I bought a M440i gran coupe, and I sold and evo x mr fbo, and the first thing I took the car to a mountain road with a lot of turns and level changes, and I can confirm, power wise the new bmws are great, instant torque, no turbo lag, lots of power but when you brake and corner there is a lot of weight, compared to the old cars.

It looks nothing like any of their other cars, and I feel like this new look is a step in the right direction. I used to hate the G8X platform until I saw it in person, and honestly it makes BMWs stand out even more. Heavy or not, the G90 is still a fire car!
I think people forget that the m5 is a commuter daily driver. Almost no one tracks them so weight doesn't matter. Comfort and highway driving matter much more

The hybrid technology is clearly not that usable yet, too much weight for little range. Lower co2 emissions is good for countries with co2 based car tax but thats the end of positive sides
The BMW G90 has some design flaws. The headlights are too small for the chunky front end. And the rear bumper corners have too steep of an angle and extend downwards too much. Same mistake as in the Skoda Octavia rear bumper. One thing is to have a controversy over a correct design, and another thing is to have a flawed design, like the current 5 - series has. Which is bad.
Not sure why everyone is knocking the weight. Let's see what the performance numbers are .... Lets see if it gets 2.8-3.1 0-60. This is what the current/previous generation does. So far I have not seen any official reviews so lets wait

The design is a mixed bag for me. I really like it but then again i think it looks to tall when it comes to its hight. Look at 3:00 where they are driving towards you. The older cars look wide and flat and sporty while the new one looks somehow narrow and tall. It looks agressive though... more intimidating like a tank thats about to run you over.
Ich hatte mich zeitweise geärgert, dass ich keine m5 bestellt habe mit v8 sondern 550e xdrive mit 6 Zylinder. Jetzt hab ich den "m5" oft in Videos und ein paar mal in echt gesehen. Der Sound ist komplett lächerlich für einen m5. Der 550e klingt mit 2 Zylindern weniger kaum anders und ist deutlich günstiger. Der neue m5 ist daher enttäuschend (nicht der 5er an sich natürlich)
