Question, why do that? Is it for anything besides visual effects?
Its just for visual effects. When I look at videos on this site for lawn care, lots of people are really fanatical about their lawns: I admire their work and dedication but being disabled I have always been a more of a KISS landscaper. I recycle my clippings so using a roller is not really feasible for me because it leaves lines of grass if I go in opposite directions. Also my lawn is small with beds surrounding 3/4 of it.

Why not just tow this with your mower?
From the looks of it you might have heat stresss or lawn fungus 🤔
That’s fine but I’ve seen others more simpler to make everyone don’t have a arc welder who wants to walk with that Weight
Design Flaw - No one wants to mow then come back to make the stripes.
