I feel like people have seriously slept on just how utterly _subversive_ Reborn was for its time. This was in the midst of the Naruto-Bleach-One Piece explosion, after all. An entire generation of Anime fans at this time were essentially raised on the media born in the fallout of specifically the _Gohan vs Cell_ fight of DBZ. You know, the one where a kid who doesn't like to fight is forced to fight an omnicidal supervillain for no reason other than to, in the most unflattering terms, _make him less of a wimp._ This was the character arc people grew to expect in the following years, this was what people took away from that fight: every kid should want to be the strongest most violent warrior in the world, and if he _(and it is always HE)_ doesn't like that stuff then there must be something _wrong_ with him. It took _decades_ for this sort of attitude to wane among shonen anime fans. In that light, writing a story about how it's fine that the main boy is fine with being a wimp, that he just wants to hang out with his friends, how the mafia is still _the mafia_ who kill people for money and you shouldn't think they're automatically the coolest dudes in existence just because they have the magical shonen powers--all that is practically _open rebellion_ in a market saturated with what are essentially "Child Soldiers Are Good and Cool Actually" stories.

Reborn! is disgustingly underrated. The series still gets massive love in Japan. They have their own festival, live stages, etc. Akira Amano acknowledges this, but still no word or even mention of the series. It definitely deserves a reboot. Still my favorite shounen, hands down

Reborn is a basically a blueprint for My Hero Academia, it’s a revolutionary anime. Before there was Class 1-A, there was the 10th Vongola Family. (P.s I knew this show when I was 13.)
A lot of people said that MHA was initially inspired by Reborn, although I don't think that's ever confirmed to my knowledge. But I can somehow understand why people see some similar elements to these two series.

Katekyo Hitman Reborn is underated but unforgettable by those who still adore it. Tsuna is a personal favorite and I will never stop not liking this shounen even with all it's flaws. It's charming and the character designs are well done. The soundtrack for the anime is also great and definitely sets the tones they were going for. The art style at first was shakey but not at all bad.
I think Reborn is a relic that could do with some tweaking to fit the current time, it has so many good plot points and arcs that are dumbed down just a little bit too much, it really suffers from the downright ridiculously placed gags at points and it really shows its age it was made. I would love a remake regardless but i feel like this series could have a massive power up just from a few small changes that wouldn't effect the main story. Love hitman so much and just want to see it get a bit more love.
That's the thing, it has a really good blueprint that publishers just need to support. The Flame of the Sky system, The Mafia theme, The time-travel and foreshadowing, Hidden bases. There's some real good stuff here. They just need to refine it like not shying away from blood, less cheesy fight scenes, expanding the lore and powers, etc etc. I think this is a lot more creative than Demon Slayer with the generic ass samurai and power system so I don't get why this one isn't appreciated.
me and my friends used to be obsessed with this show back in 2012. we'd make crude animations related to it, we'd shove it down everyone's throats and talk about it every day. nowadays that's all i remember from that time

Shaman King is getting a reboot. I hope Katekyo Hitman Reborn gets one as well. Tsuna along with Deku and Mob are my favorite characters in all of Shonen Battle Anime just because of how relatable they are to me.

I’m currently watching reborn as we speak and I can say it’s hands down becoming one of my favs , and watching this video really did make me emotional bc there isn’t that much ppl who like to give underrated anime a chance. I hope one day we can get a remake and I heard the anime missed out the last 2 arcs in the manga so WE NEED TO BRING IT BACK. If we can give reborn a remake I can guarantee the fandom will grow massively bc of the new animation while tusuna looking badass in his hyper dying will mode (with demon slayer/ jujutsu kaisen graphics). I’m also really hoping we get him In jump force bc recently a really old anime just got a remake and most ppl havent heard of its name in a long time but they saw the charater in jump force and asked for a remake which they got. Man it hasn’t been that long since I finished watching the series, but when a few years go by, hopefully there’ll be a revival. Because I really enjoyed the series, even the filler episodes.
Year 2021--I had some nostalgic feelings come back and I decided to search videos of KHR returning. Sadly, I could not find any! However, your video allowed me to remember those middle school years as well. Now, I want to re-watch the show and place this comment as a marker to, one day maybe, inform me that they are continuing the manga again.
Katekyo hitman reborn was the first manga I ever read, although the art didn't suit my taste at the time and I almost dropped it because of the art style. I later gave it another chance and I can proudly say I Love it and I am glad I gave it a chance 😁😁😁

Yeah me too, love it already repeat it for four time Hibari still being tsundere and badass there I really like when him either insult or compliment tsuna being a weak animal yet telling that weak animal strong that is why many of them still exist(because he said weak animal something like poison to protect themselves and yet he didn't need it that is why his strong) he so handsome😝 So I promoted the manga to my sibling cause they also love the anime But still they said they can't understand it, only someone with complicated brain can understand(they said to me) So am I complicated?
I used to be so dissapointed by the manga's ending, mostly due to the fact that I had the luck to follow the manga while it was being published weekly in the Shonen Jump, but once I read it from beginning to end, it's actually a pretty decent ending. Specially after reading some HORRIBLE ending that most of its contemporary shonen had. I don't want to disrespect Naruto fans for example, but KHR ending was criticized a lot while Naruto's ending was by far worse but people kinda forgave it dunno why
Same here at first I hated the ending because I felt it should’ve showed tsuna as the boss but now even though I still feel it was rushed , i felt the creator wanted to lead us off with the impression that tsuna and his friends adventures will forever continue leaving us to imagine their future
@@kashrimu6148 i do think it was rushed because of Jump's policy, i remember that time the chapters didn't ranked that well on ToCs. But even so it was a good ending, each guardian was well developed and most of the plot was covered. It could be better? Of course, but it could be worse too.
Eh still disappointed after we finally got some character progression from Tsuna in the Shimon Familia arc. Where if Tsuna were to accept being the Mafioso boss, it would be some kind of reform to make it a safe haven for his friends and family, and how he poured his heart and own reasoning to continue being in the Vongola was just a simple act of kindness to save his friends. Not some shady political grab of power or control
@Marco Ignacio Cubides Domínguez but KHR was a popular Shonen back then. Of course it wasn't as popular as Naruto or One Piece but its Volumes used to have great numbers, it was only rushed due to not ranking well in Jump's stupid ToC, same happened to Bleach.
I think I’ve rewatched KHR five or six times now throughout the years. That’s how good it is. It’s my all time favorite shounen anime. Only My Hero Academia is a close second. That says a lot.

Been a fan of this anime since 2012. It was my first anime actually, and it holds a very special place in my heart. What I would GIVE for this anime to get a reboot!
I have mixed opinions about the Daily Life Arc, though having rewatched it fairly recently I've grown to appreciate it much more. My only real critique of it is honestly some of the cuts that were made from it. For anyone who doesn't know, the Daily life arc in the anime is much shorter than the one in the manga and there was a lot that was from it or even redistributed throughout the anime in between the major arcs to offer a reprieve here and there. But there's three particular chapters from the manga that I don't think should of been cut out. The chapters I'm talking about are chapter 61 Promotion, chapter 6 Russian Roulette and chapter 5 Yamamoto Takeshi. These three chapters give some very interesting insight into the characters of Gokudera, Kyoko and Yamamoto respectively. Especially on Yamamotos part. I won't go into it much more in case y'all haven't read these chapters and want to, but I just don't think they should of been cut from the show. Anyways, lil rant aside. Great job on the video! And I'm so glad to see you're making more KHR content, I'm absolutely here for it.
Yeah, those were actually my nitpicks to it, is that the anime did not fully adapt the entire story of the manga (aside from the Inheritance Ceremony Arc and the Curse of the Rainbow Arc.. which I hope it happens soon). It was basically some crucial chapters that people have missed, for example in the Anime; Yamamoto joined because he is "interested in the mafia game" while in the manga, he joined because Tsuna saved his life from suicide (which btw was a very crucial part of his relationship with Tsuna). The reason as to why those were cut was beyond me... My best guess was that Reborn at the time of its airing in 2006 may have been intended for Kids back than and they decided to cut some explicit chapters to make it "kid friendly" but that's just my best guess. All in all; The Manga of the Daily Life Arc is arguably better and more deeper in terms of story from what I've seen and I'm sure some people would agree, but the anime does have its charming moments while growing up.. Thank you very much, I genuinely appreciate comments like this, It makes me want to keep going and do more Reborn videos; although I'm actually planning on covering other things in the future-but alas Reborn is still my main content focus for sure. I intend to keep going and continue to do more Reborn videos since my last Tsuna vid was well received ❤️ The part that makes me extremely worried is that I just have to be *very* careful since RUclips (and Marvelous) tend to take these videos down the moment I least expect it.. I got really lucky without being copyrighted last time, I hope it dosent happen to me in this one. 😅
@@Red.Decimo Yes! Exactly, the whole thing with Yamamoto bothers me so much because it completely changes his and Tsunas dynamic and even his character development in some ways. Especially contextually when he confronts Gokudera later on about being reckless, It just changes so much. I recently rewatched the entire anime series with my older cousin who'd never seen it before and while we were watching the Daily Life Arc I told him to go read the three chapters I mentioned above. And he was actually shocked by just how much more depth those chapters gave to the characters and their dynamics with Tsuna. Yamamoto is a given, but the Russian Roulette chapter gives us a rare Kyoko character moment where she proves herself to be a genuinely kinda person who cares for Tsuna. And the Promotion chapter is, in my opinion anyways, the true starting point of Gokuderas character arc and the development of his and Tsunas friendship. Honestly, even just those 3 chapters already make the manga Daily Life arc better. Though only just, the Naito Longchamp story line was kinda hard for me to get through and I'm glad they cut that part at least in the anime. Naito is honestly the only character in the whole series I found actually annoying. And no prob man! I love KHR and have a lot to say about and large amount of knowledge about the world and lore so I always like it when I get to talk about it a bit. @@Red.Decimo Tbh one of my favourite things about the dynamic between Gokudera, Tsuna and Yamamoto is that at the start of the series they all have the same basic issue and their arcs are all very similar, the only difference is how they react to their issues and how they express them.
Unfortunately that was the biggest censor they added. Other smaller things like Gokudera’s cigarettes, most of the guns (leon ended up being reborn’s only gun) amongst a few were taken out for obvious reasons but with Yamamoto, unfortunately the suicide thing, while definitely emotional in that moment, was more of a dark humor thing (kind of like Dazai in Bungou Stay dogs). You can Bc it’s literally never brought up again but also it goes along with Yamamoto being an extreme Japanese stereotype.
@@Miyanoai14 Mhmmm, definitely it wasn't the most well handled topic from the manga but at the time it was written suicide and depression were still very stigmatized topics to try and cover and I've seen worse ways it's been handled. You can actually see how this event affects Yamamotos perspective throughout the series. Especially when he's interacting with Gokudera during the future arc. What I wish they had done with the chapter, is adapted it into the anime but taken it a bit more seriously and handled the topic with more care and attention. There's a lot of aspects of the show that I think would be really interesting to see getting more attention if they ever do a reboot. Because the show actually has a lot of themes regarding mental health and learning to heal with the help of others. I'd love to see a reboot where we spend more time with Hayatos family, and more actively discuss both his trust and abandonment issues that were a result of this family. I'd love to see Tsunas strained relationship with Iemitsu get properly addressed, developed, and resolved. And Tsuna being allowed to properly work through what he's been put through. And of course I'd really like to see Yamamotos depression be a more actively developed part of his character and his character arc. I know a lot of people think his depression might of been triggered by his moms death, but we don't know that for sure since we don't even get to hear about his mom like at all. Point is, I just really want a KHR reboot where they still follow the same plot point and story structure, but also don't shy away from the more complex themes that the original series had, but never fully developed/explored.
This entire video is a love letter to Katekyo Hitman Reborn......and I'm here for it 🥰 I'm sure MANY of us who grew up watching KHR are well into our adulthood. Maybe it's the nostalgia speaking, but I truly agree that KHR is the best shonen anime ever. Albeit, some of the gags and stereotypes used in the anime were a tad cringy. But at the same time, you really get to see the characters grow and develop over time. Varia Arc is one of the best anime arcs ever. The way they introduced the antagonists, how the battles were formulated and executed, the way it was resolved. Truly ahead of its time! The start of future arc was really great as well, but I got to agree, it was dragged on for way too long. I believe most of us were just waiting to see TYL Tsuna hahaha.

I just hope they'll do a remake. I've watched the anime many times. This vid makes me want to rewatch it or read the manga (read only small part of arco baleno arc). I wanted to buy the manga but learned that VIZ media only released volumes 1 - 16.
I watched this anime when i was 10 at first then forgot about it for a while and then rewatched it finished in november. i enjoyed it so much so read the manga and loved it but got disapointed for the ending
At least it didn't turn into lame rom com anime, throughout the manga/anime there's only at least 5% of those scenes. I also agree that the ending is kinda lacking but its pretty much fine and a good conclusion for the story.
I so agree the manga needs a sequel and the inheritance arc and curse of the rainbow arc need animated we held out for so long and Bleach's final arc is getting animated it can happen with Hitman Reborn 😄😆

Yay for more Reborn content! I always follow you and Saru on Twitter (despite not having my own) for my daily dose of Reborn :D Love to see fellow passionate fans for KHR~ Darn, the final section. Seeing all of the tweets and posts from various people around the world just showing their support for Reborn made me emotional. I swear, when (not IF) Reborn comes back, I will cry my happiest tears! I want to add one thing to all of this too. When you watch Rebocon Lives, everyone there all seem like a family. Granted the live performances aren't as polished as some of the ones I've seen. It's awkward and chaotic at parts but it feels genuine. Especially, Kokubun-san (Tsuna's VA) and Neeko. At the end of their final song of their final concert, it just fills my heart seeing Neeko and Kokubun-san happy and sad that it's all over. That being said, that, and the friendship that Reborn (the series) itself teaches helped create the community that Reborn has which has been so wholesome and chaotic as far as I've seen which makes KHR all the more special! Anyway, thanks for the vid!
Anything Reborn related has a charm to it, and that's pretty much what makes it great for us ❤️ It has chaoticly good moments and all, even the recent stageplays I can think people can look back at it and admire it for what it is. To be honest, as though as hopeless as it seems that the series just isn't coming back, I still think that it would eventually come back soon (perhaps in one of the anniversaries). So long as it's reputation continues to maintain in Japan, it's not as dead as it was surprisingly. No guarantee so all we can do is cross our fingers 🔥
when I graduate I will work (am working) towards opening an animation studio and work on my own long running cartoon, and I also really want to buy hitman reborn to either continue it or to remake it (in Japanese of course)

reborn has been a very underrated anime and it was my childhood. I'm just wondering why new anime fans don't want to watch it. when all in all it's a masterpiece not to mention unique from any other animes out there, the OST, the character design, it is almost perfect. I just wish that there might be a company to pick this anime up and work for its new season nor at least give it a reboot, I badly miss the Vongolas. especially the cute little cow Lambo.
I recently recommending my friends to watch this. Because I know the series concept is interesting. Most of them never knew this series... Very sad actually. I even made a quiz, just for fun, that will determine your Dying Will Flames attributes. It took me a few weeks to research and decide what questions to be ask. But then I have to calculate the results manually. XD

Totally agree with you on 1st S of the Anime, because it shows more there, which does play out later on, have heard some RUclipsrs say to ignore the 1st S, go straight into the 2nd. You learn so much from the 1st 2 Seasons, then small season 3, season 4 with what happens there, almost hits you like a brick, what happens there also pays off in season 5. I never expected Reborn to be my favorite anime like number 1 favorite over a plethora of others. When I first saw Reborn I wasn't initially drawn to it, but that was because I was new to anime so I just so happened to add it to my watch list and that was one of the best decision I made at 14 yrs old. At the time I saw lots of similarities between myself and Tsuna which made it real easy to get into Reborn. Besides that the characters, power system, the fights, the story, the visuals, the anime openings & endings plus the rest of the sound track just made me fall in love with the series. It's thanks to Reborn that I started my own story based on Reborn and create an OC with similar powers like Tsuna and other flame users. All in all this anime Reborn deserves to make a comeback whether to dub the anime, animate the last remaining arcs from the manga, go beyond the end of the manga or all of the above. Let's hope we get to see the 10th Generation Vongola Family once more 😁

You mentioned some crucial developments points for Chrome/Yamamoto. In the manga, which chapter would I find that in? (I'm going to be re-reading it after the Byakuran fight in the anime)
Starting off with Yamamoto, his character introduction in the Manga Adaptation during the Daily Life Arc was significantly different compared to the Anime, it was as soon as he was introduced (Chapter 4,5 or 6 I believe), once you reach those parts, keep in mind, it's pretty dark... Chrome however, I don't remember which chapter it was but I think it does revolve around her past which was explained more in the manga than in the anime, which by the way, fun fact: Chrome spoke Italian twice in the manga, first when she introduced herself on her first appearance (Ch: 113), and then when she invaded Merone Base before saving Gokudera (Ch:189). However, these were replaced with Japanese in the anime.... For whatever reason.
For me it was the gag eps in the beginning that made me give up on episode like episode 5 years ago I would always see AMV fight clips on RUclips and wondered how it went from these boring ass episodes to these intense fights soo a couple months ago I decided to binge it and once you get to episode 20 where things started to get interesting for me before I knew it I was on episode 200 finishing the manga and now one of my favorite anime’s. From this I learned that patience is key and I recommend all of y’all to finish it if you gave up even though there is so slow/boring moments between arcs it’s still worth it if you enjoy gag comedy
One of the best anime that is really close to my heart and currently re-watching it for I really miss all of the characters. The characters who you love to hate and hate to love at the same time (if that makes sense). This anime REALLY REALLY needs a reboot or continuation.

This show and manga NEEDS to come back right now in the process of watching the anime and me knowing that the anime and manga ended on a bad note is so frustrating and plus the reason it’s like this cause it got axed at a random time and this anime/manga could have had better potential if it didn’t get axed if viz media let it run a bit more longer it could have been picked up again.
Possibly, Considering that Amano is the only person who can bring the anime back or at least give permission to an anime studio to bring the anime back. It's been 10 years so far and nobody knows if it would or when would it actually come back. At this point, only time will tell.

Yeah, odds are rather slim that it may seem very unlikely, although I'm not ashamed to admit.. I am actually still hopeful that it could come back eventually when we least expect it. At least that's what I think. But to be honest, I doubt popularity would be a big issue considering the fact that it's still being advertised frequently in Japan so it's not entirely impossible

the first time i watched katekyo hitman reborn was in 2010 , and damn it was an absolute blast ! i absolutely loved the deathperation flame power system ( it's among my favorite PS in anime with stands , nen and innocence ) , the varia arc is one of the best arcs in shonen in my opinion , the characters are likable as hell ( even lambo lol ) , my favorite is the goat hibari kyoya who's also my first cosplay ever , i'm so waiting for the anime to come back and animate the simone arc and curse of the arcobaleno arc , a reboot also is a good idea like just imagine with Jujutsu kaisen's animation... it will blow up the shonen landscape. Reborn is an absolute banger if a shonen and it indeed deserves more attention , thanks for this video !
The plot is so more complex than most people imagine. The Arcobaleno is such a interesting idea, so is Kawahira and Sephira. Bermuda and the Vindice. All Flame Lore and Guardians Bonds and Sky Harmony. How rare Sky Flames are and how coveted are them. Ricardo's usurpation. Daemon's betrayal and the Shimon Famiglia. Giotto's escape to Japan. Xanxus's whole story and the Varia and Ottabio's betrayal. The Ring Battles, Timoteo's visit and the seal. Sawada _fucking_ Iemitsu being a awful parent. Nono's manipulations and Tsuna lowkey being a puppet. Reborn's schemes and tests for 'training' Tsuna are interesting to watch, if not frustating because I kinda hate the character.
My first favourite anime, as someone without tv cause my parent, the anime that my brother give me, this is the first anime I gotta fall in deep story line His manga also, really do love it , I don't know where the aspect it being rush is... What I know is I had to repeat for second time just to fully understand the story Now I already repeat the anime and manga every year
D.Gray-Man is definitely another hidden gem, like with Reborn it also deserves the praise that it needs But yeah.. Maybe hopefully we'll get to that road soon as I believe new chapters are still being updated

I feel like people have seriously slept on just how utterly _subversive_ Reborn was for its time. This was in the midst of the Naruto-Bleach-One Piece explosion, after all. An entire generation of Anime fans at this time were essentially raised on the media born in the fallout of specifically the _Gohan vs Cell_ fight of DBZ. You know, the one where a kid who doesn't like to fight is forced to fight an omnicidal supervillain for no reason other than to, in the most unflattering terms, _make him less of a wimp._ This was the character arc people grew to expect in the following years, this was what people took away from that fight: every kid should want to be the strongest most violent warrior in the world, and if he _(and it is always HE)_ doesn't like that stuff then there must be something _wrong_ with him. It took _decades_ for this sort of attitude to wane among shonen anime fans.
In that light, writing a story about how it's fine that the main boy is fine with being a wimp, that he just wants to hang out with his friends, how the mafia is still _the mafia_ who kill people for money and you shouldn't think they're automatically the coolest dudes in existence just because they have the magical shonen powers--all that is practically _open rebellion_ in a market saturated with what are essentially "Child Soldiers Are Good and Cool Actually" stories.
What we need is a remastered right of remaster does well we can get the rest after 201 I think how many episodes they are

Reborn! is disgustingly underrated. The series still gets massive love in Japan. They have their own festival, live stages, etc. Akira Amano acknowledges this, but still no word or even mention of the series. It definitely deserves a reboot. Still my favorite shounen, hands down

Reborn is a basically a blueprint for My Hero Academia, it’s a revolutionary anime. Before there was Class 1-A, there was the 10th Vongola Family. (P.s I knew this show when I was 13.)
A lot of people said that MHA was initially inspired by Reborn, although I don't think that's ever confirmed to my knowledge.
But I can somehow understand why people see some similar elements to these two series.

Katekyo Hitman Reborn is underated but unforgettable by those who still adore it. Tsuna is a personal favorite and I will never stop not liking this shounen even with all it's flaws. It's charming and the character designs are well done. The soundtrack for the anime is also great and definitely sets the tones they were going for. The art style at first was shakey but not at all bad.

I think Reborn is a relic that could do with some tweaking to fit the current time, it has so many good plot points and arcs that are dumbed down just a little bit too much, it really suffers from the downright ridiculously placed gags at points and it really shows its age it was made. I would love a remake regardless but i feel like this series could have a massive power up just from a few small changes that wouldn't effect the main story. Love hitman so much and just want to see it get a bit more love.
That's the thing, it has a really good blueprint that publishers just need to support. The Flame of the Sky system, The Mafia theme, The time-travel and foreshadowing, Hidden bases. There's some real good stuff here.
They just need to refine it like not shying away from blood, less cheesy fight scenes, expanding the lore and powers, etc etc. I think this is a lot more creative than Demon Slayer with the generic ass samurai and power system so I don't get why this one isn't appreciated.
Not the music tho, keep that back in the 2000s-2010s!

me and my friends used to be obsessed with this show back in 2012. we'd make crude animations related to it, we'd shove it down everyone's throats and talk about it every day. nowadays that's all i remember from that time

Shaman King is getting a reboot. I hope Katekyo Hitman Reborn gets one as well. Tsuna along with Deku and Mob are my favorite characters in all of Shonen Battle Anime just because of how relatable they are to me.

In jump force bc recently a really old anime just got a remake and most ppl havent heard of its name in a long time but they saw the charater in jump force and asked for a remake which they got. I'm in a good hope that the anime does have a chance to come back eventually (since it's popularity in Japan became huge compared to the west)and yes, That is true actually, the Anime did not fully adapt the full story of the manga which than left out two arcs *(those were really good by the way)* I believe if it hits into a 20th anniversary and if the series products sell well, I'm almost positive it could get a reboot... Hopefully.

Year 2021--I had some nostalgic feelings come back and I decided to search videos of KHR returning. Sadly, I could not find any! However, your video allowed me to remember those middle school years as well. Now, I want to re-watch the show and place this comment as a marker to, one day maybe, inform me that they are continuing the manga again.
Katekyo hitman reborn was the first manga I ever read, although the art didn't suit my taste at the time and I almost dropped it because of the art style. I later gave it another chance and I can proudly say I Love it and I am glad I gave it a chance 😁😁😁

I used to be so dissapointed by the manga's ending, mostly due to the fact that I had the luck to follow the manga while it was being published weekly in the Shonen Jump, but once I read it from beginning to end, it's actually a pretty decent ending. Specially after reading some HORRIBLE ending that most of its contemporary shonen had. I don't want to disrespect Naruto fans for example, but KHR ending was criticized a lot while Naruto's ending was by far worse but people kinda forgave it dunno why
Same here at first I hated the ending because I felt it should’ve showed tsuna as the boss but now even though I still feel it was rushed , i felt the creator wanted to lead us off with the impression that tsuna and his friends adventures will forever continue leaving us to imagine their future
@@kashrimu6148 i do think it was rushed because of Jump's policy, i remember that time the chapters didn't ranked that well on ToCs. But even so it was a good ending, each guardian was well developed and most of the plot was covered. It could be better? Of course, but it could be worse too.

Eh still disappointed after we finally got some character progression from Tsuna in the Shimon Familia arc. Where if Tsuna were to accept being the Mafioso boss, it would be some kind of reform to make it a safe haven for his friends and family, and how he poured his heart and own reasoning to continue being in the Vongola was just a simple act of kindness to save his friends. Not some shady political grab of power or control
@Marco Ignacio Cubides Domínguez but KHR was a popular Shonen back then. Of course it wasn't as popular as Naruto or One Piece but its Volumes used to have great numbers, it was only rushed due to not ranking well in Jump's stupid ToC, same happened to Bleach.
I think I’ve rewatched KHR five or six times now throughout the years. That’s how good it is. It’s my all time favorite shounen anime. Only My Hero Academia is a close second. That says a lot.

Been a fan of this anime since 2012. It was my first anime actually, and it holds a very special place in my heart. What I would GIVE for this anime to get a reboot!

I have mixed opinions about the Daily Life Arc, though having rewatched it fairly recently I've grown to appreciate it much more. My only real critique of it is honestly some of the cuts that were made from it. For anyone who doesn't know, the Daily life arc in the anime is much shorter than the one in the manga and there was a lot that was from it or even redistributed throughout the anime in between the major arcs to offer a reprieve here and there. But there's three particular chapters from the manga that I don't think should of been cut out. The chapters I'm talking about are chapter 61 Promotion, chapter 6 Russian Roulette and chapter 5 Yamamoto Takeshi. These three chapters give some very interesting insight into the characters of Gokudera, Kyoko and Yamamoto respectively. Especially on Yamamotos part. I won't go into it much more in case y'all haven't read these chapters and want to, but I just don't think they should of been cut from the show.
Anyways, lil rant aside. Great job on the video! And I'm so glad to see you're making more KHR content, I'm absolutely here for it.
Yeah, those were actually my nitpicks to it, is that the anime did not fully adapt the entire story of the manga (aside from the Inheritance Ceremony Arc and the Curse of the Rainbow Arc.. which I hope it happens soon).
It was basically some crucial chapters that people have missed, for example in the Anime; Yamamoto joined because he is "interested in the mafia game" while in the manga, he joined because Tsuna saved his life from suicide (which btw was a very crucial part of his relationship with Tsuna). The reason as to why those were cut was beyond me... My best guess was that Reborn at the time of its airing in 2006 may have been intended for Kids back than and they decided to cut some explicit chapters to make it "kid friendly" but that's just my best guess.
All in all; The Manga of the Daily Life Arc is arguably better and more deeper in terms of story from what I've seen and I'm sure some people would agree, but the anime does have its charming moments while growing up..

@@Red.Decimo Yes! Exactly, the whole thing with Yamamoto bothers me so much because it completely changes his and Tsunas dynamic and even his character development in some ways. Especially contextually when he confronts Gokudera later on about being reckless, It just changes so much. I recently rewatched the entire anime series with my older cousin who'd never seen it before and while we were watching the Daily Life Arc I told him to go read the three chapters I mentioned above. And he was actually shocked by just how much more depth those chapters gave to the characters and their dynamics with Tsuna. Yamamoto is a given, but the Russian Roulette chapter gives us a rare Kyoko character moment where she proves herself to be a genuinely kinda person who cares for Tsuna. And the Promotion chapter is, in my opinion anyways, the true starting point of Gokuderas character arc and the development of his and Tsunas friendship.
Honestly, even just those 3 chapters already make the manga Daily Life arc better. Though only just, the Naito Longchamp story line was kinda hard for me to get through and I'm glad they cut that part at least in the anime. Naito is honestly the only character in the whole series I found actually annoying.
And no prob man! I love KHR and have a lot to say about and large amount of knowledge about the world and lore so I always like it when I get to talk about it a bit.

@@Red.Decimo Tbh one of my favourite things about the dynamic between Gokudera, Tsuna and Yamamoto is that at the start of the series they all have the same basic issue and their arcs are all very similar, the only difference is how they react to their issues and how they express them.
Unfortunately that was the biggest censor they added. Other smaller things like Gokudera’s cigarettes, most of the guns (leon ended up being reborn’s only gun) amongst a few were taken out for obvious reasons but with Yamamoto, unfortunately the suicide thing, while definitely emotional in that moment, was more of a dark humor thing (kind of like Dazai in Bungou Stay dogs). You can Bc it’s literally never brought up again but also it goes along with Yamamoto being an extreme Japanese stereotype.
@@Miyanoai14 Mhmmm, definitely it wasn't the most well handled topic from the manga but at the time it was written suicide and depression were still very stigmatized topics to try and cover and I've seen worse ways it's been handled. You can actually see how this event affects Yamamotos perspective throughout the series. Especially when he's interacting with Gokudera during the future arc.
What I wish they had done with the chapter, is adapted it into the anime but taken it a bit more seriously and handled the topic with more care and attention. There's a lot of aspects of the show that I think would be really interesting to see getting more attention if they ever do a reboot. Because the show actually has a lot of themes regarding mental health and learning to heal with the help of others.
I'd love to see a reboot where we spend more time with Hayatos family, and more actively discuss both his trust and abandonment issues that were a result of this family. I'd love to see Tsunas strained relationship with Iemitsu get properly addressed, developed, and resolved. And Tsuna being allowed to properly work through what he's been put through. And of course I'd really like to see Yamamotos depression be a more actively developed part of his character and his character arc. I know a lot of people think his depression might of been triggered by his moms death, but we don't know that for sure since we don't even get to hear about his mom like at all.
Point is, I just really want a KHR reboot where they still follow the same plot point and story structure, but also don't shy away from the more complex themes that the original series had, but never fully developed/explored.

I'm sure MANY of us who grew up watching KHR are well into our adulthood. Maybe it's the nostalgia speaking, but I truly agree that KHR is the best shonen anime ever. Albeit, some of the gags and stereotypes used in the anime were a tad cringy. But at the same time, you really get to see the characters grow and develop over time.
Varia Arc is one of the best anime arcs ever. The way they introduced the antagonists, how the battles were formulated and executed, the way it was resolved. Truly ahead of its time! The start of future arc was really great as well, but I got to agree, it was dragged on for way too long. I believe most of us were just waiting to see TYL Tsuna hahaha.

I started watching the anime at 13 all the way until the last episode which was around 2011 or 2012 and now Im 24. I need the continuation because theres so much more in the manga that needs to be uncovered

Man, i still remember when i was a kid watching this on TV. This made me an anime fan. My first OC was based on Kyoko and Tsunayoshi, my life evolved around KHR and the ssooooonggggsss. Out of all the songs Sakura Addiction was my favorite and gawd

Truee khr is just a forgotten masterpiece (not completely forgotten) that it needs more attention I haven't finished it yet but I know that this anime is fire
I just hope they'll do a remake. I've watched the anime many times. This vid makes me want to rewatch it or read the manga (read only small part of arco baleno arc). I wanted to buy the manga but learned that VIZ media only released volumes 1 - 16.
I watched this anime when i was 10 at first then forgot about it for a while and then rewatched it finished in november. i enjoyed it so much so read the manga and loved it but got disapointed for the ending

At least it didn't turn into lame rom com anime, throughout the manga/anime there's only at least 5% of those scenes. I also agree that the ending is kinda lacking but its pretty much fine and a good conclusion for the story.
First time i watched was 7 years ago, when i was 12, It made such and impact in my life, is one of my favorite anime till this day ❤️

I watched the heck out of this in middle school, it was my first anime I've watched it like 3 or 4 times since.
I so agree the manga needs a sequel and the inheritance arc and curse of the rainbow arc need animated we held out for so long and Bleach's final arc is getting animated it can happen with Hitman Reborn 😄😆
this is my first favorite anime, its sad that the KHR story end up only return to their time after defeating their enemy in the future.

Darn, the final section. Seeing all of the tweets and posts from various people around the world just showing their support for Reborn made me emotional. I swear, when (not IF) Reborn comes back, I will cry my happiest tears! I want to add one thing to all of this too. When you watch Rebocon Lives, everyone there all seem like a family. Granted the live performances aren't as polished as some of the ones I've seen. It's awkward and chaotic at parts but it feels genuine. Especially, Kokubun-san (Tsuna's VA) and Neeko. At the end of their final song of their final concert, it just fills my heart seeing Neeko and Kokubun-san happy and sad that it's all over. That being said, that, and the friendship that Reborn (the series) itself teaches helped create the community that Reborn has which has been so wholesome and chaotic as far as I've seen which makes KHR all the more special! Anyway, thanks for the vid!
Anything Reborn related has a charm to it, and that's pretty much what makes it great for us ❤️ It has chaoticly good moments and all, even the recent stageplays I can think people can look back at it and admire it for what it is.
Again, by the time Reborn comes back; I'm definitely going to cry happy, my hope for this show will most likely stay alive as long as it's within me. ❤️

To be honest, as though as hopeless as it seems that the series just isn't coming back, I still think that it would eventually come back soon (perhaps in one of the anniversaries). So long as it's reputation continues to maintain in Japan, it's not as dead as it was surprisingly.

reborn has been a very underrated anime and it was my childhood. I'm just wondering why new anime fans don't want to watch it. when all in all it's a masterpiece not to mention unique from any other animes out there, the OST, the character design, it is almost perfect. I just wish that there might be a company to pick this anime up and work for its new season nor at least give it a reboot, I badly miss the Vongolas. especially the cute little cow Lambo.
its the slow episodes at the beginning, newer anime fans expect them too get amazing within the first 3, no attention spans at all

I recently recommending my friends to watch this. Because I know the series concept is interesting. Most of them never knew this series... Very sad actually. I even made a quiz, just for fun, that will determine your Dying Will Flames attributes. It took me a few weeks to research and decide what questions to be ask. But then I have to calculate the results manually. XD

Totally agree with you on 1st S of the Anime, because it shows more there, which does play out later on,
have heard some RUclipsrs say to ignore the 1st S, go straight into the 2nd.
You learn so much from the 1st 2 Seasons, then small season 3, season 4 with what happens there, almost hits you like a brick, what happens there also pays off in season 5.

I never expected Reborn to be my favorite anime like number 1 favorite over a plethora of others. When I first saw Reborn I wasn't initially drawn to it, but that was because I was new to anime so I just so happened to add it to my watch list and that was one of the best decision I made at 14 yrs old. At the time I saw lots of similarities between myself and Tsuna which made it real easy to get into Reborn. Besides that the characters, power system, the fights, the story, the visuals, the anime openings & endings plus the rest of the sound track just made me fall in love with the series. It's thanks to Reborn that I started my own story based on Reborn and create an OC with similar powers like Tsuna and other flame users. All in all this anime Reborn deserves to make a comeback whether to dub the anime, animate the last remaining arcs from the manga, go beyond the end of the manga or all of the above. Let's hope we get to see the 10th Generation Vongola Family once more 😁

KHR was the very first anime that i ever watched. I really wish that they'll continue this series one day especially the other arcs from the manga
You mentioned some crucial developments points for Chrome/Yamamoto. In the manga, which chapter would I find that in? (I'm going to be re-reading it after the Byakuran fight in the anime)
Starting off with Yamamoto, his character introduction in the Manga Adaptation during the Daily Life Arc was significantly different compared to the Anime, it was as soon as he was introduced (Chapter 4,5 or 6 I believe), once you reach those parts, keep in mind, it's pretty dark...
Chrome however, I don't remember which chapter it was but I think it does revolve around her past which was explained more in the manga than in the anime, which by the way, fun fact: Chrome spoke Italian twice in the manga, first when she introduced herself on her first appearance (Ch: 113), and then when she invaded Merone Base before saving Gokudera (Ch:189). However, these were replaced with Japanese in the anime.... For whatever reason.
For me it was the gag eps in the beginning that made me give up on episode like episode 5 years ago I would always see AMV fight clips on RUclips and wondered how it went from these boring ass episodes to these intense fights soo a couple months ago I decided to binge it and once you get to episode 20 where things started to get interesting for me before I knew it I was on episode 200 finishing the manga and now one of my favorite anime’s. From this I learned that patience is key and I recommend all of y’all to finish it if you gave up even though there is so slow/boring moments between arcs it’s still worth it if you enjoy gag comedy

One of the best anime that is really close to my heart and currently re-watching it for I really miss all of the characters. The characters who you love to hate and hate to love at the same time (if that makes sense). This anime REALLY REALLY needs a reboot or continuation.

some fan have even been writing fanfiction about Katekyo Hitman ReBorn. I have one in the works with some chapter already posted that takes place after the Manga finished and what could happen.
This show and manga NEEDS to come back right now in the process of watching the anime and me knowing that the anime and manga ended on a bad note is so frustrating and plus the reason it’s like this cause it got axed at a random time and this anime/manga could have had better potential if it didn’t get axed if viz media let it run a bit more longer it could have been picked up again.
The anime is still one of the best I watched and am waiting for the final arc to be animated

Yeah, odds are rather slim that it may seem very unlikely, although I'm not ashamed to admit.. I am actually still hopeful that it could come back eventually when we least expect it. At least that's what I think.
But to be honest, I doubt popularity would be a big issue considering the fact that it's still being advertised frequently in Japan so it's not entirely impossible

the first time i watched katekyo hitman reborn was in 2010 , and damn it was an absolute blast ! i absolutely loved the deathperation flame power system ( it's among my favorite PS in anime with stands , nen and innocence ) , the varia arc is one of the best arcs in shonen in my opinion , the characters are likable as hell ( even lambo lol ) , my favorite is the goat hibari kyoya who's also my first cosplay ever , i'm so waiting for the anime to come back and animate the simone arc and curse of the arcobaleno arc , a reboot also is a good idea like just imagine with Jujutsu kaisen's animation... it will blow up the shonen landscape. Reborn is an absolute banger if a shonen and it indeed deserves more attention , thanks for this video !
The plot is so more complex than most people imagine.
The Arcobaleno is such a interesting idea, so is Kawahira and Sephira. Bermuda and the Vindice.
All Flame Lore and Guardians Bonds and Sky Harmony. How rare Sky Flames are and how coveted are them.
Ricardo's usurpation. Daemon's betrayal and the Shimon Famiglia. Giotto's escape to Japan. Xanxus's whole story and the Varia and Ottabio's betrayal. The Ring Battles, Timoteo's visit and the seal. Sawada _fucking_ Iemitsu being a awful parent. Nono's manipulations and Tsuna lowkey being a puppet.
Reborn's schemes and tests for 'training' Tsuna are interesting to watch, if not frustating because I kinda hate the character.

The second hidden gem would be D gray man but we’ll never get to see the rest of Allen’s story 😔
D.Gray-Man is definitely another hidden gem, like with Reborn it also deserves the praise that it needs
