      I just couldn't figure out the rib stich. I was ok with the back rib but the second ring from the front I couldn't figure out. I just finished it as a single crochet ❤. I love my beanie. Now i have a hat to match my scarf❤

    I've been looking all over RUclips, for someone to teach me how to make this Hat with a 5.5mm Crochet Hook, and all I could find was those who used a 5mm Hook. So, thank you! I will be donating them to the Homeless Shelters in my area, since Winter is fast approaching.

    4:22 double crochet increase two DC, one DC ,one DC two DC
    6:00 30 stitches two DC , one, one. One, two
    8:40 37 stitches two DC, one, one, one, one two
    17:20 59 stitches one DC in each stitch for 4 to 5 more rounds.

      Note to self, this didn't work well with the wool blend as it can't be machine dried and stretches when washed.

    Great tutorial. Easy to follow. Except I kept ending up with 58 stitches when I got to the double crochet single rows. Lol. Still looks cute but idk what I may have done. Lol.

    I live in the Cal desert so I know heat....I cannot take really cold climates. Even Berkley and Oakland where I was raised is too chilly for me. Your pattern is very nice.

    If you have even number of double crochet, won’t you also have an even number when adding a double crochet, why do you end up with an odd number after adding

    Trying to follow the instructions for the ribbed brim was hard to follow. The back post was easy to see, but the front post was difficult. Couldn't see past the instructors fingers and could not differentiate the stitches even after slowing the playback speed settings.

    On the row that has 5 dc in 1 and then on the 6th one 2DC..You said that our st count should be 52. I've frogged it multiple times and Im still coming up with 51. Ive even frogged it back to 3rd row to make sure my st count was correct. What am I doing wrong or is it supposed to be 51 sts on round 5

      For an adult hat I would say 15 rows depending on the size of the person's head

      Yes, I believe i used a 5.5mm hook, try using a 5mm or a 4.5mm

      Size 4 unless you want it chunky

      This is adult, but stopping at the 2nd or 3rd increase should work
