    MJ always raised his game in the playoffs - highest scoring average in the playoffs as well as the regular season. And he always played even when injured like he did here.

    Jordan tough as nails. He NEVER needed a day of "rest" regular season or playoffs he was always a gamer.

    As the announcer said "at 75 % hes better than anyone else"

    I loved seeing MJ give Dap to everyone on the team on the way to the bench, coaches included!

    @ 3:21 "Since joining the Bulls five years ago, he has played with 43 different teammates. He has had at least three new starters each year, and has had three different coaches; so the stability aspect has not been there for Jordan." ... When people criticize Jordan for not being able to advance in the playoffs before Pippen arrived, maybe they need to walk a mile in his shoes first!

      Now imagine all that turnover in an Eastern Conference that was as loaded as it was during that time

    4:34 - his defender is 5 feet in front of him and he still blows by him with his first step. Special kind of athlete.

  • @boogieloo1831
    @boogieloo1831 6 лет назад +14

    4:35. This is a spread offensive set with defenders standing in positions like seen in every possession today. The defense isn't packed in the paint like they usually were back then. Look at how an INJURED MJ handles this defense. He destroyed it. And back then, very few fouls were called even with contact near the basket - and certainly never when touched by the defender at the top of the key - today, everything, even the slightest touch by a defender is called. This is why today's perimeter players score so much - largely because they get countless foul calls - if MJ played today, he'd average over 40 per game in today's game conditions.

      Thank you. Most struggle with that simple analysis. Averaging 40 easily

      Your comment was from three years ago, but you probably know it's even worse in the NBA today. Silver changed the rules in 2018 to further limit physical contact and now scoring in the NBA is at record levels. It's such a joke that any player can go for 30 on a given night now, even role players in some cases.

    that shit is crazy to hear these commentators talk about Jordan in the 80s. they said "there is no better individual player than jordan" and thats in the fuickin 80s with guys like bird and magic hakeem and barkley putting up historic seasons. so what was missing from Jordan's career at that point? Jordan had no team if he had won a title in the 80s you would of heard about him being the greatest ever in the 80s. people need to understand that other legends in the game at that time had teams. jordan had no team that could contend for a title until late in his career and he still won six championships. he was fuckin old when he would win the majority of his titles. that's why when people say he was playing in a water down league in the 90s and winning titles i ask the question what other legend of any era had that scoring responsibility that Jordan had as an older player? the answer is nobody. usually as a player gets older you have a younger player to take over those scoring responsibilities. for Jordan pippen never did that shit. yeah he could score but not to the point where he was a go to player. the fact is Jordan should only have three titles not six. he was an old fuckin man winning scoring titles and championships at the same time if he had a team from the start he would of fucked with bill Russel 11 championship total.

      EXACTLY!!!!!! As i heard from the commentators....MJ had 43 different teamates in 4 years, 3 different starters every season from 84 to 89, like 3 different coaches, a young, inexperienced scottie pippen who was a mentally weak player before he fully developed going up against HISTORICALLY GREAT TEAMS filled with hall of famers and chamoionship pedigree!!!! Had MJ had the supporting cast Magic, bird and isiah thomas had in the 80's he would've won championships in the 80s!!!!! MJ was in the peak of his powers 86,87,88 and 89!!!! I wish i had a chance to drop some freaking sense and some wisdom to some of the idiots on FS1 and on espn talking crap about MJ as if he was choking his ass off like lebron before he started winning!!!!!!

    Getting double teamed constantly and not scoring on teenagers. That would be the anti-Lebron 2018 playoffs.

      Cheema0113 - or he was that good and was the best slasher ever. Today's game literally has almost twice as many free throws as his era. LBJ had more free throws than MJ in his first 9 seasons. But MJ got the benefit of the whistle? Back then, players had to earn shit and going to the basket meant contact nearly every possession.

    Knicks should have won this series, this series was Pitino's last as the Knicks head coach and still believe he would have gotten Ewing a ring if Bianchi would not have ran Rick off, they are still paying the price 34 years later

    Meanwhile, in 2021 Anthony Davis can't stay on the court for the Lakers with a groin injury. Jordan over 30 years ago destroyed the Knicks with the same injury.

Their "efforts" no longer affected the Bulls and they knew they were done. Go view what Isaiah stated from his own mouth. If Stern was so involved why did it take so many years to respond???

Ur boy pissed his diaper when he complained about them and didn't win till all the good teams got old and injured. And to add more shame, he brings in 3 of those pistons to help him. I guess it's ok if they're helping u win. Joke. Very jordanary of him.
