- Hey Guys, welcome back for another Sly Cooper video! Sly Cooper is my favorite video game series of All-Time!! And going through a ton of fan arts, fan videos, and gameplays on the internet made me really want to do videos too on my own Sly Cooper opinions, ideas, and theories!
In this video, I will be talking about some of my least favorite Sly Cooper missions! These missions are either hard, boring, or uninteresting to me! Hope you guys like it and be sure to let me know your guys' opinion in the comment section below!!

I actually heard somewhere that Kevin Miller (the voice of Sly Cooper) actually played the first level of the game, and he nearly rage-quit during the Treasure In The Depths mission because it was so darn hard. Then he got legitimately upset because he was worried he wouldn't be able to see what the rest of the game had to offer.... I can't say I blame him. I remember watching my brother play that level, and I think he struggled quit a bit, too!
Can't say I'm surprised by Kevin's frustration with that level too lololol. It was unbearable for a lot of people I've seen 😭
I hate to brag but I got it first shot the other day and I was so proud of myself
@@Jade-vm3uh Happy for you, dude!
@@Jade-vm3uh I was playing that mission last night and I completed it on the first try
He played them on twitch actually it’s hilarious
That's a well made list bro! I remember myself breaking my controller as a kid in Murray's RC car mission.... it's a nightmare
I'm surprised you didn't add Ghost Capture mission from Sly 2, that mission in my opinion was pretty time consuming for me.
Because I would have to go around and find all the ghosts to take pictures of them.
The problem is that you have to be on the right spot to capture the ghost, or else it'll just disappear through the buildings or the end up behind something. .n.;
Love your Sly Cooper videos, keep up the good work! ^^
Oh yeah, That was definitely a time-consuming mission yo (9 freaking ghosts to capture 🤣😭). Not hard or has bad controls like some of the other missions, which is why it probrably slipped my mind, but It definitely deserves an honorable mention on this list too.
And thank you so much! Hope to have more vids coming soon!
I love that missions, it’s honestly one of my favorites!
I always had my mom beat Treasure in the Depths when I was younger, I got better at it when I got older but damn if it wasn't still tough.
That's so sweet that you're mom helped you out! ❤😭
Some of the mini games in this franchise wasnt about shit, I just wanted to get back to running on rooftops and pickpocketing guards bro why am I catching chickens. I freakin haaateed that tnt run and every mission with a gun turret
Words right out my mouth! The mini games were some of the most unbearable missions in any video game that anyone has played 😭😭
The turret missions in Sly 2 are fine but that TNT mission was hard AF and VERY VERY tedious.
Those Tank controls in Sly 2 was the unbelievable. I hate that mission with a burning passion.
Days to beat the Sixaxis missions? Yeah... that's on you not the game.
Dude I’m not even kidding. Everything you said about close to contessa was me as a kid. I would be horrified when she would chase you if you alerted the guards
Special mentions from my young dumb kid self. The mission in sly 2 in the Paris where you had to pickpocket keys from the guards. It's by no means a hard missions but for some reason I never figured out that running alerted guards until way later. That was my 1st barrier. My 2nd was in the jungle where you had to walk a red barrel into Rajan's spice machine. Flashlight guards put the fear of god in me and having to deal with them and an exploding barrel was too much, until again, way too much time later I figured out to just kill the guards 1st. My final hurdle was mentioned, that stupid dumb barrel level on the blimp. I never completed it as a kid. It wasn't until years later when I searched it up on the internet and figured it out. I finally beat Sly 2 when I bought it again on the PS3. My favorite PS mascot by far but good lord were some of these missions trying.
Bro I’m working overnight and this video made it a great shift love the videos and I’m glad to get you to 500 subs bro!
Thank you so much for tuning in!! 🙏🏾❤
Love this video . Really accurate and love sly games
I agree so much with both top choices…
The tnt run was so annoying but i found out i struggled less with it when i got older… but the training montage my god… the stuff of nightmares
Bruh, fr 😭 I still have PTSD
Respect for the content
The mission I struggled with the most believe it or not was cooper hanger defense in sly 3.
I feel like me and you would play the game freeroam very similar. Because all of your lists are the same as mine lol. But now a days I DESTROY the race missions in sly 1
good video dude, music is mixed way too loud though
Thank you for the info! I'll be sure to have that fixed for future videos!
These days whenever i replay sly 2 i just cheese the charged tnt run as bentley
I swear, every single thing in Dead Men Tell No Tales SOUNDS like a good idea on paper but they must have been so burnt out or something by then, because sooo much of it despite that was executed so poorly and felt more like a needless drag to fill time than anything
I actually DID like the Dimitri deep dive mission when I was really young, it just filled time for me exploring the ocean map while waiting for the bus n what not, but eventually like most of the others in that chapter, it got a bit boring too. The other Dimitri dive mission near the end game is probably the hardest part to beat in the entire series for me, or its realllly up there
For me, as someone whos revisited this series on and off since Sly 1 first came out itself, the hardest missions I can recall on the top of my head for me was that ^, the stupid tank controls in 2, the first race in 1, the mission in 3 where you have to shoot fireworks as Panda King to protect Murray as he drives his van, and the Clock-la Boss fight
and ig if we count 4, that one mission in Salam's episode where you play as the RC chopper, that shit ticked me off. and all of the 3 axis stuff, the thing with murray's training and the hacking missions that required it. NEVER had a good time with that stuff.
Mz Ruby's boss fight in the collection always pained me, not just because its annoying and near impossible to do without muting, but when I was a little tot, I'd play this fight obsessively like every fuckin morning, and I could do it without even looking at the screen, it was my favorite boss fight ever and that shit made little like 7 y/o me feel so cool, so when I got the HD collection and realized the fight was completely ruined, I was stung lol
Dang days to do the Bob montage mission? I did it in one try on my walk through i posted recently i didn’t think it was that hard
nail on the head with this list
People complaining about missions, but that’s the beauty of Sly Cooper. If it was all easy we wouldn’t love the game as much as we do, and challenging missions is what made us true gamers to persevere to harder games.
As an arachnophobe myself, Close to Contessa wasn't that bad, just tedious af (like many of the missions in Sly 2 ^_^) . I just did the charged TNT run mission tonight, and I hated it because of how slow and painful it was - lost track of how many times I just blew myself up out of frustration because I went the wrong way. Agree on the racing and tank missions, but I also wanna throw in any turret sections with the battle with Clock-La getting a special mention. Idk I feel like I should like these games more than I actually do, the story and characters are awesome but the gameplay I often find unnecessarily difficult and gimmicky.
What you said about TNT was so real BRUH 💀💀 And yeah, Sly is definitely a game that I believe the story/lore sells it more than the gameplay itself! But we all still love it regardless!!
The tank mission sucks SO bad!!!!!! I got stuck on it for a WEEK but I was way too exctatic when I beat it, only to find out there was another one in the operation…. 🥲
“Charged TNT Run is probably my least favorite mission in all of Sly, next to the slow “Treasure in the Depths” and the Rowboat missions were just annoying!
Im glad im not the only who hated the racing and the crabs
Dang if I don’t hate that tank mission 😡 I COULDN’T STEER THE DAMN THING. And Dmitri’s missions in 3? Ugh. Been playing Sly since release and I still yell when I play through those.
”Pirhanna lake, this mission is very similar to the crab mission. The only biggest differences is that you have to capture oily fish and light 25 candles.”
Is that not totally different haha.
Anyway great video
Arpeggios level is hard too because you know the game is over
Anything that uses motion controls can go suffocate on the vomit of their own motion sickness. They are either super touchy, not sensitive enough, or cause you to contort the controller in ways that make actually playing the thing unnecessarily difficult (yes, I'm looking at you Breath of the Wild. You're a fantastic game but MY GOD! If anyone who read this has played the game, you know exactly what I'm talking about).
Glad to see I'm not the only one who hates that motion control nonsense 🤣😭
Surprised there wasn't Bentley's hacking level from Sly Cooper 1 here, or that god damn truck level with the magma monsters at the end of Sly 1.
Also, *days* to beat training Montage? My brother in Christ, you get 2 chapters to even adjust to the controls of sixaxis, and can retry the missions. I never played a Sly cooper game beforehand and was able to do Training Montage first try. *git. gud.*
The Magma monster one wasn't too bad for me actually! The Hacking one was a headache, but wasn't an overly difficult mission compared to the others. Plus everyone has been saying I just plain suck at the Sixaxis levels, but I'm willingly to accept that take 😭
@@slylancey It's alright. I can understand not having an easy time with motion controls, and it is your list. I was just trying to act extra and type something extra goofy to healf-serious half-jokingly say "yeah, git gid." No harm no foul.
Sly 1's hardest missions didn't come from the 1-shot 1-kill gameplay, or from the level layouts. it always came from the extra minigames sprinkled in that would curveball everything else. Those curveballs mainly came in during the end, but here's an interesting video idea for ya: How about a Top 5 best/worst chapters video? Talk in-depth about what makes a chapter good, in your opinion, or what brings down others?
@@No_Sleepee That idea's been on my mind for a bit too! That vid will probrably come in early-mid 2023 sometime since I gotta score everything in the chapter accordingly like missions, world, and story all together!
@@slylancey The hacking missions involving the Sixaxis motion controller were fine all it takes is some time to get use to and a little precision but they were times when the Sixaxis itself threw me off.
personally close to contessa was hella easy for me
I appreciate this is subjective and these very well maybe the worst missions to you, but it seems like this list is more comprised of the most difficult missions and not the worst designed ones. Like the races and turret sections maybe hard, but they’re at least more engaging and creative than half the uninspired stuff in Sly 4.
Sanzaru did Murray so dirty in 4
👆🏾👆🏾👆🏾
The public should be glad I did not make this list. It would just all be missions involving that damn RC car from Sly 3. I'd find a way to complain about that for 30~ish minutes. The Dmitry missions too... They could have at least given him some funny lines to say while doing it, if they were gonna just torture us like that.
🤣🤣
if anyone has trouble with mz ruby heres some advice... SPAM THE BUTTON!!! the game dose not penalize you for missing, only getting hit so just spam the upcoming button and you're guaranteed not to miss
there is also a way to skip the second racing mission by boosting and launching off a wall into the victory area, in general id suggest watching speedrunners as they find ways to get around some of the jank.
also, for me the hardest sly 2 mission has been the one where you make thw bad mojo bomb, those crypts get hard and when you mess up youre basically screwed
it seems you have titled the video wrong. why is it not called top 10 hardest sly cooper missions?
Yeah, the tank mission is bs
11:12 you just have bad reaction time i clear it no problem first try no problem
Sorry, totally disappointed 😂
