Lakshman's sacrifice is not talked about enough. He left his mother and wife and served Ram and Sita for 14 years. He'd stay up at night and stand guard for 14 years! The only time he slept in 14 years was when he was struck by Meghnad.

Fun Fact : The Swayamwar(Ceremony of Choosing a Groom by the Bride) and the Challenge of Lifting Shiva's Bow was decided for Sita's Husband because of a Very Interesting Fact. Shiva's Bow had been passed down the generations as a Family Heirloom preserved and respected for ages, When Sita was 6 years old and was shown the bow she was shown how the royal family tended to it and cleaned it, later on while playing she reached the same room where the bow was kept and accidentally picked it up at the young age of 6, hence it was decided by her father that when the time comes, her husband could only be the one who could do the same feat.

Because our 'intellectual'🦧 politicians thought it would be disrespectful to show the holy Ramayan through animation. Because the thought animation as just light-hearted cartoon for Kids😂....Anyway this is the most epic thing and I can't even tell how many times we Indians used to watch it. So, this was our most beautiful childhood nostalgia and my exposure to even Ramayan for the first time in life. Ram asks Laxman to verify if they belonged to Sita, showing him the earrings, bracelets, to which Laxman beautifully replies:

Even Shree ram who was the Perfect Being in all of us got decieved by a golden deer..There is no golden deer in this world but he still ran towards that".. She wanted to explain that Sometimes Maya plays a important role to move your life to greater good.. Follow the path of Dharma.. She is no more she died when i was a small kid.. but i remember this line and I hope everyone agrees to it and also apply to their life ♥

Long ago, when Dasaratha was a young king he was a skilled bowman. He could hit the aim by sound alone. Once when on a hunting expedition, by the river Sarayu, the young king heard a sound like the rilling of a water-jar or the roaring of an elephant. Then he shot an arrow in the direction of the sound, for it was dark, so that nothing could be seen and soon after heard moans and cries, and the king found a hermit named Shravan Kumar by the bank, pierced by his shaft. Shravan Kumar told the king of his estate and bade him seek his aged parents in the hermitage near by, and therewith he lost is breath, and left the king lamenting for his sin. Dasaratha then sought his father and his mother, who were anxious in mind because of their son's delay, and confessed to them his deed; and the rishi, who by his curse might have burned him to a cinder, spared his life since he freely told him all that had befallen. But when the funeral pyre was ready, and those aged ones, called by a vision of their son, burned their bodies with his upon the pyre, they cursed the king saying that in the end the king of Ayodhya should meet his death by grieving for a son.

*Not so Fun fact: This movie was banned and never screened in Theatres in India due to protests by Bajrang Dal and VHP. Ultimately it had to be produced in Japan, and was later released in Hindi Dub on Cartoon Network almost 10 years after it was originally made.*
*Oh well, the reason of protest you ask? The VHP and other Hindu groups did not want the foreigner Japanese to make animated portrayal of Hindu Gods and had doubts over reimagining of the story by Japanese, even after several screenings and reassurance by the Japanese makers. Oh and this was during the time of various riots and Ayodhya moment, so the government paused the release*

Lord Hanuman has a lot of backstory that is not covered in this movie. I suggest watching Hanuman and the Return of Hanuman animated movies next.
As a kid, Hanuman tried to eat the Sun, thinking it was a mango. Lord Indra protected the Sun by striking the little Hanuman with his ultimate weapon, Vajra. This knocked him out cold.
Hanuman's godfather, Lord Pawan (God of Air) caught him when he was falling to the Earth. He got angry and sucked away Earth's entire atmosphere, suffocating the living beings.
Seeing this, the Gods panicked and implored him to return the air. Lord Indra apologised for his mistake and Lord Pawan returned the air.
Lord Brahma healed Hanuman and then every God present there blessed with a special power. That's when he got blessed with invincibility, protection against harm from all natural elements, super strength, shape shifting powers etc.
As a kid, Hanuman was very mischievous. He once pranked a sage using his powers, and then the sage cursed him that he will forget about his powers.
Later Lord Shiva mitigated the curse by saying that his powers will return once someone reminds him of his powers.
When they were at the tip of India, looking for Ravan and needed to cross the ocean, Jamvant the Bear King reminded Hanuman of his powers, thus lifting the curse

This is just the only 5 % of actual ramayana the real ramayana starts after ram becomes the king and on a random day goes on a stroll of his kingdom on his chariot to and sees a drunk washerman horrendously beating his wife in public as she didnt return home last night for some reason..... ram questions the act of the washerman but the drunk washerman in return tell ram that he is nobody to question him as his own wife was in a captive for such a long time with raavan and god knows what raavan did to her....following which a whole set of controversial things happen has ram banishes the pregnant sita from the kingdom and she spends her entire life living in the forest in a small hut of a sage called valmiki where she gives birth to ram's son luv and then kush......when they grow up they fight against their father and ram loses the only battle of his life to his own sons stating that the dharma was with Sita.....then sita had ro mediate the war and ram meets her after many years as she proves her chastity and asks the earth to earth to submerge her in earth if she has been a faithful wife and she gets swallowed by the earth.... sita who was born from inside the earth when his father was plowghing the field gives up her mortal self by going back to the earth and ascends back to the heavens and ram gives his kindgdom to his sons and walks into the river sarayu and gives his life and ascends to heaven too...Its quite controversial why ram banishes her just because of a washerman and the crowds talks but still no movie or series as guts to tell the entire story on the big screen... i missed a lot of the important things as the comment will become too long so do read it if u can

    • @vib2119

The common washerman is the voice of the people. It is what common people think, and it is the duty of a king to put his personal things aside for the public they rule. Remember Ram ji said that without Sita ji, even heaven is unsatisfactory for him. He loved Sita ji but had to left her go, to let Dharma play out the story that was necessary to set an example. So in the future we see Ram ji as the bad guy for doing that, and in turn see the common people that do such things to their wives as bad as well. And we see Sita ji and her sons as the ones who were good and righteous, and in turn we see women who fight back against such things as good.
Even Sita ji does similarly. She could have gone back to Ram ji with Hanuman ji but she chooses to stay and let Ram ji, Laxman ji and all their allies suffer the harshness and brutality of warfare to set an example about what happens when you take someone's love away from them. In the end that is what Ramayan is about, setting examples for the future generations about what is right and what is not.
