I agree .I've seen interesting processes as a machinist but never anything this large or complex even when i worked with cnc machines ! most of my work is 2-3 inches diameter... lol
EMAG, Niles, Klingelnberg... and others I didn't catch. This video is filled with such high quality equipment that it's insane. They have the process nailed, but the equipment they're using is also completely pro. They talk about "state of the art" and "highest precision" in the video like all the others do too, but it's the real truth here. Wow.

This sort and size of manufacturing used to be done in the UK. I did my apprenticeship at a place called Power Plant gears in West Drayton, west London. They were machining gears just as big if not substantially bigger than this until it’s closure in 1985. They used to build and assemble the gear drives for different uses all over the world.
And then company got greedy and moved the production to Asia. We all got cheap products that we can now buy but lost the jobs that maintened country's stable economy
Funny thing, when during watching the video you are wondering from which country is it, betting it's some german company, and out of nowhere at 3:30 you see computer screen in your native language :) So, if you are wondering too - it's a czech company.

When I was in the fastener business, 1020 steel was the cheapest grade of steel used to make hex head bolts. I’m not saying you couldn’t make a gear out of that material but it’s where resisting capabilities were my new compared to 4140 for example that was he treated. This very well could be a video pirated from somewhere and captions added by people who have no clue. Perhaps I’m wrong tell me where. Before you get to carried away, I deal with steelmills and among some of the material they produce is wire for roller and ball bearings.
In the 80's, the politicians of developed countries read some moronic economics ideas and went with the plan to move all this manufacturing to countries with cheaper labour. So they saw the complexity and brilliance of all this and thought that would be a great idea for the future wealth of their countries but missed the most important point - these processes developed inside the factory, not in an office or a boardroom. Innovatation happens between the engineers and the skilled workers and in the setting where ideas can arise, be tested and honed. Only a politician who has never made anything or created anything or had an original idea could think sending local manufacturing offshore would work out for the country. We can see the results now. The wealthiest countries have poverty and unemployment and we have lost our skilled people and the countries that got the factories got the economic development and the innovation. Neoclassical economics is the most devastating idea in history by scope and magnitude - and for more reasons than this - including destroying the planet
When I was making these CNC was in it's infancy. Machinists had to think back then. Unlike today where the program makes all the moves and decisions. Still though this is a fascinating procedure and post.
