Even though, the Pistons won all six of their regular season games against the Bulls and won most their of their games against them over the past few season and were heavily favored in this series, the Pistons look very nervous before the game and the Bulls look a lot more confident at the start of the game.
@@epixploits7826 Well who had the tougher road? And what was their result vs the Champs? Bulls lost 4-2 to a team that swept every other opponent incl. the Lakers in the Finals. Cavs on the other hand got swept by a team that lost at least one game to every other opponent (barely beat the Rockets 4-3). So they couldn't even do what the Pelicans did.
Can you imagine one of today's prima donna wannabe hard ass thugs taking a foul that Rodman got at :51? They would be staring down, talking shit and trying to fight after running 10 feet backward while getting behind 4 players. The NBA is a joke today and unwatchable. Thanks for putting up these vids from the GOLDEN era!!
No they did after game 3 when he scored 46. Game 4 they held him to 2 field goals in 41 minutes. Game 5 8 shots in 46 minutes. Game 6 scoreless the last 11 minutes of the game with an airball and turnover.
@sportstalkonly1442 Exactly right. Bulls and Jordan fan here. Saw all of those games at the time. The Pistons taught Jordan how to win. Their defense on him in the three playoff series [88, 89, and 90] was awesome to watch. Detroit respected Jordan greatness, but they were never in awe of him. In fact, they _wanted_ him to get mad and try to take over the game. They knew they had the defensive talent that would make it impossible for Jordan to take the game over himself _and beat them_ 4 games out of 7. They knew he was so great he might be able to do it once or twice, but not four. Those 4 years [88 through 91] were just awesome to watch.

Mike McGrath what are you even talking about? I doubt anyone considered MJ a perfect angel but he didn’t play that way. He went out of his way to bad mouth that style of ball. They picked up Salley who MJ/Scottie had no beef with and actually considered a friend. And then Krause and Phil basically had to beg MJ/Scottie about signing Rodman but they knew they needed him to beat Orlando so they swallowed pride

Mike McGrath Ask anyone from that era and they’d tell you Isiah, Laimbeer and Mahorn were the ring leaders and til this day none of them have anything good to say about him and vice versa. Jordan's snatch back is lethal man underrated!
if mj was playing in today's game. he would average 50 a game easily.

To almost push THIS team to the Finals is not too bad :)!!!
lebron is better he pushed a worse team to the finals in 2018

Mike McGrath had to match the Pistons energy. They played each other 6x year in the regular season back then and I’m sure a Detroit player did worse
