  • Hi all,
Another quick video here, this time to show the functional DCDU with a PDC datalink clearance on Vatsim.
You will also see the ATC MSG light which we fitted in a previous video illuminate.
This is functional now and the ‘push to cancel’ function works.
This video shows a test with the new Fenix A319. Sadly I cannot fly this aircraft yet due to the Autopilot panel not working with it, however I have the same success of the CPDLC with the FBW A32NX. This aircraft fully works with the home cockpit.
Enjoy the video, if you have any questions please ask.
Leave a like, comment and subscribe if you can. Also check out my other videos too!
    Many thanks all

@@lxnnar1287 Hello, it is an Elecrow screen - 5” 800x480 designed for raspberry pi but works with windows, it’s on offer at £26.99 at the moment on Amazon. It has a HDMI connection and a micro USB connection for power. It’s a good little screen to be honest and yes as you say, the DCDU can pop out and be dragged over to it. Works a charm. I also think, if you had two and a HDMI splitter they would work together like on the real aircraft which has two :)

@@My320Sim great . Does 5 inch screen seems like the right size to you? Brilliant idea about the splitter . Won't need extra HDMI and it would tax the system. I wanted to do the same with PFD and ND but then one of the pilot's display would be opposite...

@@lxnnar1287 5 inch seems about right to me. I haven’t been to work for a little while though so can’t accurately say, but I feel it’s how I remember the DCDU screen being size wise. As for the PFD ND idea, I thought the same but as you say, one side would be wrong. The only work around is to have separate PFD and ND screens, meaning 4 screens with two HDMI splitters, gets complex then because I don’t know where you can get the right size screens for PFDs and NDs

@@My320Sim yes or if we find a splitter box with extra functions like mirror flipping, left to right flipping etc. the caveat would be ... Efis modes won't work individually.

@@lxnnar1287 yes but also you would get the PDF speed and Altitude tapes reversed so speed would end up on the right and altitude on the left. Sadly I think there isn’t a way to do them like that off 1 splitter. I think they will always need to be done as a separate display, that said you will remain with separate EFIS controls that way like you mentioned
