      Because those the the hots (line) feeding both switches with power they can be put together because that's always a constant source of power the rest of the romex is going out to the devices

    Those wire strippers make me nervous. They can nick the copper, creating a weak point. Ever since working in a factory as an assembler, I have been a huge fan of thermal strippers. Heat from flame worhs in a pinch, too. We don't see too much double-cotton insulation anymore. It's all vinyl.

    What if you need to run out a load wire for an outlet?

      I believe you would just tie in the hot with the other hots the neutrals together in the grounds and just jump into the outlet. I'm not sure though. Still trying to learn LOL
