Reloaded 277 Fury to 308 Win

In this video we took a .277 Fury cartridge apart and created a .308 Win cartridge from it. We loaded it with Accurate 2230 powder and a 125 grain Hornady hollow point match bullet and got this thing smoking fast. Please don't try this at home. But enjoy.

Interesting, I would like to see how this performs in relation to 300 magnum cartridges with 180-200+ grain bullets. If this could be done safely and easily, the 308 with this ammo would make most 300 magnums pointless for hunting

I don't know what your pressures are but I'm not sure that two lug bolt is up to the task.I would be checking for cracks before failure.

That was impressive speeds i did a ladder test with the 169 smk in standard.308 brass and got 2905fps

It’s not the speed as much as the material of projectile…

@@WesternReloader I don't totally agree with that and tungsten is hard to come by. Second to that speed is the only other thing that defeats body armor.
