Just wow! I know I need to at least hike the Washingon section of the PCT. I've not been there but hiked all around it. The popular areas are a lottery to hike there. Yes Washington is wet, that's why it's so green. But it's also why I asked you about how waterproof the Challenger is. This weekend starts the wet season and I'll be hiking and camping in the rain often. Your experience will be invaluable. Thanks for sharing and good luck on your thru hike.
AWESOME!! an HA! nice start we were backpacking in Yosemite the 16-18. Get ready for lots of big temperature swings out there!! and already looking like it will start snowing soon down in the Sierras! well we are Excited to see you on your way this is gonna be GREAT thanks for taking us with you. keep an eye out for Joshua Lamothe doing a hike4mom he's almost to the north end// PS YES LESS SEFLIE shots, turn the camera around we can still hear you!!
Awesome start to the PCT!! I didnt know about the 35 miles north then you have to come back those 35 miles to continue the PCT, either way... awesome experience. Wish I was able to thru hike the PCT soon!! Best Wishes! Will follow along fo sho! - EagleRunner AT '13
Great to see your back on the trail and man the views in just the first few miles are just awesome. Why didn't you just start in Canada and go south or you couldn't wait to get on trail? Anyways love your videos, keep hiking and happy trails.
Hi! I am watching all the hikers on the PCT this year and it made me wonder. Heading southbound, what was youre experience like with mosquitos? All of the northbounders this year are being ate up.
I didn't have it too bad with mosquitoes. I remember 2-3 really bad nights in southern Washington where I had to pitch my tent quickly to avoid being swarmed but other than that I didn't have any extraordinarily bad mosquito experiences.
I am really loving your channel so far, I appreciate all the efforts you put into making these. Plotting my 2018 now from the comfortable warmth of my home in NY. Question- how is it that you know how many miles that you have done? Do you use Guthooks or a Suunto, or just on land marks?
Great Videos Neemor. Thanks for sharing. Quick Question: how often were you able to upload PCT videos while hiking? Also did you do the editing on a laptop or on Ipad? Thanks again
+F Ortogni thanks! I edited the videos on my iPad and uploaded every couple of towns. I would usually upload 2-3 videos at a time and then schedule them to be published while I was on trail.
Neemor's World apparently there is a very steep fine of 5k if you get caught crossing the border through manning park - not the way you did it though... The only legal way is by backtracking. It’s just crazy.
+kicktotheliver when I first started hiking i was scared of bears, but after being around them i am comfortable being around them. Although if i met an angry bear i would be scared haha. Mostly bears want nothing to do with people, so they avoid them.
+Neemor's World yeah I understand I hike in New York and New Jersey and there are a lot of black bear in Jersey and I'm honestly more concerned of wild dogs then bear but a brown bear is a whole different monster.
Really excited to see you start this PCT journey. Have a great hike and we'll be watching you every step as you share videos. Thanks in advance!
Neemor rules! Super excited you're on the PCT. You're going to have an awesome time.

Cool you saw a Ptarmigan! I love those crazy mountain chickens lol. Good luck! Be safe and have fun!
+iamfirelust yeah, there were a bunch of them the past few days! They are startling when they fly away.
Best of luck. Just finished a SoBo hike on the Long Trail. Such an experience. Hike On. Niloc.
It's like the Fall TV Season is starting! One of my favorite shows is back on! So crunk to see the coming vids! Enjoy it brother!
+Mike Sides haha! I am going to try and release a video every Tuesday. But we will see how that goes 😆
I followed you from the very first AT video. Just keep walking man. Ive enjoyed them all the way over here in Japan.

+John Zahorian the views are so goooood!!!! 😄
So cool
That's awesome you had your mom there
Wish you the best.
Greetings from Germany
Very cool. I have to agree with Gary F.

Larry3043 it’s illegal to cross into the us from Canada unless at an official port so you have to go north first
Aroha?! Yep.

The views ARE AMAZING!! ..... so on any day, if it is raining, will you hike or stay in your tent or a bit of both?
+mountaincat8 lately I've been hiking in the rain. It all depends on how much food I have.
Hey Neemor, what was your start date for this hike? Im going to do a SOBO this year and I'm looking for a good date to start.
+farklemybrainsout hey! I started on July 15th.
I enjoyed your AT videos, and really looking forward to watching my first SOBO PCT trip. Why SOBO??
+ChrisfromFL thanks!
Going south just worked out with timing this year. I would have had to wait till next year if i wanted to go nobo.
I am really loving your channel so far, I appreciate all the efforts you put into making these. Plotting my 2018 now from the comfortable warmth of my home in NY. Question- how is it that you know how many miles that you have done? Do you use Guthooks or a Suunto, or just on land marks?
+Abby McCarthy hey! I'm glad you're enjoying the videos!
Yup, I used Guthook on this hike.
Thanks so much for getting back to me, much appreciated
Good luck! Just out of curiosity, is there an official border crossing where you have to show a passport?
+Joe Sugarman nope, you just walk in.
Thanks man, awesome to know! One last question, what editing program did you use?
+F Ortogni yeah, no problem! I used pinnacle studio.
Hey Neemor, have you thought about making a video in regards to the backtracking required to go SoBo?
All of Canada’s laws and regulations 😒
I haven’t really thought about it yet.
I just hiked into Canada and got a ride back via the fam.
Neemor's World apparently there is a very steep fine of 5k if you get caught crossing the border through manning park - not the way you did it though... The only legal way is by backtracking. It’s just crazy.
Are shooting on the Panasonic g7?
No. This was the Sony rx100 mk4
Hey what about the tent that you are using can you put the brand, model or sort of...? Thanks
It is the Zpacks Solplex
No I mean the one that shows up in the current video the on with forest cameo
yup, that;s the Zpacks Solplex. the camo cuben is a feature you can order.
" I made it to the trail"
As someone who just started watching your videos I got to ask, are you afraid of bears I was scared just watching the video!
Thank God no music
