I think the Klaww Gang as a whole has an amazing story. The fact that they are all interconnected with some being more involved than others is so interesting and makes the story so much more complex
16:20 that's only a part of it. While the Contesta was part of Arpeggios's grand plan to rebuild Clockwork, She also ran a side scheme. As it's explained in game, She used the spice to make her victims more susceptible to her hypnosis. From there she'd hypnotize the victim into telling her where they stashed all of their stolen loot. From there it just a hop-skip and a jump to collect her freshly stolen goods. Sick, I know, but quite ingenius I'd say.
Growing up, I was always so confused as to how Neyla fused with Clockwork and is now, like, a projection in his mouth. WHAT!? Hahaha. I get how Clockwork himself changed from mortal to robotic. It'd be like going and getting a robotic arm, just doing it for your whole body. But I could just never comprehend how it works on Neyla's end haha
There's a fan theory that the reason Sly 3 has no clue bottles is because you need the Clockwork eyes to see them. Think about it, CW was in Sly 1 and 2, but not 3. Sly 4 has clue bottles, but in 4 Clockwork's eye is a treasure so he has a pressence there
I heard a couple theories about Clockwerk's eye, but this is the first time I'm hearing of this theory 😮 And actually does kind of make sense! Without Clockwerk, we can't go after clue bottles. Probrably because Clockwerk wanted to prevent Sly from getting stronger from the Powerups 🤔
Clockwerk isn't just the best sly villain, he's the best villain in general. He's written and filled out so well that he's literally the perfect antagonist.
Dr. M is my favourite Sly villain even tho Sly 2 is my favourite game I just really like his backstory and he probably has the hardest boss fight in the entire series.
It makes sense that Rajan would still have his spice operations elsewhere, giving him 2 chapters, but I'll be honest- the guy did not deserve two chapters under his name. He was *easily* the weakest of the Sly 2 villains in my opinion, and one of the most forgettable in the series. The moments as to why people remember the Chapters he stars in isn't because of him, it's because of everything else that came along the way. I would have swapped Rajan for Benson of the other list, maybe put both at 10 for best and worst
Got to be honest, Rajan and Arpeggio being on this list are kind of head scratchers to me. Rajan didn’t have a memorable personality and Arpeggio was barely in the game (he was really important for the first mission of episode 8 and then just disappeared). I would probably replace with maybe Jean Bison (he also didn’t have much personality, but I felt it come through more than Rajan, particularly in his interaction with Bentley and during the Canada Games) and the Grizz (he’s so outlandish and ridiculous that to me he is the most memorable, entertaining villain of Sly 4)

Sly grew up, and decided to Life witu carmelita, and learned that friends like murry & bentley are unique in such lifes like thieves. There is more than this thieve life. He fullfilled his Cooper legacy in the cooper vault, where he even learned the overpowered laser-slide from his father. The laser slide wasn't even used in Sly 4. Also, the hate Chip was clcokwerks soul, after its Destruction his Body was non-existent. Saying "oh, but One Eye Didn't vanish just to bring back clockwerk" is against That system. Sunzaru games took good ideas, and tried to continue it, but they they allready lost in the detailed character traits of the characters, and making them superfical, goofy & out off Character. Clockwerk will be always my Absolute Favorite villian in sly, but let it rest. Everything since sly 4 is an insult to the franchise, Story & Character wise. However, good list, general tsao was superb, that dude was not only smart & cunning, but also high skilled in hand to hand & was a strong dark arts user + he had an own army + he could create a bigger army by summoning vampires or a freakn dragon. Sly Cooper is now stuck in time! What if he travels to his Fathers time and notices that his Father is himself who got stuck in time and became evil. Than Sly would have to fight his Father AKA him self and that would be the biggest Boss fight.
I'll be honest. I kinda wished Sly 2 kept Arpeggio as the main baddie. He was able to come up with this huge elaborate scheme, only to be back-stabbed by someone who had practically ZERO MOTIVATION to take the parts for herself. Yeah I'm gonna say it, I think I dislike Neyla more than I do Le Paradox (as much as a whimp he was, at least he had motivation to go after Sly). Arpeggio had the perfect set up to fuse with a hate chip. He hated that he never grew into his wings and he hated the world for their mocking of him. What motivation did Neyla have? NOTHING! I honestly felt she could've been dealt with in Prague or Canada and the rest of the game wouldn't have missed her. Or at the very least make her grudge 100% towards Carmelita who undermined her towards the beginning of the game.

Rajan ended up being pointless. And constessa, they're easily bottom 5 with lefwee, arpeggio, and paradox.

Neyla wasn't inside Clockwerk for long. She could've ended up returning to normal when Clock-La disintegrated. So her returning is possible.
