I know people that drink the stuff straight from the bottle and tells me brandy tastes bad. I tell them to do the proper snifter method and they think I'm full of it. Also upgrade from Paul Messon to Ciroc brandy and it's a big jump in smoothness and flavor.
I don't get in the way of what people enjoy. This demonstration is intended to offer an alternate way of experiencing the stuff! I don't even drink cheap brandy. I prefer to flambe it on food or stick it in the microwave like a scent stick 🤣

Here's a nice coincidence: I have the exact same crystal glasses you do - the little gold label says "Echt Bleikristall Handgeschliffen" (real lead crystal, hand cut). My question: other than source region, is there any real difference between brandy and cognac?
Just found a secret brandy recipe using klipdrift south african brandy and some holden sweetness. Terrific recipe sure to give you the sweats on freezing winters night ❤
@@QsBLUEWORLD sorry misspelled it.... Meant golden sweetness. Which meant honey specifically the lows creek macadamia honey from nelspruit. Mixed with a tot of coke for taste and honey.
@@QsBLUEWORLD There is something about brandy that is just too harsh and acrid for my stomach. It really messes up my gastric juices, badly! As for rocket fuel, the closest I came to drinking that was a spirit called "Stroh' from Austria. The pinkish colour even looked like rocket fuel! :)
On the rocks not too much in the winter time but in the late spring early summer yes mix it with some orange juice take a sip of that and a sip of root beer after the after taste is like a hard candy
I started drinking this as of recent i mostly drink Whiskey but have started drinking brandy to and didn't know which was the proper way to drink it till now.

Brandy isn't necessarily made from grapes. Brandy just means it's made of distilled fruit. There's probably cucumber and eggplant Brandy our there.
That is true. But those are certainly less common unless you make your own

That's it. The permutations of terroir, technique and taste are expansive. But region validates the brand that is cognac.

I do Korbel and coke. Two fingers, usually the pinky and the index finger.

I recently seen an attractive Brandy set you can buy on line.. You get sifters, a holder that holds the sifter above a candle to warm it.
That's cool. The microwave for a few seconds works just as well. But a set like that sounds superb.
Is this one considered cheap? Not many Brandy to buy so I always end up with this one. And I like it but would like to compare it to others
It is certainly affordable when you buy it from Sams. And I think it is quite drinkable
I'm having a brandy today and this introduction will enjoy it more.
