Help please. My husband & I just got this engraver but it is producing gold or brownish engravings. We did this very same dog tag & it came out nice but gold not black. Thanks for any advice & thanks for your video.
Thanks, as I'm extremely new to xtool I need all the help I can get. I've really just been watching my husband so far & done very little & haven't run it on my own so I'm a bit intimidated & afraid I will break something😂 But the goal is to get nice dark engravings for jewelry pieces.
@@cpg1355 I completely understand feeling overwhelmed. What helps me is to remember that all we're doing is vaporizing the material that the laser comes in contact with (like making little burn marks). Different materials need different settings which takes practice. Try using the machine with some scrap materials first, just to get a sense of how it works. You can do it! -Jane
Just got my f1, still in the box.
Was nice how you showed utilization of the software
So glad you've found it helpful! Let us know what you make first :D -Jane
Great job
Thank you Baka!

Yes- try a slower speed and maybe a second pass. -Jane
