"wild water rafting" has been stuck in my head for days, thank you. whenever I try to picture it in my head (what that could possibly mean, and it makes me laugh. not even joking. it usually is presented in a generic theme, like sci-fi, or the ol' wide, wide west
I saw Dan at a small show at an apartment in Brooklyn a few years back, and it was unforgettable. Just an intensely odd persona with such an idiosyncratic cadence and rhythm to the performance. Being in the room with him doing it was electric, had a terrific time. Keep it up!
That journey was a little risky, with it's regular, bizarre changes of context. Andy Kaufman, Steve Martin, and Robin Williams practiced the technique. I admire Mr. Licata for being bold, working a difficult form. I wanna see more of this guy.
Seeing him open for Joe Pera was one of the most frightening and hilarious things I’ve ever witnessed. Love that his brand of absurd comedy is getting a spotlight! You know he had to do it to’em!
Funny, the people commenting here seem to have preconceived notions of Dan based on his appearance, but if you listen to his stories, it's clear that he's the one with sound judgement.
@@_SPREZZATURA_McGEE_ this is more a reflection on you. You need to watch more stuff from both good and bad comics and see that comedy doesnt really remain consistent. Some sets are good others are bad even if the comic is good. never has a funny comic gone on a talk show and actually been the comic they usually are. Many comics you like I bet have been on a show like this and done a bad heavily scripted (and managed/rewritten by producers) set that didn't reflect their actual comedic abilities. You're too quick to judge comedy when literally every comedian who ever actually tried has had innumerable bad sets

This is my first time seeing this comic ... is he playing a character of some kind? This felt like a series of inside jokes that I was definitely on the outside of heh.
When he said AOC and the crowd groaned (with confusion?) then he clarified that's an "angry orchard cider" then the crowd laughs at their own assumption that AoC was somehow anesthesia, I died after and had to rewatch the rest when I respawned.
I came to this comment section to find stereotypical Seth meyers fans having a stereotypical reaction to this. Pretty pleased how far I had to scroll to get there. Maybe things aren’t as bad as they seem.
Check out his youtube special, he literally filled a High School auditorium with 15 year old boys and did standup for just them and it's great. He's one of the most original people in comedy right now.
I let Dan cheat off my homework and he didn't change a word but I didn't even get in trouble cuz the teacher's nephew got brain damage too so he felt bad for him
How did this guy get booked in June to talk about Thanksgiving? This is like a Tuesday open mic night where some raisin cake just wanders in off the street and thinks “this is cheaper than therapy.”
Why don’t you put out a Closer Look from each episode? It is the only part of the show I care to watch. Just like Colbert’s monologue. The only way I can watch the news is if there’s mostly humor and only a little bit of news.
@@mykel6268 I dig it. I read the news. I just don’t need overpaid on-air personalities who think they’re pundits to give me their two cents, whether it fox, cnn, msnbc, abc or whoever. But I think Seth and Stephen both do an outstanding job of conveying the news in a delightful manner, and I would love to see ACL on every episode.
That's how audio production works. It's also how talk shows and most shows recorded with live crowds work. "I totally thought this scripted TV was actually real" headass
This really made me laugh. Refreshing to see a comedian who definitely has strong views about secondary members of Bam Margeras crew
Seems like a huge Raab Himself fan
Seth Myers actually makes all his guests hit a 3 foot bong in the shape of the little guy from Game of Thrones before they come out
Dan Licata: The chaotic good to Joe Pera’s lawful good.
Connor O’Malley is Chaotic evil
WTF, in what world is this act chaotic good?
This man jumped off a church and shattered both of his legs.
Ah. Stupid then.
It's insane that he wrote the movie The Hurt Locker and barely anyone knows
he looks like Jordan Schlansky's brother
His new special is fantastic, one of the best and more creative ones I’ve seen
That stream of consciousness was like wild water rafting. 😂

This was chaotic in a way that I really enjoy.

For The Boys is my favorite comedy special in a long time. Dan is great.
This was super fun to watch. He was entertaining and it felt like I was just chillin with a cool funny guy. Nice
With a name like Licata you know you're in for a lotta laughter.
Hell yeah Dan. Saw him in Seattle and it was the hardest I've ever laughed at a standup set.
I saw him on Joe Pera’s tour and he’s great. Super funny
They both went to my high school, and they’ve always been super funny! Glad to see that Dan and Joe have literally gone places with their comedy ☺️🖤
this guy is awesome
licata the homie this dude slays
This is a man who's been carrying around a pocket full of rings since he got married
I love how the audience gasped when he siked them out on an AOC joke
That was an awesome set. Crazy amount of laughs. Great timing.
It's Dan Licata from Joe Pera! Yeah boyeeeeeeeeeeee
ziggy zoggy ziggy zoggy oi oi oi, it's the ziggy zoggy ziggy zoggy boy boy boy!
Dan Licata, notably funniest human alive

Loved him on Joe Pera's show.

Dan’s the man! Insanely creative and a super nice dude.

I love when I can hear Amber's laugh in the background.
Love this guy 🎉

Coach Steve is doing comedy? COOL

this was great
We love Dan Licata over here
Goat 🐐
Longform standup is so fun.
You guys should have Jackie Kashian perform. Her standup is great.
Ja-ckie! Ja-ckie! Ja-ckie!
I came to this comment section to find stereotypical Seth meyers fans having a stereotypical reaction to this. Pretty pleased how far I had to scroll to get there. Maybe things aren’t as bad as they seem.
Brilliant!! Dolts ragging on this performance don’t understand comedy at all. Maybe they only watched cuz Bon Jovi drummer was on the show??
Man, this audience was a gift from God to this dude
Hilarious. His special is great too
Well, that's odd
Just discovered that comedy can be odd?
I always enjoy finding new comedians. Doesn't mean I'll watch any more of their stuff but I enjoy it😅
His special is free on RUclips. If you like this set you’ll absolutely love it!
Gotta give it to him... helluva intro.
All the best for your career

Started bad.
The new voice of a generation
Generation of tasteless, shut-in luddites, perhaps.
AYYOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
its actually spelt Dan Le Cata wtf ? tv execs ruin everythim
Wow.
The world needs more thanksgiving content.❤
Pretty good set. Not quite that much cheering and howling good, but good.
I thought that's Jimmy Fallon in disguise 🥸
thank you!
Hell yeah. Dan rules
Funny guy
You gotta respect the absurdity.
I love dano yes I do
I love Dan likata how bout you?
ATAC
😂😂😂😂😂
Omg he’s sooo random!
He has something
I regret clicking on this video.
Only thing funny was the mustache 😂
I liked it!
Guy who thinks Joe Rogan is funny
Yeah, where do I get a refund?
The worse comedian ever
Recognise that ‘stache from Stavvy’s World
I find myself doing a Dan Licata impression too often. Its ruining my life.

BAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. thats priceless.... you should be on tha show
Weird
What did I just watch? Not the best.
Why don’t you put out a Closer Look from each episode? It is the only part of the show I care to watch. Just like Colbert’s monologue. The only way I can watch the news is if there’s mostly humor and only a little bit of news.

There's no _ACL_ on Tuesdays

Funny, are the laughters in the background made up ? It sounds all in sync 😅😂
That’s just how people laugh I think
Def post production laughing. Ie: fake.

no
Maybe?
Sometimes
As appalling as I thought it was going to
be.
He isn't funny at all.
Well I guess not all comedians can be funny.
He’s not funny. Like, at all. Does Seth have the “APPLAUSE” sign flashing? Ugh.
im glad we have brave people like u to take down seth meyers standup features. Every standup comedian is a ass hole!!!!!!!!!!
Dang stand up is in a bad place. It’s like mumble rap rn
So not funny
Oof. The sideburns that don't match his hair was indeed a bad omen. Standup ain't for everyone.
THIS FELLA AIN'T FUNNY!!!
Yeah idk what's happening
