WHO and MONEY ?
I started machining in 1974 on a lathe built for WWII war production. The transition from that to all CNC happened over the forty four years that I worked. Can't tell you how much better it is to work with a CNC machine tool as opposed to manual machines. I've run jobs on some of the machines shown here or at least ones similar to. The five axis mill (motorcycle helmet) looks like it could generate a monstrous expensive wreck. I retired before they got the five axis running steady, so no experience there.
Imagine showing this to someone 100 years ago.
MercilessHobo wonder what we will have in another 100 years
MercilessHobo
Let along think of what we will have in the next 5 years or so. Metal 3D printing has became a big thing for rapid prototyping. But a few companies such as DMG Mori have created a combination machine that uses interchangeable heads that first builds the structure, and then it switches it out with normal cutting tools (like in this video) to finish the part.
magic
If you look at history, the basics for machining is over 250 y. old. Not counting hand-spinning the pots and timbers. 》"The machine which made everything"
The Genius that developed that program for the helmet💪

Well yeah the programm itself is Computer generated but it requires a genius to get it all to function without breaking the whole machine
The time u spend on machining, always going to be shorter than programing
Смотрел-бы и смотрел на работу этих станков. Фантастика.
Спасибо за показ.
На самом деле не все так просто и в реальной работе мало
что видно все залито эмульсией . Это показаны ролики для залипал .
If only I could afford this kind of technology... :)
So cool man
I actually have 2 cnc lathes
You are the man, I have A cnc vacuum cleaner....................
I have a couple of these in my garage :]
Timba Wulf Osu! I think that 3d pro ring has been around since the 70s or 80s it has just gotten cheaper and therefore more popular
That motorcycle helmet was insane😱
So... Beautiful!
procrastination is why im here
ProSurviver Lol, I'm pretty sure you're not the only one (I am as well).

Great video. Thanks.
Every time I see this kind of videos I say to myself that I´d like to see the same with hard materials... ;-)
Falling in love with dis beautifully made cnc
Amazing technology!
I just got an old 1950's metal lathe and I'm happy as can be. (Just can't make one of those aluminum helmets) ; (
Thanks for sharing!
Yeah but mine 47' also still works! These modern machine will be in scrap-heap after years :)
All you need, a likely a lot better built machine. I kind of prefer manual milling and lathe work, more satisfaction - albeit slower, CNC is very cool but I have no practical need for one.
that motorbike helmet was awesome
matthew jones just a model
@@unwarranteddumbassery9263
Umm Its still awesome?!
Anyone else here just love their CNC operator job ?
I couldn't stop watching. Perfection
One of the most amazing machining videos I have seen so far.
Watching this high in class on a stormy day is why life is beautiful
learning how to work with those machines atm, its so satisfying when you wrote such a program and you watch the work. its amazing.
yeah and can be expensive (when something gone wrong!) :D
Work in furniture and I run and program cnc and seeing videos like this still amazes me
Awesome video
Geniuses, I am amazed with my mouth open.
Awesome stuff. The precision work on that helmet is just phenomenal.👍
I envy anybody who's got this type of equipment. Just awesome.
Satisfying video. I want that billet helmet so badass
I was a machinist for 40 yrs.fine video..good job
Helmet making is amazing
This 's amazing video! I could't stop watching it. :))
Got the aesthetic pleasure of seeing
Залип)
That helmet was absolutely gorgeous.
Helmet is awesome really amazing work...
That helmet was epic! I only got a boring plastic one : /
CNC Machines are amazing
that helmet is a piece of art ! wow
Reminds me I'm getting a tooth cavity filled this coming Wednesday.
Залип, нам только мечтать о таком станке)
no human will ever match what a CNC machine can do. CNCs are the ultimate sculpture
ROFL......you think these machines and program software were made by artificial intelligence?
Nice wonder machines, perfect required shapes.
I like this video .
Hypnotic!
that helmet was a work of art!
Kris Bassett I loved it, but can comprehend how the tool and base can be that in tune?
We just got a brand new Mazak 5 axis machine center and it is just incredible. We also received a tooling package from PH Horn that uses the heat shrink collets and presetter then a balancer. I have been playing around with it and every time I do I find some new feature or capability I never knew existed. Magic!
Very satisfying to watch, I can't help think of the skill of the tool setter however I suppose these machines even compensate for variations in tool profiles?
that helmet sculpture.. freaking awesome
i love this
Please make more of this amazings videos !
Magnificent
We went from banging rocks with other rocks too this.. amazing.

@@adammaalmi7338 That video sucks
Suka teringat ketika menjadi operator mesin CNC di salah satu pabrik panci di kota Bandung ......😊😊
I wanna know who made the program for the bike helmet. Absolutely incredible
And what are you going to do when you figured the name out?
My guess is that it's a team effort from "Hypermill" staff since it's a demo part.
This is a robot, and it envolves an operation of six axis or more.
Luca D.B 卅:丁,

Uploader remind us that the first day I realized how's the specialty of fanuc controller machine
magic )
Music Is very good
i love those toys u can make amaizing thing with
This video reminds me how much smarter and more technically skilled many people are than me. Why can't we get these type of people to run for president? I guess they're too smart of that.
It's actually not as clever as you might think. The machines just respond to information usually gathered from CAD drawings.
they're not as hard to operate and maintain as you would think, I'm 16 and can do it easily. most if it is learning CAD and how to draw your tool paths with different materials etc.
Its actually not as simple as you think, for making your own single piece part in your garage, maybe, but for large scale runs (or single for that matter) for intricate parts that have a tolerance down to .0001" everything comes into consideration. Tooling, 2D and 3D CAD model, machine capabilities, setup work, 4th and 5th axis milling, troubleshooting, everything. Congrats on entering the world of CNC, but here's some advice my first boss gave to me that I never understood until I went into industry after graduating with a bachelor's degree in CNC. "You don't know shit about CNC operating, always be open minded"
ZaPpaul
Interesting theory.
Bryton Pinkstaff
That's how I'm seeing it. There's probably CAD, and then there's CAD.
That helmet such beautiful and filigree... If I could have this tech...
Alloy helmet was impressive.
very nice
Wow the helmet 💞💞💞
very nice, very satisfying.
fantastic, amazing

Thank you, the helmet is the most intricate odject I have ever seen done with robotic CNC. The three dimensional table coordination with the three dimensional milling head is incredible.
For an even more intricate demo, see if you can find the Leaning Tower of Pisa cut on a Roders CNC.

I'm so old I remember the days when these things were driven by a handful of TTL chips which operated as a Digital Differential Analyser.
Now they just emulate DDAs in software.

What a great Machining.
what great grammar
This actually makes me kinda wanna get a job there
Imagine showing something like this to an iron worker of old:
"That's a weird machine for cutting wood, where do you get metal coloured wood?"
'That's high grade steel'
"but that machine cuts it like butter!"
'welcome to the future.'
They only showed aluminium here i suspect
cool fitting music

nice....
Bike helmet was amazing, good job. Worked with 5-axis and simultaneous milling, I still find it mesmerizing to watch considering the emense work behind it
Can you explain it to me?
@@armyshope simultaneous milling with a 5-axis?
All 5 axis working at the same time. Amazing to watch, especially if the table are turning :)
super 😎😎
