I can say there is something to people with body types that appear over weight and out of shape. There are some whos physical ability and toughness far exceeds expectations. I fought someone like this a long time ago. And on points I was kicking his ass but nothing and I mean nothing that I hit him with hurt him at all. I might as well not even bothered to strike at all. And once my opponent got ahold of me it was as if he had super human strength and tossed me around like a rag doll despite he wasnt that much larger than I was. I've never been so confused or defeated in all my life. I just couldn't understand it. Some people are just special in this regard. While I never went down or gave in. The fight ended clearly with my opponent the winner. Sometimes these rare intangibles will humble even the best of fighters. Its as if this guy was a tank and I was trying to defeat it with a bee bee gun.

Weight is an actual advantage (up to a point).
That's why we use weight categories instead of muscle mass categories even though we can count both.

My dad was like this. He did not look to be in shape, but he was amazingly strong. I saw him pick up and move super heavy things with no problem that I would not even think about picking up myself. He was very strong. In these fights tho, if the heavyset fighter does not win right away with overwhelming brute force, it turns into a cardio workout for them and they get winded quick. Still, don’t underestimate brute force

The fine lines of well structured muscle vs ( Exactly the same structure, only covered by a layer of fat)
    Sort of a 6l V8 without a bonnet lid vs a 6l V8 with a bonnet lid.

Butterbean was really impressive both for the strength of his punches and his uncanny ability to take them, when that actually happened... he even occasionally taunted his opponents to hurt their hands on his head.
His punching strength and accuracy were so unfair for his opponents he reminded me of George "The Animal" Steele (WWF wrestling). The shaved head definitely did not help there.

Sapp is jacked, but he is not a beast. He's a side-show that gets hired when someone in Japan needs an entertaining win.
Khachab is a very good fighter. I saw him for the first time recently, and he was fighting at 330lbs, heavier than these two clips showed him! But he still had very good hands, and threw knees and jump-kicks as well.
Anyone know if the Klitchko - Fury fight was the only time Klitchko was the shorter fighter in any of his fights?
The biggest upset shown here, in my opinion, was Ruiz defeating Joshua. Not many thought that would happen, especially a TKO.

Only when there is no weight limit. Likw superheavyweight olympic and power lifters, each added kg of fat actually adds power. Its to do with the " folow " in the nervous system.
When there is a weight limit, higher fat % reduces capacity.
