"THREE PEOPLE TRIED TO WARN YOU!" Lol wow that was too funny
Two comemedian genius collide and it is pure pleasure
I know pure comedy brilliance and soooo funny! My side was sore from laughing so hard, especially as that whole pocket bit between them, kept escalating! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
This is timeless - almost 60 years old and it holds up like magic today. As great as the beginning of the skit is, it just gets better and better. What a great last minute. All-around great, clean humor. Can't be beat.
Don Adams did some wonderful acting here
Don Adams was the same whether he was in “Get Smart”, a sketch like this, or a guest on Johnny Carson. I don’t call that acting. He was just being himself.
So sad that this caliber of comedian no longer exists. Carol Burnett will always be the best ❤️
YUP !!
Unless comedians drop the F" garbage, it ain't funny for them !😏🙄
I agrrree Don Knotts is hilarious
Let's not forget Bob and Ray. I wonder if they were ever guests on Carroll's show....
This sketch is nearly eleven minutes long and it never gets boring!
Carol nearly broke character when Don hit her shoulder :-)
We see it from the side, but I believe that slap caught her in the face, probably on her nose. It "smarted"!!
I love Carol Burnett~! She has those facial expressions like no one else, and her acting is absolutely perfect.
The screaming was a bit long, loud and annoying for me, but I liked the script, acting, set, costume, and music.
@@donnawoodford6641 ,
Love Don Adams. Get Smart is still my favorite show.
Have you seen the movie with Steve Carell? It's hilarious!
Nothing beats the originals!
TV will never be this great again!!
Happy 89th Birthday 🥳 Carol May you live to be 💯 and beyond!
Never gets old! Clean fun and the best part is when they cracked each other up!❤
Did they crack each other up in this one? Don didn't usually break
Two of the funniest people to ever grace a television screen.
I love the Carol Burnett show! Every skit from every show was hilarious!! They don't make em like that anymore. ☺
Christopher Kraft
Nope!
No they sure don't
I couldn't find this clip, I put it in my purse and lost it...😂
So hysterically *FUNNY!* I love when Carol loses her cool...she's so brilliant...and those facial expressions! 🤣 ...I remember Carol had guested on Don's "Get Smart" a couple of times...awesome he was on her show too. Sure can't beat comedy like this...truly the golden age of television! 😊
" WELL YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE PUT THEM IN YOUR PURSE! THREE PEOPLE WARNED YOU!" Hilarious!!!!!
Maxwell Smart 🙌 I love that show!!!
CAROL BURNETT IS SO BRILLIANT! THERE IS NO ONE LIKE HER; ABSOLUTELY UNIQUE! NATIONAL TREASURE! FUNNY = CAROL BURNETT! 👍
Perfection! Burnett AND Adams?!...Comedy GOLD! TYSVM for keeping these gems alive & available!
Teda R. Yes, you're right. Perfection.
“I can’t act.”
“Oh you can so!” 😂😂😂
A classic comedy routine. Great writers. Great Comedians.
*I lost my pocket. 🤣*
*Have you ever had someone say to you:*
*You Dropped your pocket!?! 🤭*
*Try asking someone that sometime. It's hilarious.*
*They look everywhere and then laugh after they realize what you asked them. 🤣*
@@thedivineenergy that happened at the county fair to everyone that passed by this one game booth. I didn't fall for it and just ignored her so she kept yelling it.
Someone should definitely start this meme.
"I'm about to ask you three questions, the answer to any one of which may disqualify us from further life together!" I promise the writers did not put the sentence together that way, it's pure Don Adams.
trublgr
Don Adams is the actor? Is he same as tev actor in GET SMART?!
@@mistybuttercup110 Ab-so-lutely! In fact, If I remember correctly, Carol Burnett did a guest spot on Get Smart as well.
Not to mention he was the voice of Inspector Gadget.
@@mistybuttercup110 That, and the voice of Tennessee Tuxedo!
@@trublgrl Yes, she did. In Season Three, I believe.
This aired in November 27 1967 and it stills holds up.
Older than the Moon landing
@@allamericanwiseass Totally....
I wasn't born then but I remember watching re-runs growing up with my dad. We never laughed so hard
@@USNBLUE I hear you,I wasn't a year old myself.

Wow!
NEVER gets old watching this show !!
The best laugh I had in a long time. I wish we could have more clean comedy again.
Never saw this one 😂🤣
Missed it byyyy that much !
Good one.
Sorry about that chief.
@@1965Gindy lol
Justin Case would ya believe. . .
@@Sparkina lol... loved the old series.
Here it is 2020. How many TV shows on TV? And I sit here watching Carol Burnett on RUclips. You can't get this on TV nowadays.
I miss comedy like this.
David Watches RUclips they don't make them like they used too.
That one was hysterical!!!
That look from her when he slapped her shoulder - Priceless Carol! "Just don't hit me again."
She handled that well but I think that slap caught her off-guard in the face!
Her styling was much different in these first 3 seasons. The make-up and wardrobe created a zany look for her that still reflected the current style trends in almost every skit.
From season 4 onwards she had a much more sophisticated look - esp for the opening and the musical numbers.
Carol was thoroughly entertaining throughout all 11 seasons, though, no matter how she looked.
Thoroughly hilarious
Yes, she starts looking more sophisticated and timeless, especially the opening gowns. There are some brilliant Mackie gowns that are beyond their time, they would still be glamourous on a red carpet today.
Two brilliant minds. Never seen it before. Really miss Don👏🏼👏🏼😂😂🇦🇺
Sally Stuckey, yes, two brilliant minds together. Never seen before. Miss Don Adams too.
These 60s episodes that feature Carol more are the best. I love Conway, but I watch this show for Carol 1st
Don Adams was in an episode!?!?! Well, that's just loverly. Now I want to see the entire episode! There must be a way to purchase the entire series!
There is, but get out your wallet, and get ready for it to start smokin', from what I understand. It's been a while since I've priced the series, though.
2,000 dollars in 1967 is worth over 15,500 dollars today.
Thanks -- I was wondering.
Makes sense if you can buy apples peaches and plums for $0.84
@@DaveLH Yeah, I was wondering too. Then this skit must've been one of their first shows on the air....I know that the Carol Burnett Show ran from 1967-1978.
@@brandylorraine I wish she had said "apples, peaches, & pumpkin pie" as a nod to the song by Jay and the Techniques.
Hahahahahaha!!! This skit is hilarious!!! Thanks for posting this gem!!
Not one comment mentioning the set, so I will - look at that set! The level of detail and accessorizing went way beyond the demands of the skit. It looks like CBS poured a huge budget into the early years of this show.
Good wholesome slapstick. Nobody swore, nobody showed their genitalia and nobody twerked.
So very special them there days long gone But we can view repeats Thank God
Lol.✌️😄
Are they doing that on television shows now? I don't watch tv for 1 day and just found out they're twerking.
Or at least they didn't twerk in a too obvious life performance way.
So true.... Now we can't even watch comedy with family and children....
One of the best sketches on the show..
Every married couple has been in this predicament at least once! Lol
So true!
Comedy genius that was good natured and had fun with the silliness in life.
Ah, Don Adams... This is a classic episode
That little smile she does while he’s looking for his wallet...
What brilliant comedy we had back then. Today's so-called comedy is full of expletives and foul language. Bring back the earlier days of television, give us something decent to watch and to laugh at.
I had the pleasure of seeing Carol Burnett when she performed at a theater in my city this summer. It was amazing!
I rarely carried a pocket book but I did when I went to Atlantic City with a friend. I put the pockbook down to take some pictures and just forgot about it for like 10 min, when I went right back to the last place I had it the purse was gone.
I went right to the police made a report, they told me I'd never see it again. I said I knew cause I was a security guard.
My mother latter that night kept saying how could you be so stupid to have lost your purse over & over. There were just my keys and a small amount of money in it, but you ID, driver's license ect.
Long story short I got a call from the police, they'd had my purse turned in, my mom wouldn't give my a ride to A.C. my friend took me. I got to the police station, the officer put my purse up against the glass and had a weird look on his face.
Stated it was the 1st time ever that he'd had someone turn in a purse, not want any credit and everything was in the purse!!!
That night my mom & husband went to A.C. to do abit of gambling and YUP!! she lost her purse and never got it back, loseing quite a sum of money. I felt really bad for her but stuff happens.
I'll never know who turned my purse in, will never get to even say thank you but maybe with luck the person that turned my purse in can see this comment. "THANK YOU!!!"
"Do onto others as you would have them do unto you."
That's terrific you got it back
Laughing up to the end. Why dont they do these kinds of comedy sketch anymore.
Awww this skit is soo funny. And they do it without reading any cards out there
All the screaming and screeching left me exhausted, but laughing!!
I wonder how sore her throat was afterwards.
😂 It’s true...I’ve never lost a pocket.
Have you ever had a carnival barker tell you that you dropped your pocket?
YES!! I knew as soon as it showed up in my recommended that was Don Adams. He kills me
Way better than most of SNL skits
Awesome funny skit! I laughed my ass off
"He never said that!"
"3 people warned you!"
Lol!
Don Adams was so darn CUTE!!!
Love Don Adams!
Me too.
THAT COMEDY SKETCH IS PURE GOLD!😂😂😂
Boy, her husband sure did GET SMART with her! ;D
Luved the ending
Those were the days where comedy shows were comedy shows..
And not a constant political statement, you mean?
"Why don't you go see your brother"
"My brother lives in Wisconsin"
What a wonderful way to begin the weekend :)
Just a straight queen!
Hellacious comedy that can't be replicated by today's comedians it seems.
"Hellacious" isn't a compliment, sweetheart. I think you're looking for "hilarious".
@@hyliadreamer Definition of hellacious. 1 : exceptionally powerful or violent. 2 : remarkably good. 3 : extremely difficult. 4 : extraordinarily large. Just saying.
@@dalepritchard3335 Not to make unwanted, particularly tempestuous and undulant waves or anything, lol, but it seems like the general populace uses mainly the first definition/sense of the word. (I know that that is the definition I most often use whenever I say the word.)
This is so great!!! Acting, script, humor,... and important papers!
😂😂😂😂 Thank you. I haven't laughed like that in ages.
97 dislikes? who could of? This is great.
I know, right??? This is pure comedy brilliance and two hilarious geniuses! 🥰
The best comedy show ever.
Perfect comedy script. Worthy of Abbot & Costello
truly excellent sketch!!! excellent ending!! this was a weekly show and yet today, SNL actors can't even remember their lines let alone do a sketch like this that has depth, incredible humor, and a perfect twist at the end!! This comedy was gold, today's is a rusty hole bucket.
Two of my favorites.
I didn't know he'd ever been on the show! I love Don Adams! :D
This is from episode 11, season 1; it originally aired @ 10 PM on Monday, November 27, 1967.
So I went from SNL with David Spade and Will Ferrell to Carol Burnett and Don Adams.
I'll take it!!!
Vast improvement, isn't it? Back in those days, comedians actually knew something about comedy. These days, it's mockery and shock value.
@@hyliadreamer You're so right.
Outstanding script and performers. Pure gold. Thanks for brightening up my day in 2020. 😂😂
This never gets tiring! Those were the days!
The Carol Burnett show is AWESOME
What a great sketch! I don't think I've ever seen it before.
Ohh I watch this one all the time on the DVD set! I laugh every time 😂
Question: Are these DVD sets affordable? Last time I checked, I would have had to take out a loan to get them all. No need to mention prices, although it would be handy information to have...
snickpickle I got the lost episodes set and the 50th anniversary set a year apart so I had to save for each one separately. Each one is around $99 but I paid with the option to pay $30 a month. I didn’t think it was too bad especially because I watch an episode(s) everyday so I definitely get my money’s worth. She cheers me up all the time!
snickpickle the $99 is on the time life website. You could probably find one cheaper on amazon out eBay. I got a couple dvds off of eBay. The time life website has a $299 option but I didn’t get that. I think that’s just if you want an personalizes autographed set
A missing pocket! :-P
Brought back old memories 🤗🤗and what fantastic comedy!!😂😂😂😂
Don Adams 🤣👌
Lol...luv it! Always nice too go bk in time.thanx utube.❤✊👍
I've been seen this one before. Hilarious!
Brilliant skit.
Hilarious!! ... ...( Don Adams from the classic show " Get Smart " back in the day written by Mel Brooks and Buck Henry.).
i saw this sitting in the doctor’s office for my brother’s appt, lol! this is hilarious! 😭😭😭💀 also i would KILL to have the dress she’s wearing in this episode, hehe
Incredibly hilarious!
I ❤️ Carol Burnett
Funny stuff, very simple with no frills. Just oldtime comedy at it's best.
Mindblowingly awesome outstanding acting
Loved this!
Carol I think was on an episode of Get Smart, playing a potential love interest of Max. When I was in high school I knew this one guy who looked and acted exactly like Maxwell Smart (except he had blonde hair). He was ALWAYS in trouble with school authorities.
Some papers she got from the bank just to bring home to throw away. 😂🤣😂. The cop asking the question and husband's response was 1964 being an ordinary year. 😂🤣😂.
@Dehydrated Water But she somehow knew to leave the Marriage certificate behind in the safe deposit box? So she must have LOOKED at them (love the username)
The funniest episode of "Get Smart" is Season 3, Episode 7 "One of Our Olives is Missing " with Don Adams and Carol Burnett together...November 4, 1967
I'll look for it. Thanks.
I agree, hilarious, especially the ending. Got to find that episode. Might ask for the series for Christmas if I can't find it.
Yeah I've seen that one
I don't believe I ever saw that particular episode. I'll have to look and see if RUclips has Get Smart episodes, because I REALLY want to see that one.
“ALRIGHT Clare alright, alright!” That’s a voice from the past!
I never knew Don Adams was a guest on the CBS.
David Lari CBS, (the Carol Burnett Show)
I didn't know either!
Judging from the hair styles, this must have been an early episode.

Carol guest starred on an episode of Get Smart too XD.
