    Made this and followed directions to a T, realized that it wasn’t nearly large enough to fit my small head so I just kept going. Then realized it wasn’t long enough to have an edge to flip so I added one! In the end it turned out good! Learned that just because there are directions, doesn’t mean it’ll fit lol.

      It may just be that you have a much tighter tension than I, so if you wanted to try again you could try and loosen your tension or use a larger crochet hook! So glad you were able to make it work for you though!

    Doing this with size 3 yarn and 5.5 mm hook. I added more length but might not be enough for the fold. Already in too deep before I noticed might just figure out how to crochet a edge to fold up . But it’s coming out super cute otherwise! Great use for my gifted Christmas yarns

      Glad you're enjoying it! Once you're done the beanie you could do a few rounds of single or half double crochets around the bottom to create a brim!

      Glad you enjoyed it! You could do less stitches across to make this brimless!

    Hi, FYI - your voice is so low during the video so I had to crank up my volume to hear you BUT then ads come on too loud! Can you adjust YOUR volume so it's the same as the ad volume??? Thanks for the tutorial, a great hat!

    Would ch36 for medium size make it a lot shorter in height compared to the normal ribbed beanie which you chain 47 for medium size. Thanks

    How many yards of yarn would this take approximately?

    • @TheTurtleTrunk
      @TheTurtleTrunk  3 года назад +2

      It takes approximately 125-150 yards depending on the size you're making

    I don’t know what I did wrong, but making an adult hat needed to be way shorter and it’s so loose fitting that it falls over my face

    • @TheTurtleTrunk
      @TheTurtleTrunk  10 месяцев назад

      You may just have a looser tension than I do, you can either work less rows/stitches to make it smaller or use a smaller crochet hook!
