    Passed today (28th June 2024) with 896😭✨️.
    If you're a complete rookie, you must start with this video. This is literally enough to make you pass since all questions asked in my exam were covered in some way or the other within this video itself. Doing separate tests by paying for them isnt necessary at all for PL-900...

    I love the content of the video and that it's taken from Microsoft's learning pages directly, ensuring it's accurate. It's a very clever use of AI, a robot reading the content in your voice. It's very apparent in the way the AI reads some of the words (Power BI comes out as Power Bi instead of B.I) and the cadence that it speaks at is sometimes off-putting!
    I appreciate the video and I'm looking to sit this exam soon.

    I think it's great that you did this.. One thing I can't wrap my head around when it comes to these types of certifications, exams and the ways in which they are taught is.. I'm already building and have built several Power Apps, PA Automations, and Power BI reports for the company I work at.. I can do so without any supervision, customize as needed, gather requirements, etc. But when it comes to learning in this way.. I just can't do it. I haven't passed the PL-900 despite being super proficient at using the platform. The way it's taught and you're expected to learn is so dry and rote.. It's worse than anything I had to do in University. Even here it's basically like you're reading from a text book which is to say.. why then would I need you to do it when I can just read through the documentation myself? It's testing for rote memorization and ignores a whole subset of people who learn by doing. I just don't get how this is a thing.

      For areas that are theoretical and not ‘doing’ I try to make it more interactive by having coloured pens and drawing concepts as well as playing with the tool.

    51:28, description of relationships.
    many to many... help me understand why the scenario described coming from a relational database world
    "For example, a customer could have multiple orders, and an order could involve multiple products"
    I would expect... 1 row per customer table, an order table that is either 1 row per order with an array key, 1 row per order with an order line item table, or multiple rows per order, but you'd join 1 to many from customer
    Then you'd join product from order in a 1 to many.
    Where's the many to many?

    • @lewesc
      @lewesc 4 месяца назад

      I experienced a practise question with this exact example being used and the answer was many to many.
      Unless there's a specific dataverse reasoning, i'm starting to believe this is just a question/example that has been lost in translation over the years.
      Between a stack overflow question and a microsoft access training, the example is more like this:
      A many-to-many relationship exists when one or more items in one table can have a relationship to one or more items in another table. For example:
      Your Order table contains orders placed by multiple customers (who are listed in the Customers table), and a customer may place more than one order.
      A customer can have multiple customers I think is the key missing piece of information... or product should be swapped with customer.
