Hare Krshna Hare Rama Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya Thank you for bringing my awareness to this beautiful melody invoking in me the ability to clearly think towards action in my life 💚
The team handling the creative direction for their sets, everything from styling, graphics, cinematography and set design, deserves multiple rounds of applause. The visual presentation just adds so much more to the sound.
I listen to a ton of music like this but stuff that leans towards ambient or drone I generally have no interest in seeing live. I would LOVE to see glass beams live just to experience this with that presentation and a crowd around me vibing out
The original Raga Bhairav by Charanjit Singh is a piece of music history. I would go as far as to say he unknowingly invented the acid house sound and was a precursor to techno. All that in 1982, with an unreleased 303, away from any Western influence. Massive.
@@rajo741 nah mate it's all part of their mystique. I'm not an art critic but the point of the masks as far as I see it is to remove physical appearance and personal identity from the equation in order to create a visual scene that is homogenous yet original. I love how they all wear the same colour palette yet they each have different styles, textures and vibes within that - variations on a theme. Overall I see a very well considered and balanced artistic presentation. That level of styling doesn't just happen by chance. You have to think it all through to the finest detail and then make it look effortless for the camera.
The original was found in a drawer in Charanjit's house in Mumbai after he passed away. Charanjit was a jobbing musician in the Bollywood film industry and the front man for a wedding band. He effectively invented Acid House Music- his work predated the Chicago movement. For me, he is a legend. Charanjit ki tarif!
@@geoffsmith8172 not taking anything away, it does actually pre-date, look it up yourself! Do check out the original (that this is a cover of), you'll enjoy it.
@@BurnerAccotwo @geoffsmith8172 Many do consider his work, 'Synthesizing: Ten Ragas to a Disco Beat' (1982), which was made using a TR-808 drum machine and TB-303 bass synthesizer, to be the earliest example of acid house music, predating Phuture's Acid Tracks (1987) by 5 years.
I found Charanjit's album way back in 2018 when I was exploring acid house scene and I have been hooked ever since to his hypnotic raga acid sounds. Glass Beams doing a cover is such a wonderful thing to witness 🕉️
Raga Bhairav' by Charanjit Singh is brilliant but someone should do a recreation of all the ragas done by Charanjit Singh! It will be an epic gift to this Generation.

My wife and I love Glass Beams,we own your songs, and are oldies and live in rural Queensland. We can’t wait for new music, and hope that the sound grows and morphs. Much love and best wishes Glass Beams❤❤😊
Got to see this live in Paredes de Coura. Its was their uncore, so happy I got to witness it in person. Amazing song, amazing band. I really hope they get the recognition they deserve 🔮
My daughter thought it sounded like a song from a Shantae soundtrack (also absolutely meant as a compliment). And she's not wrong, this could definitely be on a Shantae soundtrack.
"Knight Rider, a shadowy flight into the dangerous world of man who does not exist. Michael Knight, a young loner on a crusade to champion the cause of the innocent, the helpless, the powerless in a world of criminals who operate above the law"
Heard this live closing their set a few weeks ago in Portugal and evreyone was trying to get this track after the show, such a good song, love to see a good quality version uploaded
I discovered Ragas to a Disco Beat literally the day before Charanjit Singh passed. I am thrilled you guys are keeping the legend alive in a new, elevated way!
You always think music is in the past then someone comes out with something that totally inspires you. Wow, the style, the SOUND, the look. Do not stop fellas and keep any drama far away from what you have created. If you do, folks will be listening to y’all 50 years from now like the Stones. Soulful music!
I remember you guys ended your show in Vancouver with this song, it was INSANE live, we left cheering for at least 15 minutes trying to get you back on the stage.
I remember the first time I'd listened to the original track, what a magical experience that was. So glad you guys are covering this. Cheers from Bombay!
Just saw live last night in Atlanta and their live set blew my mind! Sounded even better in person than I could've imagined. This song was their closer and pretty much melted faces. Love from ATL
Just mesmerizing!! RUclips suggested this and normally I hate the suggestions BUT I’m so happy with this one! Listened to this a handleful of times and now buying their album!
Exciting times. I am glad the universe has shown me these three amazing ARTISTS. Simply the best audible cup of tea and my soul thanks you. Much Love & Respect Cheers from Western Australia
Their absolute best track is launching!!! Finally, they absolutely killed it on this one. Saw it live at lowlands NL, next level. Hope it will be on Spotify too
Glass Beams is too good to be true for this modern day. They're just too cool got characters & very unique, From film/audio production to costume design is well crafted such an art.
Raag Bhairav.. wow never expected such a rendition. One of the earliest raag I was taught by my Shastriya Music (Indian Classical Music) teacher. Love from India.❤
very savvy social media marketing to release a short with like 30 seconds of the song so everyone is edged until the full release lmao this shit go hard
saw a clip of this on tiktok, commented on it and then someone said “i saw them at ACL and they needed to be on a bigger stage” then i googled and realized i missed y’all by ONE night in dallas. i don’t know when y’all will be back… but im gonna be first in fucking line. can’t miss this next time. love y’all so much.
Y'all really need to release this as a single at least so i can give you money for it since your tour is too far away for me to see. It's an amazing cover of a fantastic tune, you do much credit to the original and Charanjit Singh's work.
Excellent! Kudos to Rajan Silva & all the band members. ❤ The Moog sounds so good in this one! I love the Indian influence. Jai Hind!
Who is Rajan Silva of the three btw?
The ragas are at least a few thousand years old ❤

1982 Indian proto-EDM hits hard. This is a great track which led me to the original.
DISCO FUNKY PORTALS❤❤❤❤
The drummer’s timing is impeccable
Locked in
It pulled me in. Brilliant
Tbh, that doesn’t sound like that drumming matches the drummer in the video
it's just a recording, it doesn't have to sound exactly like that@@rupeoverlay3153
yes, it's so tight!

The bassist's head bobbing is so groovy in this one
It's almost like their head's stationary and their body's doing all the grooving
The song's so groovy even bassist approved of it
This and orb were highlights of the live set for sure. Whole crowd got moving
The drummer is completely mesmerising, too. His precision is astonishing. He's a drum machine.
