Ryan is such a generous musician. Never overplaying, nearly always sitting kinda low in the mix and adding juuuuuuust what the tune needed. I respect the dude’s playing more and more over time.
You know, I've been watching your vids for about a year now and I'm starting to see Tamir Barzilay is insane good. Perfect feel, fills, and timing, everything fits, sounds legit. This guy just has it. His whole drumming is spot-on perfect.
I think I’ve listened to this 25x today. Larry Goldings and Larry David dropping new sh*t at the same time has me about as happy as I’ve been during the pandemic. They need a Collaboration! This groove…wow.
I bet I've watched this video fifty times already. I like how Tamir has a shaker on his drumstick. I like how Jack plays the upbeats behind Larry on the 4 chord. And Mono... well, every note he plays is gold!
It's like everyone is grateful to be playing with each of the other guys...I don't know why it seems like that but each job is being done with mastery.
When your trucker neighbor dropped by to jam with your grandpa, your uncle, Snoop Dogg and the keyboard player at church. I'd watch this over Netflix right now.
This is marvellous! everything in this masterful piece of music is so intensive and expressive! The bass-line, the drums, the backing guitar and the organs! I'm stunned! Thanks for this! You are amazing!
I play this almost every night before going to bed. It puts me in a good mood! And you all seem to be “in the pocket”. I always wish that the Leslie rotating speaker (model 122?) was in view, though, performing its magic. My wife just says “you really dig that tune”. True. 😊❤
This is gold to my ears, pure joy. A Wurli and a B3 in the same room should be enough to get anyone thrilled but this is in the pocket guys...all of you. Amazing!
Holy crap love this!!!!!!!!!!! Saw you Larry in San Diego at Jazz Lounge 1/18/23. Wanted to say I love what you do, and special shout on your work with James Taylor / One Man (not exactly) Band.
Man! This is the rhythm section! Those two can funk on as long as they like. Such a massive groove. Dare I say the melodics almost fall by the wayside.... But even the greatest steak needs salt & Pepper.
I looove this. I love watching these guys play, I love listening to it. Seeing them interact - Who leads when, the small looks, the smiles, the "ok I'll go with that"... Man... I love it all
Awesome, Reminds me a bit of 'California P.M', off George Benson's outstanding, classic 1978 double live album 'Weekend in L.A.'. But the changes here are even hipper, if that's possible...
That has to be one of the most tasteful drummers I have ever heard. Obviously the rest are killing it too! It's been on repeat for me for the past year hehe.
This is the best prescription I needed so far. So tight, so groovy, so funky as hell... Ahhhh, I feel so better now 🤤. Thanks to the scary goldings laboratory for this 🤩. Greetings from France.

Tamir is an absolutely insane drummer
Super tight! Amazing really! So much going on!
1:47 impossibly funky fill
Tight. Clean. Crisp. And so clear.
When first see him i say "Damn, jon theodore" 😆
Seriously 🔥, he's so in the pocket I've nicknamed him Lint.
mono's bassline on this one is addictive and uplifting!
Exactly. I just learned it but i need a 5 string bass to play correctly the entire song.
The absolute JAM that awaits you if you stay on the Character Select screen long enough.
Hahahaha YESSSSSS...
Extreme Gran Turismo 2 Simulation Mode energy.
@@WC6 Fuck me what I wouldn't do for a gran tourismo 2 remake

Seriously, he's always so understated, but he can rip when he wants to.
I completely agree. He is a true musician’s musician!
Ryan is everywhere, leading from the shadows: Checkout ruclips.net/video/IQIPXJvX9gY/видео.html , 30 secs in we see the guy who wrote the song ;)
4:10 Larry playing the black key drawbar presets...how cool is that!! Even he is thoroughly enjoying it.
Love listening to Larry. That bit where he held one note and then played the preset keys to change the tone and variation--*chef's kiss*
I'm not sure I would have realized that's what he was doing without your comment. Thanks for the insight!
Love how Mono drops the bass note down at the end altering the vibe then the spring reverb or something kicks in. Amazing.
Mononeon is out-of-this-world. Everything he plays is so musically justified.
Everything Larry touches is Goldings

I have been enamoured of Tamir's drumming since Toxic (with Kenton) - probably my favourite Scary Pocket video. Tamir has it alright!
I love when Jack stops playing and just grooves tf out
Funny, I can't stand watching him at all. I wish he would keep still and groove on the inside. I find him to be way too distracting most of the time.
@@chriswinter8255 totally get that. I'm more of an internal groover myself
@@chriswinter8255 wtf it great to watch him having fun...never change jack
When I saw that I thought, Ah, a little Jack Stratton dance...
@@chriswinter8255 my god you must be fun at parties.
Just had a stressful work phone call, but after listening to this I feel totally relaxed. The power of music!
I think I’ve listened to this 25x today.
Larry Goldings and Larry David dropping new sh*t at the same time has me about as happy as I’ve been during the pandemic. They need a Collaboration! This groove…wow.
It's the golden era for Larry's!
I bet I've watched this video fifty times already. I like how Tamir has a shaker on his drumstick. I like how Jack plays the upbeats behind Larry on the 4 chord. And Mono... well, every note he plays is gold!

Зажигательный грув! Класс! А погремушка на барабанной палочке это для меня открытие. Всё гениальное просто!
Молодцы, парни!❤
Tamir Barzilay - remember that name! An absolute groove machine!
When your trucker neighbor dropped by to jam with your grandpa, your uncle, Snoop Dogg and the keyboard player at church. I'd watch this over Netflix right now.

man, every now and then I come across a tune that grabs me. this one def does...can't not groove out on it!
"Go Larry, go Larry!" What a legend ...
i love that circular setup. can really get that groove down when you are all locked in. love this one!
This is marvellous! everything in this masterful piece of music is so intensive and expressive! The bass-line, the drums, the backing guitar and the organs! I'm stunned! Thanks for this! You are amazing!

Besides playing well, this gang knows how to listen to each other. It’s rare.
Mono's sock is killing it on this one
This is gold to my ears, pure joy.
A Wurli and a B3 in the same room should be enough to get anyone thrilled but this is in the pocket guys...all of you. Amazing!
Sick AF! MonoNeon + scary pockets = 🚬💜💜💜💜❤️🔥
Giving Jack Conte a chair is like giving a bald man a comb...
this comment loooool
Plot twist: Jack Conte *is* bald...
Giving Jack Conte a chair is like giving Jack Conte a comb...
... to give Jack Conte an instrument ...
@@dezsokosa9182 The fuck?
I can’t explain it but Tamir’s drumming gets me. So good! But, so are all the drummers who show up in this setting.
I love how he’s switching between the Leslie and straight clean organ sound done VERY tastefuly
This is music that makes you feel good.
Love this song. The beat is so good... and MonoNeon is such a talent.
Ohhh Yessss! So reminds me of Steely Dan in their early phase of "Can´t Buy A Thrill" and "Pretzel Logic", so good!
Oh it's the sock that's stinkin up the room makin it filthy house junkyard funky... burns right thru screen making my ears and eyes water!
These cats Reign Supreme. TAMIR is the Grooviest Drummer I’ve heard since Stubblefield. Perfect Meter Pithy Fills BOOM!!!!
The tension from 4:25 onwards...the power of the bass player!
For real. I keep returning just to hear that part.
@@broskimedula5300 It's so good!
I could chill to a set like this for hours, or let it push me through the last few hours of work and study! What a great mashup of talent!!
4:30 taking down the groove. Love it.
God Damn Goldings is on fire here.
Humming the bassline all day. This is great!
I love Larry’s 1975 headphones
And YO whoever mixed this HATS OFF perfection. PERFECT
That descending chord ping pong thing between the organ and Wurli on the IV chord... I keep coming back just for that.
Love that bass line.
Oh, that's why there's a volume pedal on a hammond!!! Killer
Dywane Thomas Jr. (born August 6, 1990), also known as MonoNeon (Polyneon also few years ago)...
The Minister in the Groove Church !
So Nice to see tamir back on the drums ! Ive missed that groove
Wowww extreme hammond control and sound awesome 😎😎😎
Love that organ !
Ces "Disco Pills" transforment magiquement un morceau de "Dance" en Jazz Rock onirique !!! OMG...
Jazz Rock ?
C'est pas plutôt du Funk, Casimir?
Groove was so good my man had to stop and dance😂😂🔥🔥
The joy in the other keyboardist's face. I live for that 😂
Thank you for providing the groove the world so desperately needs! Best music project on RUclips!
Tamir is back!
תן בראש י'גאון!
Last time i saw L Goldings was live with Steve Gadd Band, simply amazing. 😍

What a killer, fun band! You can tell they're all listening and respecting each other.
somehow this track, released in November, was my most listened to track of the year according to Spotify 😂
I looove this. I love watching these guys play, I love listening to it. Seeing them interact - Who leads when, the small looks, the smiles, the "ok I'll go with that"... Man... I love it all
Groove masterclass....
Tamir is one of my favorite drummers. Masterclass.
I can hear mono neon´s bass compressor breathing while he´s spitting tons of groove. Cheers for the sound engineer!!
Amazing how a really great drummer makes it all work.
Just makes me feel happy. In a world with (at times) quite drab music, this is so uplifting. Love it!
You guys are single handedly assembling a "stank" empire! 10 years from now - "Daddy, what were record companies again?"
They have really outdone themselves here. Amazing!!!
Y'all are seriously one of the the best things going on. In the whirl.
Literally just watched that last one again then this was posted! Best Thursday yet

improvisation jubilatoire 🤩
What a Sweet Science of funk
These guys are scary good!!
Love Larry! And that BASS ❤️
The definition of groove: When a tush self-oscillates (both on and off screen). 🎹🕺🏻👌🏻🤩
Such delicious drum work on this one! Somehow reminded me of the MAW's legendary Runaway on Nuyorican Soul

mi sento male da quanto è bello sto pezzo.
always make me smile seeing you dance, Jack! haha keep up the funk! you guys killed this one!
LOVED that outro!
My new favorite band. Brilliant
Ultimate Funk! Completely underrated band.
Ultra cool. A real head-turner. Really stopped me in my tracks and blew me away. Joyous and skilled

This sounds like a combination of Traffic and Kool and the Gang. Love it! I also still hear Scofield over this one. ;)
Absolutely fabulous!
Sick. Just throwin’up sick.
Man that poly carpet wall would look great on-fire. Then 3 seconds later not so much after the whole room is ablaze.
