I really enjoyed Baahubali 1+ 2, but I wouldn't say that the symbolism or the story was hard to understand at all.

INDIAN cinema is described as before Bahubali & after Bahubali, after the Bahubali regional movies got enough respect & recognition, & it gave confidence to all filmmakers across the country to make movies at that grand scale with earsing all the language barriers with in the nation.
I saw this the last day it was in theaters when it was released. 10:30 in the morning, only person in my screening and it was the most fun I had at the movies all year. So glad you're checking these out, keep it up!

The Ship on air sequence was not literal but a metaphorical, as was the sequence where Bahubali runs like a Speedster in the pindari attack sequence.

I'm French fan of Indian cinema, I started following your for your Harry Potter reactions. Since RRR a lot of westerners are starting reacting to Indian movies, I checked out quite a lot of channels and I disliked most of them lol but your reactions are great! I hope you keep reacting to more Indian movies, there is so much to explore!
Some recommendations:
*Eega* which was Rajamouli's blockbutster 3 years before Baahubali. It's contemporary fantasy. Very fun and unique!
*Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy* it's a Telugu period/action drama with the lead role playesd by Chiranjeevi, a very popular actor who is Ram Charan's dad! The movie is based on the life of a real freedom fighter. Chiranjeevi did a lot of his own stunts.
*3 Idiots* an iconic comedy with a mesage about the education system
*My Name Is Khan* also an iconic social drama with SRK who is the most popular actor in India
*Bajrangi Bhaijaan* dramedy written by Rajamouli's dad (who also wrote Baahubali and RRR), it was a blockbuster in 2015
*Sita Ramam* a big romance, one of the biggest Telugu hits last year
*Ponniyin Selvan* period drama by one of the most renowned Indian directors (Mani Ratnam). Based on a big series of novels. Part 2 is coming out in theaters this month.

It nice that you gave a shoutout to Rana Daggubati who played the villain Bhallaldeva..infact this was him playing against his type...he is also a very popular actor in the movie industry and he could have easily played Baahubali because he was playing the leading charming man roles till then..also his first movie was only 4 years before this movie..so i could have seen him playing the main role, but he ended up doing the villain role and he was amazing in it and i think people generally forget about that...also its kind of sad that his movie are not doing very well after Bahubali concluded even though i think he is a capable actor

Baahubali 2 is my go-to party movie, especially if the people haven't seen it. People going into this movie blind in a social environment lose their shit the second Baahubali comes in and clotheslines an elephant with a giant statue, and it's only uphill from there.
anyone who's wondering why he had to act cool with a weapon before dying, it's not because he wanted to act cool its because in ancient India anyone who was a Kshatriya(Ruling/warrior Clan) wasn't supposed to die without a weapon in their hand, else it's disgraceful for their identity.

I recommend watching Sardar Uddham next. This is movie is based on a true story on british colonisation of India. It's a masterpiece. You should definitely check it out.

Bhallaldev was like 45-50 during the final fight and still folded Amrendra until the plot armor kicked in. This would be a slaughter if he was in his prime . He was a shitty king but he would have made a great war general.

I think you would maybe like the KGF movies. The story is more complicated and fast paced, but amazing. It's not really got fantastical elements like Baahubali. Its definitely more grounded but still pretty over the top, in the best way ofc.
Don't worry about the language. Like I get the need to use authentic language, it's like anime , you can watch in English or OG language with English subtitles. Don't be sorry vkunia . You are good at this . Been watching you since your marvel and star wars days

For your next Indian movie reaction, I recommend you to watch 'Kaithi (2019)' and 'Vikram (2022)' both are Tamil language films from Kollywood film industry. Watch Kaithi first and after that watch Vikram because both are part of the same cinematic universe. Yep, like MCU and DCEU in Hollywood, Tamil film industry now has a cinematic universe too. We call it LCU - Lokesh Cinematic Universe, and it consists of these two movies 'Kaithi' (2019) and 'Vikram' (2022). The director of both movies is 'Lokesh Kanagaraj' so the name LCU was given by us fans. These two movies are super fun. You should definitely watch them!!!
