I just recently purchased $750 worth of suspension pieces for my 99 Dakota, took the drivers wheel off and noticed a crack in the frame and the lower control arm mount is almost separated away from the frame so now I am out of a truck for couple weeks while it is in the body shop getting that fixed, so I borrowed my Dad's 14 F-150. That Dodge has been with me since brand new, It has been a beast for 25 years with hardly any major mechanical issues. This is the first year that I have mowed all the way into February except during that cold spell a few weeks back. This morning I had to put down my Best Bud of 12 years, my Black Lab from Cushing Disease ,along with about $4000 dollars worth of plumbing work when the freeze and hot water heater all decided to fail within a couple days of one another.....2024 is off to a good start LOL !!!!
Hope this helps you in the future. On the dip stick spout, you can spray off the brown dirt before unscrewing the dip stick. This will help keep it out of your engine.
Stet, do a search for "engine aire" prefilters. They have a unit that replaced the air intake bonnet. It cuts out 90% of the dirt before it gets to your air filters. Cost about as much as one 2 filter setup. When trading mowers swap it to the next mower. I'm not a dealer, but i may have slept at a holliday inn express !
Hey Stet! Great to see you back making some videos here and there. Quick question. What formula do you use for mulch and pine straw and also how do you measure the beds? I’m having trouble figuring out how to measure the beds especially but also what formula to use?
Perfectenschlag. It's Dewight's word from The Office isn't it? Have a friend who can't get enough of the show, and I'm sure he uses it. Have fun on the cruise 👍👍
Get a piece of 5/16 fuel line 6" long for a handle on those spark plugs. If you strip the threads sometimes you can heli coil the threads or worste case a new cylinder head. Put a small dab of high nickle anto sieze on those spark plug threads. Aluminum and steel don't play well together.
During a year, how often do you perform a complete maintenance procedure. If you had a day 1 schedule would you have a different interval during the year?
I put a dab of grease on the air filter seal and twist the air filter to seat the seal. I never blow out the inside filter and I blow out the outer filter once in 300 hours. I hook a manometer to the test port, run the engine wide open and check the restriction. If it's not dirty I never disturb the filter as it allows dirt into the engine. I change the oil once a year, same with the plugs.
I don’t know why companies can’t just put a deflector so the oil doesn’t go everywhere. My kubota excavator has a $1 piece of metal below the filter that deflects it right out the bottom but god forbid my mowers it goes everywhere
Stet, I might stop by in late April or May. Would like to talk with about an idea with you and your wife. Again Thank you for sharing and keep up the amazing work. 🙏

I'm ready for Spring myself.
good video my guy looking forward to the mowing season too begin.👍
Welcome to the club 😁
Nice video mate! That black F150 💘💘💘
Fun fact! The bottle is right side up when it pours a steady stream.
I changed all my oils in January so i am good to go!!! Good stuff!
I use a 2 cycle oil bottle for a oil filter dain pan. Cut a square on one side.
Oil extractor is worth its weight in gold! They make oil changes a breeze and virtually mess free!

I do oil changes every 100 hours and sharpen blades every week. Try to blow out the air filters daily but doesn’t always happen, lol

Did you tighten the dipstick for the 60"?
If you cross thread the plugs you can heli coil the threads
🔥🔥
I had the same exact issue on my truck. The upper hose I did myself it was easy ish
Im the same stetson. Been listening to toby Keith songs in my tuck forbabout 2 weeks now. Sad deal for sure. Just an all around good American.

Get an exmark and a shindaiwa multi tool m262 trimmer or one of there trimmers and blowers
When you change oil start then check the oil after fill
Time for some new batteries 🪫 lol great video 🎉🎉
👍👍👍👍 👍👍👍👍👍👍
You can cut the side out of a quart bottle to catch the filter oil. Just sayin'.
At 5:25 is that the stock drain plug? That would be so nice to not make a mess
Yep, that’s stock on at least some wright mowers. My 61” Stander ZK with the 37 horse Vanguard engine has that same drain valve.
