Mix is generally taken as the biggest factor when judging contemporary singers but do you know a case where someone who has a better mix but is not better than someone who has a weaker mix? If we do look at it in a more balanced standpoint (Mix, HV, Mid range and LW taken into account equally) what would be the ranking between Taeyeon, Ailee, Hyolyn, Lina, Luna, Shannon Williams, Bada, Eunji, Son Seungyeon, Lena Park, Wendy, Uji, Jimin of 15&?
There’re quite a few actually: Baek Yerin has a better mix than Wendy, Eunji has a better mix than Jamie, Seungkwan has a better mix than Baekhyun, Park Hyoshin and Naul has better mix than Jung Dongha,.. I’m not sure cause it depends on many other things and I don’t think it’s plausible to judge each register the same~

Above average agility also. Mix-wise she has done multiple nice B4s but also strained a handful others. She even strained some Bb4s in Let It Go. All in all her consistency is still to be observed a bit more, but the potential is plenty. Ah about her head voice I don't remember the exact perf, but it should be in one of her compilations.
Who do you think is better Lina or Luna? Lina is more well rounded imo,Lina's mix is better she can resonate Eb5 and support E5,her Head voice is 2 notes below Luna's support,and i'm not fully sure about mentioning their lows since i only know Luna's lows.
Lina’s the best SM Soprano. Her head voice even thought does not carry support as high as Luna but its fullness is arguably way more present while Luna can be a bit nasal in the lower head range.
Ock Joo Hyun based on these clips seems to be doing a lot of musical theatre. I presume head voice is central to her singing i.e. she's a more frequent user of HV. Why is she ranked lower though? Genuinely asking coz I'm not really familiar with all of them.
Yeonji's head voice is better than Luna(and is the best here). She has a fuller sound, despite supporting a semitone lower. I'm happy to see DIA here, she's so underrated! Same with Lina. Also, Yeonji's first G5 was actually a G#5. Great video!
thank you for the compliment! I'm not too familiar with them but as far as I'm aware Raina head voice isn't as full as Sunny nor Narsha, Suhyun is still relatively a bit under-developed compared to the girls here, while Minkyung and Boram don't have a consistent supported head voice.
