Q: How did you make that? What editing software do you use?
A: I use Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro & After Effects. Photoshop for image editing and thumbnails. Premiere Pro for compositing and After Effects for motion graphics (the fancy animations). - Игры
important to note the cheats used were server side and not as good as real cheats. the experiment cheaters could headshot around 50% of the time with aimbot but real cheaters get around 95% heatshots with cheats and can shoot people behind them while the experiment cheats only shoots people close to your crosshair. this means spies could backstab aimbotting snipers
How many real cheaters to beat real players?
@@SpyGuy13 hello my shy fellow
Oh that makes sense. I was starting to wonder where Shounic got all these cheaters from lol
@@SpyGuy13still probably like 50. maybe 30 bots

So you're saying the ultimate anti cheat is having such chaotic lobbies that it doesn't even matter? Engie was the perfect life form all along.
Back before the bit epidemic it was a well known facta few coordinated engiees with supporting team like Uber soldiers and such would stop chesters in their tracks
And of course in the botpocalypse we know that sentry crawling can save you from the spin bots by holding corners and objectives
WOOOOOOO
Yes, and this whole thing could've been avoided if people just nutted up and played medic more often.
Played during this experiment as a cheater, wanted to add my two cents. The aimbot was basically a double edged sword that made half of the team go sniper to take advantage of it, but snipers themselves are easily countered with sentries, endless explosive corner spam, and vaccinator medics. So the rest of us still had to use the other classes that didn't really benefit at all from the cheats to support them, which wasn't really nearly enough to get through the last point on 5cp, even while it was 50v50.
Heavies benefits almost as much as sniper
@@vyor8837Damage falloff is large
Yeah I was about to say. Blue stacks sentries, get ignored through sheer numbers. Red stacks sentries, cannot be touched. Why? Blue doesn’t want to play demo.
of course, aimbot vs integrated aimbot
I think lightly homing rockets for soldiers is an easy way to recreate soldier aimbots w/o too much lag

I wonder if "the aimbot test" could be used to usefully litmus test maps for sniper sightlines. If you crank up Sniper's effectiveness by several times, any nasty positions are going to be found an exploited pretty quick, which would let you adjust them.
You want every point to look like Foundry last?
Sounds like a pretty good idea, sniping is a measurement of how much the opponent is willing to ignore you.
i cant stop giggling at the flood of scouts running to the points
2:25 it’s like hearing the calls of birds
Remember the alamo!
If the non-cheaters were competitive in a 50v50 the experiment wasn't working.
That just shows both how TF2 was designed well in terms of giving players options to counter cheaters and how it was designed poorly in terms of generating stalemates.
Also important to note is that this is, most certainly, not how actual TF2 matches would go down.
1, as others have stated, the cheats are much more mild in this than real cheats, due to being recreated in sourcemod and not actual hacking
2, since the legit team knew theyd be facing off against an entire team of cheaters, they played according to this knowledge - Stacking over half of your team as engis on last point almost certainly wouldnt happen in a real lobby if you thought you were dealing with real players. Same with having 10 engies building level 3s on fucking harvest.
3, The entire blu team being cheaters may have genuinely negatively impacted their chances. Since everybody had aimbot, they all wanted to play the classes that would benefit from aimbot - so all snipers / heavies. Whereas in a real match, one single cheating sniper would likely pick off some crucial enemy players, and then the rest of their team - medics, soldiers, demos, heavies - would do the actual objective push.
@@TheTdw2000Lol, Valve didn't design TF2 with cheaters in mind. The fact that cheaters aren't so oppressive in TF2 is because the game isn't so hitscan oriented like Counter-Strike.
@@Aelfraed26 Also there are items that are good against cheaters like vacc or fists of steal
@@TheTdw2000 No, the cheats are havily nerfed, there isn't aimbot, there isn't spinbot.
Even the thumbnail is innacurrate.
3:05 medic with the ralsei objector is my hero
Honestly, I really like the 100 player Cheater Vs Players series just for some of the implied effects of the experiement on a real game by dividing the 100 man figures by 10 - an example, let's say there are 10 players per side, a 20 Player server: Harvest essentially gets shut down if 3.5 players are cheating. Basically, 3 outright cheaters and 1 Player deciding to assist by being medic (or a bot medic) shuts down the average Harvest game completely and basically denies the other 26 Players an actual game, or 1 player cheating joins and 5 other players on your team form a majority to not kick the cheater or support them/play around them, which essentially holds the server hostage and requires the other half of Blu to essentially throw/support Red by hindering the 1 cheater in other ways, with the best option being Truce Trolling - enabling Red to spawncamp the cheater into quitting the match while every Engineer on the server becomes friendly and karkotsky kicks loudly outside the window to induce mental trauma.
I personally hope we get other maps and modes in the series, I'd LOVE to see the popular meme stalemate maps such as Hightower, 2Fort or Turbine be in Players vs Cheaters, those 2 maps are lousy with Cheaters on Casual and finding out how many it takes for the server to go south into Texas and have a Intel Room Alamo standoff might be fun
I doubt it scales like that. 😅

I'm genuinely curious about real bots - where any sight line for any amount of time is an instant head-shot.

With how the long-sightline maps went, I'd love to see this experiment run on Wutville (though I don't know if a 100 player server on Wutville is even possible)
The shot at 2:42 is just hilarious to me for some reason.
i gotta see how it goes in wutville where the sightlines are *extremely* egregious
I'm convinced by this point that you'll never run out of things that Gaben can say.
Something people didn't mention is... the scouts still weave back and forth despite fighting cheaters. That's interesting, like muscle memory.
Very cool!
Yeah, it's completely unsurprising that stacking engineer is about as busted in 100 player-servers as it is in any other kind of server.

in a real scenario, I imagine that the number of cheaters/bots needed is 10 for Koth and still impossible to beat the alamo.

My ape brain activates when I hear "The Alamo" then see 30 fucking engineers dancing
You should do the same thing but without sniper
You should make a compilation of those gaben clips at the end of your videos
The almo is basically
“If we have both aimbot then what’s the point of aimbot cheats?”
You should have used Gaben's "Ownage~"
It is posible to create the 4 teams gamemode from tf2 classic on tf2?
Next time try Wutville! I want to see how few snipers it takes to defend the cart.
Id add a much much higher random crit rate for the cheaters btw, makes it more realistic for soldier demo and heavy especially

Hackers versus the Alamo lmao.
make a video about "what happens when you add hl2's gameinfo in tf2's hl2 folder?".

It's fascinating how the "cheater" team focuses on attack bonuses like kritz while the other team focuses on defensive items like the vaxxinator and uber rushes.
Probably to counter "cheater" team's snipers with high headshot rate than legit which almost force crit negation weapons. Also kritz is more effective if you don't miss most of the time so "cheater"'s kritzkierg medic is more useful assuming they didn't get spawncamped or meet 29 engineers with wrangler and rescue ranger on last.
So... It's possible to get a stalemate against 50 hypothetical cheaters with 50 legit players
As long as you only play shitty gamemodes like 5cp which are designed to stalemate.
Yeah, and as long as the cheats are from 2007. (If you want a good idea of what's possible nowadays just lookup cathook) (yes ik the cheats being used in the video were from a server plugin.)
@@TheTdw2000 Yes but 5CP is for competitive 6s, not 12 vs 12.If you see any 6s match, it almost never end in stalemate while 12 vs 12 or more end with stalemate. Also there is CTF which is more stalemate likely than that even in 6s (i am looking at you Turbine).
@@TheTdw2000cry harder
On top of the cheats themselves not being as good as a true aimbot, the amount of powerful or outright required utility and classes in TF2 that don't benefit much at all from hacks is very high. So much so, the overall advantage is low enough that the results are usually surprisingly near a 50/50 game.
*that one closet cheater on the legit team*
turns out Harvest favors aimbots
So you beat aimbotters with aimbots of you own
Sometime you should try CTF with this TFC unnoficial rule: one team tries to capture, while the other defends the inteligence.
Sourcepawn amateur developer here, there's a bunch of cheats that real software has that can be implemented in (a more or less scuffed form in) sourcemod that'd provide a bigger advantage to the cheating team.
Some game changers I could think of that aren't hard to implement are Auto Airblast and Crit Hack (where random crits are stored for later, as implemented in the third part of your crit explanation video).
(The auto airblast may be very resource consuming on a 100 player server, but maybe it's doable, it's still surprising to me how far you maanged to push the limits of TF2.)
