Cap could do it better because Thor now is more powerful that in that movie from the minute 5:00 ..That wasn't Cap's power it's Thor's powers, that were borrowed to him, aslong as he has the hammer he can borrow Thor's power, for the encantation that Odin put to the hammer when he cast it out Thor from Asgard sending him to earth in order to teached him a lesson, Odin in that first Thor movie strip Thor from his power "Whosoever holds this hammer if he be worthy should possess the POWER OF THOR" that's why Cap was able to do what he did and he did it better than Thor because Thor at that point was out of shape, even Tony make a reference to that when Thor offers to use the gauntlet "...I'm telling you you're in no condition" (he meant physicall condition) and they put Thor fat as a way of nerfed him, in order to make Cap look stronger, because they wanted to make it shine because apparently is his last movie as Capitan America, Cap is strong but hes no where near Thor's streght, Cap is the leader of the avengers but not the strongest, read the comics, from that team Thor and Hulk are the strongest, and Thor is very powerfull they have always nerfed him in the MCU, but even in the movies you can see that Thor is stronger than Cap.....
