  • I bought this bike off of Facebook Market place. Great looking bike except for the one fender being broken. Has a few problems but I will follow up with what I find.

      Reidinson I think it was a good purchase. Hoping to find an old fender to replace the cracked one.

    You said the seller was asking way too much, but I see in another comment that you got it for 800 bucks. How much could he have really been asking initially if you got it for 800 in the end?
    Thats a $3,000 Big Red with the fender damage and shifter problem.
    Another thing, just because it sat for a while without being sold, doesn't necessarily mean he was asking too much. Sometimes it takes a while before the right guy comes along. Generally speaking, unless you're giving it away for really cheap, they will sit until the right guy comes along that is in the market to buy one. That guy, knowing what he should expect to pay, shouldn't have a problem paying 3k for the machine seen in this video.
    These things are worth much more than most people think. I sold an all original 1985 250es last year for 5k, it was gone in less than 12 hours of listing.

      The market here in Vegas back when I bought the two of them was low. So, I felt $1600 for a machine not running was too high. Luckily a gas tank clean and a carb rebuild remedied both of them. The one needed further work with the gear shift peg. All in all the purchase was a good one. And with prices now it’s a great buy

    Sure would be nice if you would just say the priced first asked and the price you got it for. Oh well.

    Can you register one of these and drive it on public roads?? What’s the top speed

    • @Matthewwardlow
      @Matthewwardlow  4 года назад +1

      Jak3 you will have to check with your local laws. Most require brake lights and turn signals. Where I live they are considered ORV and cannot be used on public streets.
