gag almost-episodic show at the beginning (and sometimes in-between arcs in the anime) instead and get kinda let down with the show before it ramps up
PS: 2nd opening is my favorite (idk if is just cause I like the music, because is the beginning of my favorite arc or maybe a bit of both)
i watched this when i was a teen and the only names i remember are hibari and yamamoto, they were my favorites
There's an opening missed. Like how the first opening had a part 2, opening 6 has an alternate animation that completely highlights the chibis since it's during that arc that we get more background
I just know I have to watch this when I saw the notificationXD
And also, this anime is about a mafia and the rainbow(in many many ways than anyone could think of)
And with the Chibi characters, like all the Chibi characters that can be seen in the while series, only two of them are actual children... "No major time jumps" haha I just have to laugh at thatXD
And also, yeah the show ended a few years ago just when the things are getting much better(in the manga), but still a great anime

It seems people here on RUclips only know about shounen anime that aired in NA back when internet was still a baby and there was no streaming. But there are other great ones that were around in the early 2000-2010s that deserve love, like Hitman Reborn and D.Gray-Man.
Edit: Also, the artist is the same one who does the character designs for Psycho Pass.

Literally today I was looking into that openings video and to see you react to feels so strange. I really hope Reborn gets picked up by more people. It was underrated here in America and the rest of West. It was popular in Japan to have 203 episodes. So don't think it's a short anime.

I'm actually glad you got curious about his powers. Alot of people think that he's a fire user, and I don't blame em, but that's not the case here. I won't spoil much, but the power system here is Dying Will Flames. It's your resolve manifested to an aura that can exemplify your powers. The only reason why people think Tsuna (the main character) is fire based is because he can burn things, but that's only because his powers have the destruction properties of fire. That's why people always use Tsuna vs Natsu debates lol
Just for clarification the anime is based on the main character tsuna the 10th mafia boss from their family the rings are a main focus for their abilities as for the characters you thought were their brothers or fathers are from the future arc when they get older by 10 years really interesting anime would recommend it if you have no anime to watch they did change it to action from the comedy anime in the first season
The show is about a guy who is the descendant of a mafia boss in Italy, but it takes place in Japan. The chibi are basically the kids in this show, from 1 to 5 years old, the kids looks like chibi. And the main chibi is an assassin that has to teach to the main protagonist to be a mafia boss. So he creates his own family and then fights against villains... So is a classic shonen. I don't spoil you nothing else.

This is one of my favorite anime, top 5 for sure, this is pure nostalgia for me and an anime/mange I revisit between shows and updating chapters. This show was aired from 2006 to 2010 with 203 episodes, a slow build but after the 25th episode it gets good. Also, the manga had 2 more arcs that were never animated where some of your questions are answered.
It tells the story of tsuna and reborn. Reborn (the baby) is a hitman hired to train tsuna to become the next leader of the vongola family( yes a mafia family). Reborn has the appearence of a baby because he is under a curse that turned him and others to babys. The rings are a representation of the seven flames of heaven and the next generation of guardians of the vongola family each one having his own. Tsuna( guardian of the heaven) takeshi( guardian of therain) lambo( guardian of the thunder) hayato( guardian of the storm) hibari ( guardian of the cloud) ryohei( guardian of the sun) and chrome (guardian of the mist).
If you're wondering what the "27" on his headgear/headset and his clothes is, it is a play on the MC's nickname which is Tsuna. Tsu which is a japanese way of saying Two and Na which is Seven (nana). I hope you react to this amazing anime.

There's definitely good laughs on Hitman Reborn. One of those series that most so call anime fans don't know about. Before anime got popular in the west. It start as a comedy action on the classic high school set up but the end is pretty crazy. Multiverse Crazy to be exact.
Yes, they are chibi version of themselves. But that's part of the plot so you need to read/watch it to know more.

absolutely recommended this is my childhood anime
This series ran from 2006 to 2010 with the manga running from 2004 to 2012. The two final arcs of the manga never made it into the anime. Like many series during that time period they were more focused on keeping viewership than remaining true to the manga, and thus many episodes and even entire "arcs" are anime only filler arcs. Even so, this series is my favorite of all time. The characters are so believable for their reasons for fighting, I love pretty much all the characters in this show, and during it's peak it was outperforming series like Naruto and One Piece in manga sales. I am absolutely "deathperate" for this series to get a reboot in order to cut down on all that fluff and filler and to be able to finish the final two arcs. OP2 is my fave as well. The rings play a huge part, and the elements associated to them all reference weather related incidents under the "sky". The sky ring is the boss's ring, and their team consists of storm, rain, lightning, sun, cloud and mist as the other elements, each with their own defined fighting styles and attributes. It's really well done.

I can't understate how much I want to see you watch this show. It starts slow, but it picks up really quick. It's so goood. Also, this show got the HunterXHunter treatment of never getting a finished anime adaptation despite the manga finishing. There’s about 3 arcs that were never animated, which is a real shame, since those last arc are absolutely incredible.

He's not older...just Hyper Dying Will Mode. It brings out his calm and serious nature. ^^ And not Chibis, they're actually the strongest babies (adults) in the KHR world. ^^ Rings are the one of the most important items in the series. Lol I love this series~
