I used to live right next to a corn field. Every time they worked in the field with the big machines, it would scare a lot of field mice and a few would end up in my home. My cat would catch them and decided the best place to play with them is on my bed. Imagine waking up in the middle of the night by having a small furry animal scurrying across your leg or belly, followed by the cat pouncing after it with claws extended. I would freak out, then refuse to go back to bed until I stripped the bed and made sure it wasn't hiding amung my sheets. Soooo glad I no longer have to worry about that.
Omg that explains why my aunts new built home were getting mice! They were running around crazy! In her rice bucket, under my grandmas blanket, and in bags of food!!
I actually have woken up to a mouse on my foot once. I was at a sleepover with several of my cousins and we were all sleeping on the basement floor with blankets and pillows. I think I was 7 or 8 years old at the time? I woke up in the middle of the night because I felt something tickling the top of my foot and I thought one of my younger cousins was trying to be funny or something by messing with my foot so I kind of just muttered “(Cousin’s name), stop” without even sitting up all sleepy, but when nothing happened I sat up and saw there was a small mouse sitting on my foot. I started screaming bloody murder and flailed my leg up, rocketing that poor mouse across the room where it ran behind a tv. My scream was so loud it woke up both of my cousins parents on the second floor who where in the basement no sooner than I’d flung the mouse across the room, probably thinking we were being murdered or something. - Looking back, I think the poor thing was as frightened as I was and while I have no clue what it was doing sitting on a child’s foot (maybe it was cold and trying to cuddle? xD) I do feel bad it because if it happened today I probably would just saw ‘Awww’ and go back to sleep while trying not to disturb the mouse lol Important note, they didn’t have mice infestation. The basement window had a deep Egress that the mouse had fallen into. For some reason or another, the window was either open at the time or opened later and the mouse got in that way. I’m 21 now so the details are fuzzy since this was a long time ago now.
Protecting your data is crucial. It's surprisingly easy for someone to track you down, even if you've searched for yourself online and found nothing. Your information could still be out there. As a genealogist, I've helped a lot of people locate missing family members. In most cases, I've been able to find detailed information like names, addresses, phone numbers, household members, neighbors, employment details, home ownership status, credit history, arrest records, and more. It is important to stay safe online!
This video was fun! The goats are super cute, and Pepper is so fluffy! By the way, we suggest that you put chocolate in the rat trap. Rats love chocolate, even though it kills them. Thanks for the video!
Kevin you are a pro milking !! The baby goats are so big. DeNelle if you brush Willow all that winter coat will come off in that way she won't get that hot. Sending blessings from Michigan ❤
Not all cats are expert hunters. We had an Orange Tabby boyo who was brilliant at Hunting - field mice, the occasional squirrel, and the big black water bugs that are the oversized cousins to cockroaches which come in thru the heating ducts into the bathroom, never the kitchen. Note, we live in an apt on the third floor of our bldg, the squirrel came in up the vent in the kitchen under the sink! However, the larger, older Black Domestic/Maine Coon mix cat we had was terrified of anything living that wasn't a human or another cat. Kakarot went after things, Spook ran from them. Our current girls are hunters, but we've blocked off access points we dealt with things entering the apartment thru in the past, so they have never been tested. Each cat is different. Try an orange tabby - great natured and good hunters of toys or live prey!
If you know someone with a Terrier they were bred to catch rats, maybe see if there's a local Terrier club, especially the Jack Russell Terriers can still do what they were bred for.
Thank you for an all around account of the farm, and some delicious pizza! I laughed when you said it’s a little warm, it’s about 87! That’s pretty hot where I’m from!! ❤️🐐
The best kind of rat-mice traps I’ve used are the flip buckets. They have them on Amazon and all you do is get a few five gallon bucket and fill it up about halfway with water, put together the flip top trap and smear some peanut butter on the flip part and I’ve caught so many mice and rats overnight, just a little tip from a Rez farmer lol
Our cat was a city boy that would get the only kind of mice we get were the small field mice. But we moved to the country and he tried getting the rats but he tries but plays with them but seems they always get away. I hope he gets the hang of getting the rats.
My elderly cat (19) that passed last yr she used to catch and kill mice, rats and birds. The rats used to jump at her and she did get bitten a couple of times and required vet treatment but it didnt deter her from catching them it really does depend on the cat
We just had to deal with rats for the last few months. My outdoor cats weren't able to get under the house to get them. My cat Moonfrye found one of their entrances, and within a week, we are rat free. Not all cats hunt, but some cats do and will avidly hunt rats. My cats Moon and Chloe camped both entrances caught and killed a few, and the others ran for their lives.
As a prior rat / mouse breeder, my rats LOVED cat/dog food, tuna, chicken, graham crackers/cookies in general. My father once got a mouse in his car who stole all his chocolate covered granola bars. Rats will eat just about anything but they are so smart, and curious, so even if you just change up what's around the traps it could help but, I would move the traps around too.
Rats apparently also like Hot Mamas, those spicy pickled hotlinks. My dad bought a jar of them and gave them to my husband. They chewed a hole through the bottom of the giant plastic jar and pulled hotlinks out while we were gone on a long camping trip. 😅😅
Like a have a dog (she's a Chihuahua mix with something) and she catches all the rats in home, she's old now and isn't as effective so we got a cat, but this cat is useless, cute though but useless
Rats also love Chocolate candy, Doritos & Cheese puffs. The Hardest part of having kids, Is when they grow up. I'd take the no sleep newborn stage & terrible two's any day!
That’s some mighty fine looking pizza! 3 days weeding 😮🙌 my hats off to you. Sometimes the harder way is smarter, and it’s a job well done. It looks amazing. Could a new ‘ratter’ dog be in your future? Or maybe a ginger cat? We all know how bonkers ginger cats are, they have a penchant for larger prey. I still don’t know how a great big wood pigeon fits through a little cat flap?!! 😂 Night time around the pond, good food, good company... perfect vibes to end the day! Thanks for sharing, and good luck to Junebug. Take care guys🕊🇬🇧
There is a farm next to where my school is and there is a goat in there that looks exactly like Luna same color of fur and the same ears but I couldn't tell if it was a boy or girl because it was far away from the fence
Oh that pizza yum!! Kevin has improved with his milking. He needs to aim better in the bucket though because there is nothing worse than spilt milk. He was very entertaining.
Our old cat used to catch all the mice and "play" with them in our living. Our two living cats have found none(thankfully) but i dont think we could rely on the. 😅
Not all cats are mouse hunters. The cat I had would sometimes get mice, but then when she got spayed, she became lazy, and didn’t do much, and the only time she would get a mouse is if it would get near her food and water dishes. Other than that, she wouldn’t even care. I would suggest finding a cat to have or even borrow for awhile from a farm who is like a pro mouser. And would get even rats. I know a lot of dairy farms keeps quite a number of cats around to keep the rodents at bay. But another suggestion is finding a cat that could be an indoor outdoor cat. One who likes to be inside and outside. That’s just my thoughts. Sorry about your back. Hope it’s gotten better. Stay awesome. ❤️
The ratinator trap is the best I've tried. I have chickens in an urban setting and started to get some rat issues, but the trap really has helped. It's made to catch several rats at once which for some reason lures other rats to join in the trap. The most I've had in the trap at once was five.
in the last 25 years we have had probably 10 to 12 cats both indoor and outdoor and only three were mousers. The first 2 were great at it and the semi-feral cat that had kittens quit mousing as soon as she realized we were going to feed the kittens. None ever caught a rat but we never had rats in the house so i dont know if they could or not. The neighbors cat caught rabbits which can bite and scratch.
I don't comment to often but I laughed out loud so hard I started to cough!! While y'all were in the closet I was wondering if it was part of a spin the bottle game with the seven minutes of heaven?
in the past at a farm i worked at we used pepperonie , chorizo an chocolate the smelly the food the better an it was chocolate with carmel in it because it was sticky an sweet
When I had a long hair cat he chased nothing but was hard work he matted easily especially under the arms. Had to groom him all the time my best catcher was a short grey who when bail moved caught one mouse under each paw then one in mouth and killed by a quick bite. She was part something beginning with e something royal Egyptian maybe I cannot remember amazing.
People coming to your house uninvited is creepy as hell. The sheer audacity.
*HEY PEOPLE* Don’t show up at the home of content creators!! It’s rude, inconsiderate and disrespectful!😐
It's also really creepy.
@@shanna1534 Absolutely! People form this friendship; in their heads; with the creator. Meanwhile the creator has no idea who they are.
Not to mention it could be dangerous…… for both parties.
Kevin’s breathing technique while milking = priceless
I wanna see if there is ever a time that Wynonna isn't screaming 😂

@jenuinelyyours tell her to get a couple of cats. You still get the occasional mouse, but they don't stick around for long. Lol

Kevin milks goats the way I build pretty much anything. A for effort 😂
Try taking a brush and brushing willow because sometimes as animals get older they have a hard time shedding properly
Kevin I'm so proud of you you're milking the goats you're doing it yay Kevin
I just got recommended this channel and just wanted to say that your channel name is fantastic 😂 absolutely stellar
Kevin is doing so much better with milking!
Always a pleasure to visit Danelle and Kevin and share their adventures.
both of my cats catch rats, one left a headless one right outside of my bedroom door to the back deck, luckily on the outside part.
Kevin doesn’t have to know how to milk the goats ….. he does so many more important things…..❤
Yay Kevin! You are milking!!😊
Kevin's milking skills have really improved and Willow needs a good brushing. The pizza looked amazing. Thanks for sharing.
Ok Kevin great job❤❤❤
Rats are super smart. You need to place the traps in different places several times a week to trick them.
My cat likes to hang out with me while I'm weeding the garden. Then she will bring me a pile of weeds since I "collect" them.
That is adorable.

Cats learn to hunt and kill from their mothers teaching them. It isn’t totally a natural thing. Just learning to be a parent isn’t all natural.
If you know someone with a Terrier they were bred to catch rats, maybe see if there's a local Terrier club, especially the Jack Russell Terriers can still do what they were bred for.

Kevin’s Shirt at the end 😂😂😂 “ no estoy pa na!” . It represents Kevin so well!

Luna listens to Spanish??!!!? 🤣 that’s adorable.
I just love Luna and Willow
I am waiting for Mother Luna to start heading up midnight mass in spanish. Winona will head up the choir and sing all the solos, of course.

Go buy KFC I would
Get a slicker brush with the release button on it for Willow, it would take care of it fast and easy

good job kevin, love the progress 🤣
Love it!! You have a beautiful farm!
The babies are looking great
Don’t forget to put a barrier between the frame and concrete floor to avoid moisture build up (mold).
I was wondering where she was.
Watching his face is hilarious. Not bad Kevin!
Congratulations Kevin 😂😂😅😅 youve got it 😊😊
Nope, I couldn’t be your neighbor when the kids are little 🙉🙉🙉😂😂😂
All that bleating would give me an Excedrin headache. Wonder what the neighbors nearest the babies think. 😂

Reese's peanut butter cups are the best bait! I caught 6 mice just today!

I love seeing Kevin try to milk 😂🤣
I use chocolate to catch mice, they love it XD
